The price they charge is very fair and much better than others. (mention YELP for further discount) (you can find cheaper, but the quality of the windows is inferior). I liked the fact that I could go to their website and find other houses nearby that had windows installed by BM Windows. I had an awesome experience with BM Windows from start to finish. The best part, they were cheaper than everyone's bid. I had a total of 9 windows to replace. Three of the nine windows are large trapezoid sky lights which was 50% of the total estimate. I was able to save a good amount since they had recommended the trapezoid windows be a single piece instead of two framed pieces. Four of my windows had to be custom so it took about 3 weeks to get them. To my surprise, the install took only a day and that's with some large wood framing being replaced on the exterior. The installers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. With how much wood work they had to do, I was surprised to see no trace of their work left behind. It's been about a week and we love our windows! It's much cooler in the house and the best part, it's super quiet. read more

Called BM windows asking if they would come by and replace the screen- Michael, the owner promptly called us back and scheduled a two hour window for repair dude to come by. The windows they offer are high quality and the pricing is fair. They were ahead of schedule from the time we placed the order to the call scheduling installation because our order had arrived. I don't remember the name of the guy who did the installation work, but he also was professional and did a great job and finished his work in a timely manner. We are very happy with our new windows! We have noticed a huge difference in the climate of our home since having our windows installed. We have no AC and our heater doesn't work right now, but with the new windows our home has been much more comfortable. On cold nights our home isn't as cold, and on hot days it doesn't get as warm. It's been a year since we've had our windows replaced and we could not be any happier. Out of 5 quotes, Michal came in at the low-mid range with a great product. We chose the Monte Verde brand (I believe its a med range brand) and love them. Canceled the outside noise and we have a much better insulated home. The two guys installed all 14 windows and a slider door in 2 days! They were fast, efficient, and very very good at installing all the windows. The trim finishes around the vinyl looks so good and they cleaned up fast. My only complaint was that one of the guys kept forgetting to wear his booties inside my house. Besides that, we are completely happy with Michal (friendly, professional, no pressure) and our beautiful year old windows. We also got a small tax credit for our windows. Couldn't be more thrilled with my experience with Michael and his company. Michael answered my calls promptly and came to my house personally to do two different measurements for my windows. Four window minimum order. Estimate was around $500 each, totalling about $2,000. I was given a choice of two window types and Michael did not try to up sell me on the more expensive option. We opted for the cheaper manufacturer since it offered essentially the same upgrades (vinyl, dual pane, argon gas insulation, locks, padded sliders). Installation was done by a team of two working directly for BM Windows. They were extremely courteous, efficient, quick, and communicative. They finished the work in lightning speed and the final result was flawless. It really helped with sound deadening and insulation in out home. Thank you all. I had two windows and a sliding patio door installed on Dec 13, 2016 by BM Windows. From the beginning they were very helpful. I had a few bids and their prices were in the middle, I went with them based on Yelp reviews - especially the ones that dealt with condos and HOAs. My HOA was a little bit of a pain in the butt but my salesperson JT handled it well. Install went well even though I live on the second floor and my balcony was cluttered, Mario and Sal installed with professionalism and efficiency. Even after all the rains there has been no problems. I'm really enjoying the benefits of dual pane vinyl windows over my old aluminum windows. Everything slides with ease, looks great, blocks noise from the outside. When warm weather comes around I look forward to having the place cooler because one of the windows I replaced was a skylight window going from picture frame to a single slider means I can open the window to let hot air out. Good company to deal with. We had 6 windows replaced by BM windows 3 or 4 months ago. They quoted me the same price as Coughlin (within $20 on a $3k plus job), and I liked their windows better. Installers did a good job, but we did run into one problem. There was an error in one of the window orders wherein the window right next to my front door was regular glass rather than tempered glass. By code, this should have been tempered glass. When I brought it up with my salesman, he admitted the ordering error, and the problem escalated directly to the owner of the company. They fixed the problem as quickly as possible by replacing the glass with tempered glass. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. read more

This is a follow-up to my 7/23 post. Our new windows were installed a few weeks after the last post, and we are so happy with the result. The team was professional and got the job done in 1 day. The quality of the windows and doors we purchased is exceptional. Everything works well and the difference is amazing. Our windows were original from 1973, so the difference between those and the brand new ones is night and day. After scheduling the install, two guys came and installed everything. They were very polite and professional. They walked us through the process and explained everything once they were finished. Michal also came at the end for the walk-thru. We had 11 windows, and one french slider installed by BM. A second french slider will be installed by a general contractor since we are converting a window to a door. Contractor recommended by BM, so I expect a similar high grade of service. Birds of same feather flock together, amirite? But I digress... Aside from the value, considering the high quality windows BM uses, the customer service culture instilled by the owner is what closed the deal. My wife and I first contacted BM as a result of the numerous high marks given by customers in this forum. I could not help but feel guarded toward so many outstanding reviews on record..."They can't be THAT good" is what I told my wife. Well, they are. From the get-go at my initial call to scheduling a meeting, to imstallation. The process was pleasant. As a potential customer during your first meeting, expect to be educated on windows and be offered choices based on your budget. No high pressure..."This price is only good today" crap. As for the installation, it was done in one day! Carlos and Mario were very quick, methodical, careful and clean during the installation. You can tell these gentlemen are professionals, take pride in their work and know their craft. It is amazing what new windows do to a home! I have an HOA which I needed to get the windows approved before they were installed. Mike provided me everything I needed for them to help the process go smoothly. They were approved, no problem. Michael installed windows in my condo in December 2015 and the entire experience could not have been better. He was supportive and helpful with an outrageously unreasonable HOA and he cheerfully supplied everything I needed to meet their unreasonable demands. He promised the installation would not be nearly as disruptive as I imagined it would be and he was exactly right. I work at home and I was able to work that day while the windows were being installed. His price was better than any of the bids I received and included the type of windows we needed in a county fire zone. His crew was amazing and the installation went very well. Beautiful windows and doors again! Our old windows and doors were 20 years old, with clouded panes due to gas leaks. After trying to get bids from four different companies, we decided to go with Jim from BM Windows and Doors. He was the only one to actually give us a quote on site the same day he measured. The other companies' reps all had to go back to the office and check with their management before they could bid, and I had a heck of a time getting them to respond weeks after taking measurements. Not so with Jim. I set up a visit to their showroom with Doreen at their office in Mira Mesa and both my husband and I were impressed with the quality of the doors and windows. The installation was done on time, as scheduled by Carlos, Pedro and Francisco who were all very professional and thorough. Oh man! New windows look even better when they come with great service!! I recently purchased a new condo that unfortunately came equipped with 6, old and broken windows that needed to be replaced! I scoured the Internet and found a couple companies who gave me quotes. However, I couldn't find the right company for the job - that is until I stumbled across BM Windows! Michael, at BM Windows, was VERY friendly and professional. He came out at his scheduled time and got right to work. He did the measurements quickly and explained the product thoroughly. He was honest about the windows he was quoting and made sure they would work for our individual needs, rather than quoting us the most expensive brand and calling it a day. He even offered to meet us at his showroom on his day off so we could see the windows in person! The windows were manufactured and delivered right at the same time Michael promised us they would be! They were able to come out to install 3 days after they received them in their office!!! Francisco and Pedro came to install our windows and let me just say: "THEY ARE MASTERS OF THEIR CRAFT WITH THE PERSONALITIES TO MATCH". They knew exactly what they were doing, worked quickly and throughly and then triple checked all of their work. I'm writing this review of BM Windows because I was really blown away by my experience. I found BM Windows through their excellent Yelp reviews. I was aware that vinyl windows are a quality, maintenance-free product, and I was ready to go that route. I've recently bought this house and I've been a bit overwhelmed with various projects, so I was ready to say, "Do it." Of course I had never met Michal before; so I was surprised when he took the time to examine my existing windows and pointed out that vinyl would not be a good solution for me because I need to paint the outside. I knew vinyl windows couldn't be painted, but, frankly, I had been so distracted I hadn't noticed this very important detail. With the slightest amount of salesmanship he could have easily convinced me to let him put in that window, and it would have been my mistake, not his. But he talked himself out of that job, looking out for me, a guy he's never met before. It gets better. Next I show him the damaged french doors I need to replace. Michal tells me that the doors he sells are really a higher quality than is required for my situation. Michal explained to me I could get a less expensive product that would be suitable for about half what vinyl doors would cost me. Holy cow! He talked himself out of another job, looking out for me, a guy he's never met before. So I didn't get a chance to hire him. But he gets a five star review because, based on my experience, you can count on this guy to be honest. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. read more

BM Windows's crew of Sal and Mario just finished the install and I'm soooooo happy! The pricing, the scheduling, arrival time, time to completion...everything went according to plan. Sal has been doing this a long time and when he hit an obstacle because of some settling of one corner of the structure, he was able to make it work. They all slide with a fingertip, they are spotless, and they make it spooky quiet inside. I strongly recommend them for Window and door replacements. All materials are made in the USA. This was really an almost effortless experience. 12/20/16-I noticed a couple of smudges between the glass of the sliding glass door. I called BM, they called Anlin, and Pudge S. came out with a replacement piece of glass and installed it in a quick minute. They worked around my schedule to do the replacement. This entire experience has been a positive one and I highly recommend both companies. What defines a great company vs a good company is in how they deal with the occasional problems that come up. read more

Jim from BM Windows will come out for a bid and will tell you lies to upcharge you. Jim at BM will charge much more than the other companies for the same exact item, and will then tell you that you need more expensive windows and that the others (cheaper, equally great windows with a different design) will leak, just to sell something more expensive that you don't need. I confirmed everything with Anlin, reading his direct text messages to me over the phone, and Anlin admitted he's straight up lying to make a sale. Go with Distinctive home improvements or JWG his biggest competitors. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BM, Jim is completely unethical!....and smells VERY heavily of smoke!! read more

This is an update to a review I wrote for BM Windows in 2015, when they installed double-pane vinyl windows at my house. So it's three years later and these windows have been wonderful year-round. There have been no problems whatsoever and I love these windows! The house is cooler in summer and stays warmer in winter. The windows have worked so well keeping summer heat out that they changed my whole experience of summer out here in East County. Mike's bid was so competitive that we actually cancelled another estimate b/c we knew we wouldn't get a better price! They worked fast and did a great job.
