I really struggled with my wheels getting stuck. Very small airport, which makes it very quick to check in. Everyone is nice and patient, i needed extra help one and the AA agent was patient with me, probably because there was no one in line. There is a bar/resturant inside airport, clean restrooms. They have Avis, enterprise and i think one other car rental spots.

Parking was sufficient and they a had a decent sized lot for those who were leaving their car. I believe its about $30 to leave your car in the lot. The airport is small and it was not busy. We checked in on the kiosks and paid for our checked bag. Upon checking in our bag, we were given zip ties to tie the zippers together. (We were told this is because the airport in Mexico City has a high crime rate and there are many thefts between the baggage handlers.) Check in and baggage drop off took about 10 minutes. Security was a breeze and we didn't even have to take off our shoes. They do have a market past security and we were able to buy snacks and drinks for the flight. The plane arrived on time and the boarding process was smooth. We did have to board the plane outside and climb up some wobbly stairs to do so. Kind of scaryyy. Employees were friendly and the airport was clean. I would definitely fly out of here again if need be. Oh and we did not have to pay anything extra for permits etc.

Love this airport! I…read morelearned to fly at this airport. Did you know the runway is long enough to take off and land full sized jets? There are a lot of small jets use it now... usually the visiting doctors who have practices in multiple cities get that luxury. With such a long runway, this airport is ideal for learning to fly! The hanger space has improved greatly since the new hanger facilities went in. The new FBO is way nicer as well. Tough if you have to park out on the tarmac in the summer though. The place can get so stinking hot you can not touch anything! I guess that is one of the things you have to live with though flying into an airport smack dab in the middle of the desert! The restaurant located on facility has good food and a full bar but the service is just horrible! I guess that is why it is always empty. Too bad too and it is just beautiful inside! Gas prices are fair. Service is good. Rental planes are not the best. It is really too bad all of the commercial carriers pulled out of Lake Havasu City as the city really needs some way to get in and out quickly.

I'm guessing that's why dogs would never be banned next to water. My suggestions: 1) enforce that restaurants and shops stay open till 3 am. Yes 3 am like Mexico or Europe where they are actually open 24/7 2) start few more night clubs. That should take elderly to other areas outside where they can have the peace they want ( look at redrock hotel in Vegas, I actually stay there too when I want quiet time) 3) police should be less in your face and do their things behind the scenes like in Europe

I was having dental surgery done in the border town of Los Algodones. I told Vick when he dropped me off for my appt. that I wasn't sure when I would be done, though I guessed around 5:30 or 6:00. I said I would call him when I was ready to go. I didn't get out til about 7:30 and it was getting dark. I called Vick and he said he was waiting at the Port of Entry! I was so grateful and relieved! He didn't even wait for my call. He just made a point of being there! All I can say is his service goes above and beyond any other service in the area, Believe me, I had the chance to find that truth out personally. Two cab companies I tried were very late after they had promised they were 10 minutes away! You can be sure Vick will be there when you expect him to be, in a clean car, with a capable reassuring demeanor. I am scheduled to come back to Yuma in late August. However, once it came down to my drop off is when things took a nasty turn. My drop-off was scheduled 3 weeks in advance. The day before my flight I was called and told my pick-up would be at 5:35am and my departing flight did not take off until 1:30pm. I realized I would be sitting in the airport waiting for 5+ hours to then board a 5 hour flight, I called back to see if there was any way I could be picked up at a later time. Upon calling the lovely Carol immediately began speaking over me several times told me "Honey you've got the wrong service and you're calling the wrong place". After struggling to get any words out I asked how that was possible since I already paid and they were picking me up the following morning from my home. She then changed her tune, got my name and said "NOPE! we can't do anything for you!".. at this point I knew she wasn't going to help regardless so I hung up. About 10 minutes later I get a call back from a random number, I wasn't going to pick up but then I thought it might be the service calling back to apologize for their behavior or to tell me they'd try to accommodate me. BOY WAS I WRONG! It seems Carol called me from her private number only to say "We will not be refunding you and I'm going to make sure you never ride with us again. You are totally out of control". She went full blown Karen. It's surprising that with customer service like that they still get any business! I haven't been refunded any money for a trip I paid Havasu/Vegas Express company in advance and Miss Carol cancelled cuz it seemed she was having a bad day. Although she may have tried to inconvenience me the night before a flight I ended up staying longer on vacation! But hey, I figure they need the money more than I do.
