The mechanic here is embroiled in several lawsuits and FAA investigations for faulty maintenance work. Multiple pilots have been banned, because they complained about what is happening here. And the new/old owners are tied up in several lawsuits with surrounding homeowners, over the changed access rights to the airport. Several attempts to sell this airport have failed. And now, new multistory construction, off the end of the runway, is closing in on the area surrounding this airport. It is only a short matter of time, until this place is closed down, for new development. (They almost $2.00/Gal difference in fuel price, compared to Thermal, which is only 5 minutes and 6 miles away, is astounding, and a good example of the poor management practices here !)

Our driver, Victor, was wonderful to work with and arrived on time each day in a spotless SUV. While the post-festival transportation scene is usually chaotic, that wasn't our experience at all. Victor secured a prime spot in the lot 5 hours before our pickup time and was standing outside his vehicle, smiling and waving at 1am when we exited the festival. I'd give you ten stars if I could. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

Fabien showed up on time and even brought us some personalized anniversary cookies he had made! Really made the ride that much better. We had an issue on P/U from the PGA tourney as it was extremely crowded as 1000s of fans were exiting following the Journey concert and our Driver Sam who desperately made many efforts to get to us so we could avoid a long walk to the shuttle lot deserves a huge Thank You! She showed tremendous patience with us and the whole situation and ended up picking us up exactly where she dropped us off despite traffic being diverted all over. She is 1st class and pretty much saved a long night for us with her persistence on getting us. This Co. is awesome, and the reason is because they have quality people that care! We will be using them every time we are visiting the desert! Highly recommend!

I have flown out of the Tijuana airport a few times in my life, the most recent time being last…read moreweek. It was the first time I went to that airport since CBX had been constructed. Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.

I used CBX to fly from TIJ to San Miguel Allende 10 years ago, and recently to Cancun. Both times were uneventful, exactly how I like my airport experiences to be. Purchase your CBX pass and parking ahead of time. Parking is priced cheapest in the dirt lot and most expensive in the covered/paved lot. I prefer the Goldilocks of uncovered paved in Lot A up front. Upon arrival, scan your CBX ticket and boarding pass (you can link them and just scan boarding pass as well, but don't need to). Same on the way back.
