For Mother's Day, my family and I came here for brunch, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Our server, Nick, was absolutely fantastic, truly unlike any waiter I've had before. He gave us amazing recommendations, provided exceptional service, and made us feel genuinely happy to be there. Restaurants need more employees like him! The food was incredible. We ordered the crispy rice tuna and the crispy rice crab, and both were outstanding. We also tried the crunchy French toast, the steak chilaquiles, the avocado toast, and the All-American breakfast, and every single dish was nothing but fantastic! Brunch overall was delicious, the coffee was great, and the atmosphere was amazing. Considering it was Mother's Day and they were extremely busy, everything still came out quickly and the service was seamless. We're already excited to come back and try the dinner menu since we focused mostly on brunch this time. I'm so glad we discovered this gem in the Commons. This is a great addition to the local happy hour scene! The Golden Hour is from 3:30-5:30 daily. When we arrived around 4pm on a Friday, there were plenty of spots, but it filled up very quickly. Don't sleep on this place! Lush, swanky interior with great service from Roya and the rest of the bar team. The happy hour items aren't cheap, but they're great quality and a great deal off the regular menu price. We enjoyed the BLVD Martini with Grey Goose ($18--though I jsut noticed now on my receipt that we were overcharged for this at $24; double check your receipt before you pay. That's the only reason for 4 stars), the Lemon Drop ($14), and the Watermelon Margarita with mezcal ($12). For food, we also enjoyed the Oysters ($18 for 6), the Salmon Dry Miso ($12), and the BLVD Burger ($18 plus $8 for fries). We had a great time chatting with the bartenders and some fellow patrons, as well as people watching. While I will meticulously check my receipt next time, I still recommend this place in your happy hour repertoire. read more

Great, upscale happy hour but get there early to get a spot because it gets busy! Happy hour is until 5:30 but to be safe I would try to get there by 4:00 if you can. Service was awesome all night. They really elevated the experience which sometimes could be chaotic during happy hour. The martini is $18 on happy hour, not exactly a deal, but with the "side car" of almost another pour of the drink it is worth the price. The BLVD burger was pretty good but I would try something different next time. The fries were massive and filled us up quickly so we didn't order more items. Second visit to BLVD and this time it was just a great experience all around. The staff was great and attentive, the General Manager was very kind and welcoming, and 2 kind patrons paid for our bill as a total and complete surprise at the end of the night!! Stand outs of the night that we enjoyed-- a great sushi roll selection in which was a staff recommendation and the fries were completely amazing. I've been here for lunch and for DineLA - I'd compare BLVD Steak to STK (the one in Woodland Hills, not Vegas). It's a good steakhouse by Valley standards, in short, but offers much more than just meat which I like. The interior is new and appealing and green. The furniture is comfy and aesthetically pleasing. We preferred to sit indoors in one of their booths. Bar seating and patio seating are also available. My picks: Salmon Dry Miso, Steak Tartare, Crispy Broccolini, and Shoestring Fries. I was less keen on the BLVD Burger and Strawberry Kale Salad, but the rest of my table raved about them. If we were a hungrier group, we would have split the bone-in ribeye, which seemed like a popular item. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but to be expected for a steakhouse and an eatery in Calabasas. Service was efficient, no complaints. Free parking all around the Calabasas Commons, or else there's valet just nearby. BLVD Steak is near King's Fish House in the far corner of the Commons. read more

Blvd Steak really exceeded my expectations for our Valentines reservation, and the food, service, and ambiance was over the top outstanding. We ordered a lemon drop and peach martini, to go with the king crab legs, and dry aged bone-in 16oz ribeye, with a side of mashed potatoes and shoestring fries. Everything was delicious, and perfectly cooked. Considering how busy it was during dinner, the team were constantly attentive. Starter: salmon dry miso* yuzu, dried miso, olive oil Main: BIVD burger* westholme wagyu, fontina, arugula, truffle aioli, crispy shallots, shoestring fries Dessert: vanilla ice cream The salmon was fresh and had a good amount of acidity. Plus the dried miso gave it a good texture. The burger was really good! Juicy and cooked how I asked. The bun was soft and airy and the truffle aioli gave it some decadence. The fries were hot and crispy and yes I did dip them into my vanilla ice cream for dessert. It's a nice restaurant with very attentive staff. I live by this restaurant and have been coming to it since it opened. Today I didn't get to have the mother's day I wanted due to another restaurant mixing up my reservation. I didn't eat all day so I decided to get a delicious steak from a place I frequent all the time. Unfortunately they dropped the ball. Location 4 stars: At the Commons shopping plaza in the Old Town area of Calabasas, California, off of Calabasas Road and Park Granada. It is located near the King's Fish House, on the Northeast side of the plaza. They have paid Valet parking on busier nights (but they were not there on a Sunday when I visited). There is also free self-parking on the premises, but you may have to walk a bit as the closer spaces are hard to come by. Venue 4.5 stars: Beautiful, contemporary and upscale setting with indoor tables and booths, outdoor tables and a nice large bar area. Lively, happening vibe. The background music is louder than your average restaurant, so you'll need to talk over the music to keep a conversation going. They take reservations on their website and on Resy. BTW this is the same ownership as Taisho and Casitas restaurants on Ventura Blvd, and they do also have another BLVD location on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. Service 4.5 stars: Super friendly and professional Maître d. Polite and professional server and bussers. Our server was attentive for the most part, but the service ended abruptly once the check was paid :D We were celebrating two birthdays and received two complimentary desserts which was super nice and much appreciated! They do add a 3% California Wages and Benefits surcharge to the check. My issue with this is why not simply add this 3% to the prices on the menu so that diners are aware? Food 3 stars: Modern American cuisine with international influences and a variety of Steaks. We had the Tuna Tartare and the Wagyu Meatball as appetizers, and the French Dip, the Faroe Island Salmon and the Spaghetti and Meatball as our main plates. The main plates do NOT come with any sides at all, so we ended up ordering separate side dishes which are expensive for what they are. We ordered the Shoestring Fries and the Chipotle Lime Corn, for $16 each. Taste wise, both the Salmon and the Prime Rib (in the French Dip) were way too salty. Not sure what happened there but we would humbly suggest to the chef to hold back on the salt :D The Au Jus for the French Dip also tasted burned. Drinks 3 stars: Large assortment of unique and beautiful-looking specialty cocktails, full bar, wine and soft drinks. The drinks are quite expensive ($28 for a Manhattan, $26 for the Martini, and the least expensive glass of Cabernet for $26). We had the White Negroni (unique concept and pretty presentation (see pic) but overly sweet and no hint of the gin), and a glass of the Thomas George Pinot Noir. The Last Word 3.5 stars: The decor, the vibe and the service are certainly excellent. To approach 5 stars, they should work on the food and the drinks. First time. Visited with a friend at his suggestion. Exceptional service, friendly hosts, gracious and efficient bartenders, our wait staff and support was top notch. Had an awesome vodka martini and my friend had two tasty mescal margaritas. Steaks were prepared perfectly, medium rare NYStrip and the 12 oz Filet was just right at rare.!! Excellent side dishes, spinach, lime-corn special and mashed potatoes. All complimented by a Russian River Pinot Noir. The decor is so beautiful and even though the seating is small inside it appears big--plenty of seating outside with beautiful gold and black chairs. I ordered the filet mignon steak with shrimp. It was very tasty with lots of flavor. The steak was tender and well-seasoned. I ordered the incredible lobster pops. And also the sushi. Service was superb. I am so happy I tried BLVD Steak in Calabasas. I've been to the Sherman Oaks location and this one by far is my fav one! The food was Sooooooo amazing like whattt???? For my entrée I order free range chicken and mashed potatoes. Boy oh boy everything was just really good and came out at a decent time. Though the food is quite on the expensive side, I think that it is worth it because it's very good quality. For my drink, I had a lemon drop and espresso martini and when I say that it was so much flavor and alcohol in it, I was good for the entire night. Their dreams are definitely epic and I highly recommend you try at least one cocktail on the menu. The food and drinks were definitely a 5/5 for me. Now I wanna start with the service, our waitress Alexis was definitely phenomenal. She was very attentive with the amazing personality and good spirit. She knew the menu very well and recommended all good things from Drinks, sides, entrée, and appetizers. Everything that we ordered was very top-notch and very delicious . She made us feel welcome and we came for our celebration until she did not forget, and we celebrated with a butter cream cake with strawberries. So from the ambience!! is very beautiful. A quick escape to Hollywood, and along the way stopping again for a delicious Brunch here at BLVD. Meeting up with several friends, we were on on our best behavior and got to share pretty much the entire Brunch menu. Bloody Mary's and Martini's all around, with a Spritz or two for good measure. The Host and Servers took very good care of us, and made sure the food and drinks kept coming. The inside dining room was very comfortable and accommodating for our fairly large group. I came to The Blvd for Valentine's Day with a reservation. They seated us promptly, which was nice especially since they were very busy for the holiday. Once seated, service at the table was good. Our waiter was attentive, and the food came out quickly. We ordered the tuna tartare to start, and it was underwhelming. It was mostly fruit with very little tuna, so I would not order that again. For the price point, it was not worth it given how little tuna was actually in the dish. For our mains, we had the burger and the steak frites. Both were good but nothing memorable, especially for the premium pricing. The lime corn was fresh and flavorful and ended up being one of the better dishes. For dessert, we had the butter cake, which is something I order at every restaurant that offers it, and theirs was very good. It was definitely the highlight of the meal for me. We sat outside, so our view was mainly of the street and nothing special, but the restaurant itself has a nice vibe and lively atmosphere. Overall, the experience was just okay. Valentine's Day Nightmare & unnecessary price gouging. I'll start by saying my husband and I eat at this restaurant at least twice a month. I normally DO NOT eat out for ANY holiday because service is terrible, food is inconsistent and overpriced and it's just way too crowded. And yesterday I was annoyed & kicking myself in the butt. If you look at my previous review you will see the price differences for a regular day vs. Valentine's Day. We always order the Same exact meal each time. We never switch our order. When we order we tell the server to put everything in at the same time. We received our appetizers & salad then sat for another 35 min before the server stopped by and asked if we were ready for her to put in our main course. Omg... food took another 20 min to come out! When my crab legs arrived at the table I was insulted. I had 4 very thin crab legs with barely any crab meat. My husband immediately said "are they going to bring you more? " he asked me if I wanted to order something else to eat because he knew it wouldn't fill me up which they normally do but I was over it and ready to leave. Our butter cake was not made to order. It was cold and ice cream was pretty melted like it was sitting in the back. Entire Meal $400 for 2 people. Overall highly disappointed with lack of food quality and service. read more

I recently came here on a Thursday and it was packed. It's a lively atmosphere with people starting their weekend early. The staff was great, we were sat right away at the bar. It's a tight squeeze and definitely cramped but we made it work. Our bartender was super generous and let us sample multiple wines until we found the ones we loved. We kept it simple with food and just order entrees. We wanted Cesar salads with protein but they don't offer the option for that. You have to purchase the Cesar salad on its own and then either the salmon entree or the chicken entree which makes a single salad come out to about $68 which is insanely overpriced. The entrees also only come a la carte so $48 for salmon and $44 for chicken is insane. I opted out of the salad and got the burger and fries. The food is good but it is not worth the price. I'm giving 4 stars because the service was great and the atmosphere truly does make it a place worth coming back to. Loved the decor/ambiance! Kind of how I thought it would be. Very lively, as one would expect on a Friday it's kind of loud in there. So, if you're not into that, this might not be the place for you. Though, IDK if it's less loud when it's slower. Even with a reservation, had to wait up to 5-7 minutes. Didn't bother me much but it's something to note if that kind of thing is important to you. Service was great! At the end, though, we weren't getting too much attention from the server but not too bothered by that because I can understand they were busy but would've been good if it was a bit more attentive even though there was just 2 of us and they had a bigger party (I'm assuming). The server and hostesses were snobby as some of these types of places can be--thank goodness--because that's always annoying. The food was surprisingly good I suppose I wasn't expecting much. We had the salmon; the sauce that came with it was yummy! Also ordered a side of crab fried rice. The rice was very flavorful, though, slightly moist rather than the drier texture that usually accompanies fried rice. The crab in the rice wasn't that good so I didn't eat much of that. The BLVD burger was good, but I find it odd that for a $30 burger you have to choose between a side Caesar or fries for an extra $5. So if I get the side salad, it's an extra $5, then if I wanted fries, it's a side for $16. Seems like a ridiculous nickel and dime tactic for a steakhouse burger. I'd probably choose Lucky's Malibu (one of my favorites) over the BLVD for this. Same price, different experience. read more

We decided to try this place for Valentine's Day. While the restaurant was lovely and the food was really yummy, we were shocked by the holiday price gouging that took place. My husband is a picky eater so I reviewed the menu before booking our reservation. Upon arriving to the restaurant, the Valentine's Day menu prices were significantly more expensive. Like $10-20 more expensive per dish than on the typical menu. Even the small loaf of pretzel bread was $1 more! That's some crook a$$ business. Once we found out they're so comfortable taking advantage of people it's confirmed we'll never be back. On top of that, multiple of the hosts were dressed unprofessionally. I'm no prude but a corset or lace bralette are not appropriate when someone is being asked to pay $72 for steak frites. read more

I was really excited to try this new local restaurant, and I truly wanted to love it. The space is beautiful and the service was genuinely great, from the hostess to the servers, everyone was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the pretzel bread with butter and the wagyu meatball. The pretzel bread was surprisingly disappointing I'm not sure how bread can go so wrong, but it lacked flavor and just fell flat. The wagyu meatball came in a sauce that was honestly one of the most unpleasant flavors I've ever tried. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which wasn't tossed in dressing and came with soggy croutons. For mains, we had the mashed potatoes and the New York strip steak. The mashed potatoes tasted overwhelmingly of heavy cream and were very salty. The New York strip was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but there were huge chunks of salt on top that completely ruined the bite. At that point, we decided to skip dessert, we were originally planning to order it, but after every single dish missed the mark, it didn't seem worth it. Overall, beautiful restaurant and great service, but the quality of the food just did not match the experience or the vibe. The appetizers were amazing, best butter and bread I've ever had, the service was great but the steaks were just okay. I asked for a medium rare NY steak that came out with a cool red center (rare). The $198 48oz tomahawk steak barely fed two people and the creamed spinach had an odd taste to it. Would maybe go again to give it a second chance. I came back two weeks ago for the 2nd time after the soft opening night last month etc.. I didn't want to comment or write anything on the first night until I gave it another try. To me, I can't judge any business on the first day of opening. The restaurant needs a little time to settle and get things running perfectly. I wasn't impressed with BLVD steak at the Studio location but this location was a different experience. The steak tasted better, as well as the sides. My first time at BLVD steak in Studio City was not good. This 2nd time at this location made up for the other time. The service was great and the drinks were fantastic. Fun atmosphere, just what is needed for this area. Now I can say BLVD steak -Calabasas is on my top four steakhouses in the valley. read more

BLVD Steak was such a wonderful experience and great addition to the valley! The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous and gives such a classy, timeless vibe. The hosts are so friendly and make sure each guest feels welcomed through their warm personalities. Our server did such a wonderful job going through the menu with us and answering any questions we had. We ordered the steak frites and a NY steak which was plenty of food for 2 people. They actually ran out of regular fries when we went and it ended up being the best thing ever because we got to try their waffle fries, which are 100000/10! They are perfectly crispy and seasoned so well. Do not pass up on their pretzel bread too! The spread they serve alongside their bread is bursting with chipotle flavor and is so addicting. We went there for the first time and honestly there was a Great ambiance, great food, and wonderful service! Can't wait to go back again!

Had the French dip for lunch. It was pretty good. Service at the bar was friendly. Might go back if in the area
