Their excuse was that they could not fulfill an out-of-state order because they could not charge sales tax. I paid shipping and sales tax on the order, and there was no notice of any restrictions on their website. Curiously, the book was no longer in stock after they canceled my order, and they ignored my communications to find a resolution. This strikes me as dishonest and a poor way to treat customers.

It's a warehouse -- it's one of the top businesses to order games from online -- so they have a lot for purchase that you don't see in the retail area. If you order when you arrive, you may be hanging around for a bit (45 minutes or so in our case) for it to be ready, though hanging out in the game room wasn't a bad time either. Their retail shelves contain several games to peruse as well as other fun bits. My kids liked the four-foot-tall, intricate dice tower that made fun sounds as the dice traveled down. They also had some nerdy stuffies that were neat to see too. And on one side of the showroom are several tables too where you could play a game. My husband came away impressed and with several games. This checked off a board game bucket list item for him!

Special orders are easy to place and Pegasus does a good job communicating product availability for items that are hard to get. Pegasus staff actively participate in my gaming group's Facebook page even though none of them play our game (Malifaux). They inform us about upcoming releases and new hobby products, answer questions, and take note of any special events we might be doing. I think there's been a big turnaround at Pegasus within the last couple of years. When I first went to the store in mid-2016, I didn't think I'd be back. I had the same experience recounted by many of my friends here: poor customer service, dingy surroundings, unwelcoming toward women and non-nerds. My experience today is very different. Staff members I've interacted with have been friendly and attentive. I often see women in the gaming area and behind the counter. The shop won't win any interior design awards, but it's clean and well laid out. If you're still avoiding Pegasus because of unpleasant stories or experiences from a few years ago, I encourage you to give the store another shot.

my husband gave me his sports cards to try and get some extra money for xmas, I went to several local companies and was left very confussed as to what we had and the value. I met with Brian and he helped me understand what we had and explained it in laymens terms as I know nothing about cards and didnt have any idea what we had or the value. We had a really valuable card mixed in with some cards of lower values. He gave us an offer for the card and didnt pressure us to sell it to him. I went online and he was right!!!! We had a very expensive card and had no idea. After looking online for what our card was worth we saw what it was selling for online but there were tons of fees when you sell things online. Brian offered us more than i thought we could get online and didnt charge any fees, after a week of finding out what we had he honered his offer and now we are going to have a amazing xmas and had extra money to put in the bank. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fair, honest person who isnt just looking to make a quick buck on you, he is interested in building relationships with people in the community and educating you! I want to start by saying I already posted a review for this most excellent business and for whatever reason my account was taken done and I was told it was due to fraudulent activity. Hopefully my followers can find me again. Let me start by saying Brian was beyond great , he was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable when it came to all our cards. Everything from Pokemon and Magic to Baseball , Football , Basketball and more. We spent a lot of time together and I couldn't be more thankful for him . It just so happened that I ran into some trouble there in the Madison area and knowing no one I called Brian for help on a chance and he was my Knight in S hining armor , I won't go into all the details but you will never meet a kinder , more easy going soul with a natural way of just being there for someone then Brian. I met Brian after buying some sports cards at a garage sale, I didnt know if they were worth anything but they appeared to be old. After calling a few card shops I felt like I was being treated differently because I am a woman and everyone made me feel like I was wasting their time because I knew nothing about sports cards. Brian was the exception to the rule, he took the time to let me know what I had and then made me an offer to purchase the cards I bought. I thought the offer was fair and I even made some money on what I bought! He took the time to teach me what to look for and told me to call him next time to make sure I was getting what I was paying for. He treated me as though he cared and made me feel very comfortable even though I didnt know much about the cards I bought and didnt hold it against me being a woman in a industry mostly with men. 11 stars! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I don't know the first thing about football cards, so I'm glad I called. Brian was friendly, knowledgeable, kind and extremely helpful. I have a collection of Brett Favre rookie cards that was in a crappy binder from middle schooI, that I was about to sell to a neighbor, and decided to call Brian first. Thank God I did! Not only did he explain the value of the cards, he gave me a new binder for them, with new sleeves, and helped me organize them so that they would present better when I sell them. I would've been selling the collection for pennies had it not been for him!!!! I'll definitely be visiting him again once some of the rookie cards get signed. Thanks Brian!!!! read more

He gave me a very reasonable price, explained to me the differences that I didn't know, and didn't act like I was naive because of my gender, and overall was just really pleasant to deal with.
