They are very flexible here if you have to change something. It's about 50% permanent or semi permanent residents here. They serve coffee and donuts a few days a week in the morning at 8. The residents were very friendly and included us in conversations. read more

The people are always engaged in activities that all are welcome to join like games, crafts, coffee&donuts, holiday meals, and helping each other as needed. The lapidary and jacuzzi are fun amenities. There's a laundry room with showers and a place to wash your vehicle. The palm trees are so nice; there's a little cactus garden; and there's citrus trees everywhere (oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and tangelos). read more

Its my second stay here. Its always been hospitable and welcoming. Great wifi. Nice owner.

The owner is ok, it's the nosy busy bodies that hurt the experience. And the fact the owner doesn't grow a pair and tell them to back off! I don't gossip like most people do. I stay to myself. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice park always clean. Kinda loud next to the freeway. But because of the haggs, I won't give a higher score. read more

I can not recommend this park enough!!! My absolute favorite in town, and I've stayed at a few of them at my time in Q! Johnson is one of the nicest guys/owners I've met! I stayed for two years, and not a single time did I feel stressed by the park! If you want a welcoming RELAXED feeling, where everyone goes out of their way to say hi and watch out for each other then this should be your choice. The laundry room is great as well as the hot tub!! We had a 6 year old child when we came to the park and once again Johnsons the owner was nothing but kind and helpful the ENTIRE time! Again if you just want to relax and enjoy Q this park is perfect it's right on Main Street within walking distance of everything the town has to offer with the amenities that matter the most!! thank you Johnsons for everything you did I made a friend in a place I never expected much respect to you and all your efforts!! we only get one life, you enjoy yours!!! read more

This is a poorly run park. Their office is only open from 1 to 3 PM. As of March 1 the office person is no longer working. Good luck getting a return call from the owner. One of the things you're paying for is the hot tub. It's nice when it works. For the month I've been here it has been broken and not working for at least three weeks. When I checked in, I hadn't checked the website. My bad. They told me it was $295 for the week, $337 with taxes. I half jokingly said, is there a two week price. They said no. They didn't tell me that for $87 more (monthly is $425 with no tax added on), I could have stayed for a month. A couple of days later I realize I should've just paid for a month, I talked to the office person, she said I could pay the difference between the weekly and monthly rate and change it to a month. The owner said no.. Showers are small by the laundry room. Hot water is scalding hot. My partner finally managed to get the water adjusted correctly, then 30 seconds into her shower it turned scalding. She was lucky she was able to move out of it fast enough to not get burnt. Shower by the hot tub is larger and has better regulated water temperature. The shower building is not heated. On cold days, that's what it is. It might be worth staying here for a month if you really like the hot tub. The daily rate is not worth it. The weekly rate is barely less than the daily rate. read more

When I rate RV parks I do so based on the geographic area and I don't compare a park in an exclusive area like Las Vegas or San Diego, with an RV in Bizbee or Quartzsite Arizona. That's apples and oranges and not an equitable methodology. For the Quartzsite area 88 Shades is a great little park. The owners and staff are easy to get along with and the park is quiet and reasonably maintained. It's central to what is happening which is also nice. The showers and laundry, although dated are nice and the hot water goes on forever. The WiFi is dome of the best I have experienced this season with only an occasional spooling while streaming Netflix. The price is great so all an all I will stay here again. read more

The homeless are a huge problem. The roads are crappy and in disrepair. The park overall is going to crap!

1. SECURITY No perimeter fence, no gate, no security video, open access on 4 sides. Could observe a fence between park and I 10 which is the boundary on the south. 2. SPEED LIMITS Ignored by most including 4wheelers and golf carts. Management is attempting to address but it is an uphill battle. VERY DUSTY roads. 3. PARK WATER Very hard water. Does taste acceptable but decided to go to "Big Market" to get purified water. Would be good for park to have on site. 4. SHOWERS Two for each located with laundry. Showers are small, old and worst of all really dirty. Maybe just too old to look clean. One shower each located at the spa area but you'll have to check it out. Appears to not be heated from the cold mornings I went there. 5. SITE SIZE Some are better than others. Ours was to small to pull through, had to back out. All gravel like the roads. Only a few have picnic tables, ask if important to you. I 10 noise is more of a concern as you go south in the park. 6. LAUNDRY Wash $1.00 $1.25 & $1.50 Dry $1.25. Number of machines was ok but was very busy at times. Nice large area to hang clothes but is next to dusty road. 7. NOISE Park is bordered by I 10, Business I 10, & SR 95. Traffic noise gets intense at times. 8. STAFF Those who I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The staff who collects the propane tanks, refills and returns really does a great job rain or shine. 9. SOME SERVICES WiFi- my experience was it was too slow, cell signal was very good so I stayed with that. Propane tank refill. Set tank by the curb on Tuesday and Thursday, they will p/u refill and return. Some sites have concrete patios, all I observed puddled water in the middle when it rained. There is NO dog park or dog walk. The wash at the end of the park is available. Plenty of activities, jam sessions, park BBQ's, horseshoes etc. 10. OVERALL. I WILL NOT STAY AGAIN. Extremely dusty even for Quartzsite. Speeding on very dusty roads is the major reason. Coach was covered in dust even though we kept it closed up with the air on instead of enjoying the cool air. DIRTY showers, NO dog park. People allow their dogs to enter your site, occupied or not, and do their business. Terrible practice even though it's against the rules it is common. A definite health issue. read more

Not quite what we expected after the hoopla we were told on the phone when we made reservations with Wanda. RV Space was small and had no concrete patio; wifi basically none existent, several empty and trashy trailers set throughout the park which downgrades the overall appearance. Fruit trees produced very small oranges and grapefruit due to the lack of being watered. If you ever stay here, make sure to save your receipts as the office help was bad at charging twice for propane and power, which we had to straighten out! The only advantage to this park is the people...the fellow snowbirds we met. The jam sessions, chapel and dinner gatherings made our stay tolerable. Overall, this park is poorly managed and is in need of a major clean up! read more

We liked the downtown location of this one. Older, established park, but prices quite reasonable for the last two weeks in Jan. During RV and Gems and Minerals shows. Only $25 a Nite. The temporary spots that were the only ones available were small, but we hadn't made reservations, so we're glad to get in. Silly Al's only a block away, and the Yacht Club only a couple. Would definitely stay here again, but would make reservations first. read more

Showers are nice. Only one toilet in the mens and women's restrooms. Reasonable price. Staff were polite, But, Wanda took my reservation and had some trouble. She asked for my number again, and when I later checked my Visa account I had been charged twice. I called and explained it to her and she said she would credit my account as soon as she finished with a customer. When we got there a week later I asked how that went and she asked how they would know we got charged twice. So I got out the computer and showed her our online account. Then she agreed to credit the account. Also called the day before we arrived to say we had a couple of packages coming in. Wanda said she would look for them. When we got there, she explained that any mail addressed to their street address is automatically returned to sender. I stayed at this park for two months in winter of 2019. I was placed on the southern zone, close to the i10. There's a lot of traffic on this interstate, it's none stop, day and night, so constant back ground noise. Very annoying for my like. My biggest disappointement is the electric bill. Their meter doesn't work right!! They charged me around $45/month, when other parks I was in were about $17/month. I got a tiny trailer, single guy, no hot water tank, I use my solar during daytime. Plus my neighbor was charged around $27/month, with a big 5th wheel trailer, hot water tank, A/C, the whole deal!! So if those aren't proofs something's wrong with my meter... I complained, but I got told those are meter readings, so that's it. Also, they charge $3 for the monthly reading!! I don't know if that practice is common, but that's just a ridiculous fee to top it all. Wi-Fi is very lame, frustrating. There's a pressure machine to wash your car/rv, but it's not working. Seems to be that way for a long time. The restrooms aren't that clean. The showers were not that appealing, with a stinky moldy curtain. On the other end, laundry room has nice prices. There are several citrus trees on the premises (I enjoyed a lot) and they recycle cans, bottles and cardboard. So three good things I appreciated. Notice that most of the clients have permanent set ups, so it's not a travelling crowd. One neighbor had 2 small dogs constantly barking at everything that moves. I won't go back for sure. read more

This park was very easy to get in and out, had nice size spaces for a big RV - we have a 42' motorhome with a tow vehicle. Seems to have been upgraded since we were last here. Prices were great and we especially liked the wifi and cable since we were also working while there. Even though it was hotter than the dickens there, the mornings and evenings were cooler. Staff was very helpful and caring - and my dog liked going for walks and seeing all the rabbits. The grounds and buildings were very clean...the showers and restrooms were awesome. I would highly recommend if you are ever planning a stay in Quartzite! read more

88 Shades is definitely not closed. I phoned and made a reservation this morning. They told me another RV park in Quartzsite has been given the same erroneous report. The results are in!! I did the research and there is no doubt that 88 Shades RV park is the best RV park in Quartzsite for several reasons. First, it is the only RV park in Quartzsited with a spool (large spa/pool). there is no other RV park in Quartzsite with a pool or spa. Secondly, the people who stay at 88 Shades either stay there year round or return every year! There are a list of daily activities (desert golf, shuffle board, poker, painting, sewing, rc flying, and much, much, more. There are weekly potlucks that are fantastic. the people are friendly and everyone is active and willing to help everyone else in any way they can. The park is very clean and well kept and there are many trees full of oranges, grapefruits and tangelos. It is truly a joyous vacation site designed to make people like most happy in retirement years or just enjoying a week of vacation. read more
