I called for a full hookup space for 4 rigs at the busiest week in January and Dawn was able to find me 4 back in spaces together. Rice ranch is the closest park to most of the action. We have stayed there in the past and found it very convenient since i use a mobility device. Thanks, Dawn for your help. read more

I am giving this RV park under new owner, 2 stars. They don't have showers or bathrooms that their Guests could use, like Tumbleweed RV Park does, down the street. Dry camping is not allowed here at Rice Ranch, so I am rating 2 stars. I am also rating two stars because I think their rates are the most expensive, substantially more than Tumbleweed and some other RV parks on the Northside of the I 10. But I don't see any benefits or amenities for $55 night that are better than other cheaper RV parks, except the location is closer to the Big RV Tent and the swap meets. As a result, our motorhome rally did not return to this RV Park a second time. We found a RV park for $25. For full hookups, less than half of Rice Ranch price for full hookups. Our new RV Park is next to a restaurant and has plenty of spaces for our annual rally available during the dates for the Jan 2025 Big RV Tent show. read more

Came to Quartzsite for the first time with a couple of friends. One of the couples has been visiting Quartzsite for years and had been staying at this same park before it was bought by the new owner. Rice Ranch RV Park offers a convenient location for attendees of the town's renowned rock and gem shows. Situated directly across from the Big Tent, the park provides easy access to major events like the Tyson Wells Rock & Gem Show. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and spacious gravel sites that can accommodate larger RVs with plenty of space for their off road vehicles. They also have 2 pickleball courts for a friend match among friends and family. However, amenities are basic, with no Wi-Fi, clubhouse, laundry, or shower facilities available. The park's prime location next to the Tyson Wells Open Air Market and the Big Tent makes it an ideal choice for rock and gem enthusiasts seeking proximity to the action. The park is centrally located to numerous off road trails, restaurants, and gas stations. I'd recommend it, especially if you're attending the show. read more

We have been coming here for 15 years! It is now under new "Family" ownership and they have worked hard to clean it up! The sites are still dirt and with the wind, quite dusty. Bring your Claritin & nose spray! I hope they bring in something to keep the dust down. It is the perfect location for the RV, Gem & Geode and Tyson Well shows! We love coming during this time of year, January 15th for 2 weeks. This year they had a weekly reduced rate, but next year they will not honor the tradition of this park with a special reduced rate during the show! Very disappointed as they have no amenities! They are working on a Pickle Ball Court, but I hope they will have a few washer and dryers for those of us that stay longer. They may put in hot tubs but not for awhile. That would be awesome for our sore muscles with going to the various shows listed above. Don't forget about the Swapmeet on the other side of the I10! The dog park is nice, but it would be helpful to divide it into 2 spaces. One for Small and one for Big dogs. You have to wait until others leave with their hyper and aggressive dogs. Mine is a Chihuahua Mix, 15 1/2, deaf and one eye. I have to be very protective that another agdog does not damage her one good eye read more

This is the Original Rice ranch and the new owners have added a nice rock fence, the entrance is about 1000 feet down the street now but they really have upgraded and cleaned the place up. There is even a pickle ball court. The new owners are super nice and helpful and this is the park that is right across the street from the show. Don't get this park confused with the one further down the street called Rice Ranch North, that one is not comfortable walking distance and they are not as nice. read more

We live close by in Havasu. Our friends have been coming to this park for years because of the closeness to the Big tent and the rest of the open air sellers and great restaurants. That is a big plus because you don't have to get in your car to go where the action is. Walking distance to everything. Holly and husband have been very helpful getting us the best possible spot for our truck and trailer. We also bring along our RZR to motor around all the off roading areas. They have upgraded the area by grading it and cleaning every inch of the park. I'm sure that its in the works to upgrade lots more. I can't wait to get there and start relaxing with friends. We are bringing our Dachshund, 1/2 years, Isabella. read more

After a day of travel and walking the tents we needed a shower. Though Rice Ranch is a nice campground because it was under new management there was not yet showers, bathrooms or laundry facilities. Frustrating as we were looking for a relaxing shower before bedtime. It is very handy to the tent area if that's your cup of tea. We will pass by Quartzsite on our next trip. read more

The park is right next door to Tyson Wells Open Air market and the big tent. The new owners have graded the park, outlined all the sites, put in a dog run and Pickle ball courts are in the works. We just returned from Quartzite. This was our 1st visit and I wanted to find a RV Park that was close to the tent. I read the reviews and was a bit nervous but read that Rice Ranch was under new management so I thought we would give them a try. We were very impressed with the location, the park, the size of the rv spots, and the cleanliness of the park itself. When we arrived, it took a little bit of time to check in since they had quite a few people checking it at the same time. They have people with golf carts that take you to your RV spot. Also, trash is picked up daily as long as you leave your bag in front of your RV in the morning, otherwise there is a dumpster at the corner of the park. Also, they rent out fire pits which we may have utilized if we were staying longer. Great RV Park! We would definitely come back to this park! read more

It is a big gravel parking lot with a busy highway on one side. There is a toilet but it was without toilet paper or a way to sanitize your hands. It is cheap to stay there but it is barebones. It looks as though some units live there permanently. There are some vendors and food stands nearby. read more

This is a great location when your plans include the Big Tent event, Rock shopping or wandering through the swap meets. All of those are within Walking Distance. Hookups which is the best. Price seems high, but it beats being out boondocking! read more

In the past we have usually boondocked in the BLM when we've visited Quartzsite. This year we decided to be a little different. We stayed at Rice Ranch. It's about the most convenient RV park in the whole town. It's walking distance to Kuene St. where many of the vendors are and also just across the road from the Big Tent. Sites are large. Some are pull-thurs and others back-ins. Some have full hookups and others are for dry camping. It's a great place and if we come again, we'll definitely stay here. read more

This is the fourth time we've stayed here, largely because it's right across the street from the "Big White Tent" where all things RV-related are found. In previous years the management has gone out of their way to be helpful. Today, not so much. As you can see by the picture, this is our site, and we're told that they're assigned upon arrival. The park was probably about half full when we got here. When we asked to move the gentleman(?) got angry and yelled at us and said that if we didn't like it we could get a refund and leave. Since we had no car and someone with a recent hip replacement we were pretty much stuck. If we ever decide to come back to Quartzsite we'll definitely be looking for another place to stay. Attempted to make a reservation and was told by Sean that he would be in the office the following day and to call back between 10/1030. Called and was told he was working outside and he would call back and that he had our number from caller ID. Never heard from him so called again late afternoon and was told once again by Sean that he was not in the office and to "maybe" call him again on Friday (today is Wednesday). What is that about and what sort of customer service is this? We are with a large group that attends the RV tent event each year and another person has called and not received a call back either. Not sure if this individual is the owner or a member of the staff but clearly has no business sense. One less customer for this place and retailers at this event. read more

Our group has been coming to Rice Ranch for 10 years. Staying at least a week. We started out with 20+ sites. In these last years, our group size has decreased. This year, we had to cancel some sites, some were cancelled in Nov, and a few more in late Dec. When we actually arrived, went over to pay our group bill, were told that we owed 1 nites fee for every spot we cancelled. Nothing was said about charging for cancellations at the time the sites were cancelled. We had no contract that told of charges, no notification at the time of the phone calls. The additional sites we gave up have been filled. Very disappointed in this policy being changed without ANY notice. Our group was charged over $300 for fees we were never told about. Looked at their website, and could not fine any reservation policies at all. Beware of this one. read more

This is a "bare bones" site but power and water and sewer are there ( though one member of our group reported bad rust in his water filter from here). We were there during the "Big Tent Week" at the end of January 2019 when it was raining so it was very muddy. In there defense a fellow came around with gravel in places and tried to smooth out ruts.
