He had no sympathy when I told him my wife was sick,he said we all going to get sick and die.dont take your car to him he will over charged you to make money. I've been holding off on an oil change and needed one ASAP! I ended up at BMD, after driving to 2 or 3 different locations and being turned away because they don't do German cars, or wanted $80 for an oil change. (Not paying someone $80 to unscrew a bolt, drain the old oil, replace a filter and refill with 5 qts of synthetic oil. Fully capable of doing it myself, but since my car is a lease I need record of it). I walked up to the shop and asked AB, "how much for an oil change on a 2016 Jetta?". He replied "$50". I recently purchased a used car and after driving it for a couple of days I started hearing some weird squeezing, so I took it to BMD. Upon my arrival Ab welcomed me with a big smile, he took my car in and checked it thoroughly with Jose. Super disappointed and and overcharged to boot. I came to BMD on a whim (and in an emergency) after reading some good Yelp reviews. Um, yeah. I was losing coolant rapidly, which could spell certain death for an engine. On the upside, Ab saw it the same day I dropped it off and had late hours. The downside was he didn't fix the issue. When I came back to pick it up, he hadn't run any tests. He just filled up the overfill tank with coolant. Then he let me have the bottle. All he did was charge me $55 for it. I know, $55 for a $5 bottle of coolant. A steal, right!?!?! He said the fee was for a diagnostic test, except no test was run. I've had people look at my truck for longer, offer me a more thorough explanation of what they thought was wrong, and STILL didn't charge me because they couldn't fix it. I'm more than happy to pay for a diagnostic, but, you have to perform a diagnostic first. Am I right? On top of that, when I went to pick up the truck, his tech kept hitting on me, asking me where I lived and if I was married! Super unprofessional and way inappropriate. Riiiighht? A couple of days later, the overheating problem was still occurring. The shop opened at 8a, so I got there right at open to drop off the car again. No one showed, so I left at 8:20 to find another shop. I called Ab several times, no one picked up. It always (literally) pays to be honest, truthful, professional and diligent. BMD came highly recommended from several friends who use BMD's service for their BMWs. I had a number of problems that were over due and I took my X5 to them. AB was able to go through the problems with me finding the same issues that the BMW diagnostic had found. He was able to do more for less than BMW was going to charge and he explained everything in a way that made sense. I was able to verify the prognosis he gave me and I had no problem letting him do the work. He was able to get the work done for much more reasonable price than BMW wanted.
