Beware! I was lied to. I was coerced into believing I had to make repairs. My service adviser held back information from me purposely so I was tricked into believing that i had to do a certain repair. When I chose not to do the repair he went on and did it anyway so I had to pay for it, then denied it. Liars! Swindlers! read more

Awful. Bought a used 328 with 3k miles and bought extended warranty (don't). Less than 30 days later have warped rotors. Took much arguing for them to cover and they accused me of "aggressive or track driving". Huh? Scrawled "one time only" over invoice. Past 50k only covered a couple of oil changes. All other work not covered by warranty even though it was sold to me as "bumper to bumper except wiper blades and tires". Go to Koala for amazing BMW service! read more

Purchased 3 B's starting in 2002. Rattle in '08 335 was diagnosed as a $150 broken exhaust bracket. Bracket replaced. Fired it up to go home and the great guy that brought it out heard the same rattle. Service Tech said that's normal. Service Manager said that's not normal and more diagnostics ordered. Service Tech was presented to recant his original comment. He was visibly shaken in front of the Service Manager. I asked for and after an hour was provided a loaner after the Svc Mgr lectured me on "loaners are not free"! Got home and got a call from the Adviser that they needed to replace/rebuild both turbos for a mere $7400!! From "that's normal" to drop 1/2 the KBB of the car. They have lost a generation of business from us. I will buy 2 turbos and have a local shop install them. BYE davis auto group... read more

What can I say? $425 for a car battery, $130 charge for a 5 minute installation? Or that the 'Service Adviser' Jason told us there would be a $130 diagnostic charge to tell me the battery was bad (even though his evidence was the exact same printout you get for free at most auto parts dealers)? That they needed to check the car to see if the alternator worked (even though it's clearly stated in the manual that comes with the car that it has a dash indicator for this condition)? Or that the installation was $130 because the 'alternator had to be reset because of the new battery? It took them over two hours to do this while we waited- and no one else was in the waiting room. When I remarked that I watched a video of a guy who changed the battery in five minutes he sarcastically remarked' You want a job here?' We thought about it and decided, yes, we'll gladly take a job that pays $130 for five minute so work */* I understand there are other things that need to be done before you change a battery, but there was no apology whatsoever from this guy despite the fact that he had tied up family visitors from two coasts for two hours. After God knows how long I walked up to the service desk to inquire what was going on and they said the car was almost ready and that it was outside. When I went out there someone was trying to put on a wiper blade. At first I though this was part of their courtesy service, but then they told me someone had accidentally put on new blades and they had to put the old ones back on. The guy doing this didn't have a clue as to how to do it. When I pointed this out to Jason he said That guy's not a technician'- now I'm wondering if the guy that changed the battery was even a technician! I have to say, I don't think I've ever been so rudely treated by anyone, and was totally shocked to have been treated like this at a BMW dealership. Hopefully the dealership addresses this issue ASAP. read more

I took my car in for the replacement of the brake pads that were covered under the warranty. Well once they did their inspection, I was told that I needed my front wheel bearing replace. (A $239.00) charge, I had this done and they never replaced my pads. Well I picked up my car and drove it home, about a week later I hear a noise when I start it up. I took it back to the dealership and the power steering reservoir was empty. I asked them had they done anything with the power steering. They said no. Well now the power steering is leaking and I will need to have this repaired. I spoke with a manager and they seem to think the work that was done had nothing to do with the power steering issue. Well my power steering was not leaking before I took my car in. Beware, they are not to be trusted, very dishonest and their Mechanics are not good at all.. read more

Can I give less than one star? I tried to install a headlight myself, and the plastic plug cracked. I wanted the plug replaced so I made the mistake of taking my 328xi to the Service Department. Ben was my Service Advisor. I dropped my car off and they dropped me off at work. I get a call from Ben who tells me that two wires touched, causing a short in the headlight, and a short in the module. He tells me that it will be $1031 to fix it because they have to remove the bumper. I authorize the repair over the phone. BIG MISTAKE. Ben calls later to tell me that the car needs to be 'reprogrammed' since they replaced the module and that they need to,keep the car overnight. They pick me up and give me a loaner. On my lunch break the next day, I return the loaner and pick up my car. I pull out my credit card to pay the bill, and the invoice reads $1998. Yes, almost $2000 to replace a headlamp. Ben 'conveniently' failed to include the labor charges in the price he quoted me. The parts were $1031. The labor was never mentioned. Had he quoted me almost $2000 to fix my headlamp, I would have gotten a second opinion. What Ben did was deceptive and unethical. But I had no time. I had to get back to work so I could pay for the repair, and is needed my car. This is a warning for anyone who has no choice but to use the BMW Cleveland for service. GET THE QUOTE IN WRITING. MAKE THEM INCLUDE ALL LABOR CHARGES IN THE QUOTE. read more

Pros and cons of my experience...I tip my hat to these folks. I waited 3 hours for a tow truck to tow my car and the driver never showed. I called the dealership and they sent one of their employees to come pick me up and take me to the dealership. They even arranged a tow truck to pick up my car. When I got to the dealership, they already had my loaner car ready to go. But so far, they clearly went above and beyond in terms of customer service and I really appreciated it. The dealership eventually diagnosed a faulty sensor in the car. So far so good BUT (and here comes the big negative) they returned my car to me with a gas tank BELOW EMPTY. When I took my car to the dealership it had more than 1/4 tank of gas. They put 55 miles on it as part of the diagnostic. Here's the kicker: I used their loaner car and filled it up before I returned it. Otherwise, they would have charged me $.25 per mile. But when the dealership works on your car it's okay for them to drain the gas tank and not so much as put a splash of gas in the tank before returning it to me.. It's not like I was expecting them to put a full tank of gas in my car. If someone was paying attention to the instrument panel, surely they would have noticed the low fuel level light. So clearly, someone at the dealership didn't give a shit and felt it was okay to give me a car extremely low on fuel. This is the little things that matter. My interraction with this dealership started off great and then this incident happens and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sorry to say I won't take my car back to this BMW dealership. read more
