Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. My daughter's hair completely fell before the pageant even started. I was shocked when I saw her walk out on stage--the curls were practically gone, and her hair looked frizzy and unpolished, almost as if she had just rolled out of bed. We had scheduled her hair and makeup touch-up for 1:30 p.m., and she was on stage by 2:00 p.m.--the style barely held up for 30 minutes. Considering the significant time, effort, and money we invested in preparing for this pageant, this was a huge letdown. I booked Andrea for the entire weekend, and when I brought up my concerns on Saturday, she suggested we leave the pins in longer before going on stage--which left me wondering why that wasn't done in the first place. While I appreciated the adjustment the next day, it didn't change the fact that the most important day was a total disappointment. If you need hair and makeup that actually lasts, I would not recommend booking here. I rarely leave reviews, but it's incredibly frustrating when a business doesn't deliver the quality you paid for and ignores your concerns when you reach out. I hope Andrea makes this right. Update: Andrea offered a 50% refund for my daughter's hair, but only on the condition that I remove my review, not because she took full accountability for how her work impacted my daughter's chances of placing as a finalist at Miss Texas Teen. Due to her lack of communication when I first messaged her about my concerns with the hair, I hadn't even had a chance to address the makeup until later. It wasn't until we picked my daughter up on the final day of the pageant that I realized how cakey and uneven the makeup was, patchy in some areas, completely gone in others. I sent Andrea photos (which I will not post publicly because my daughter is a minor), and her response was that my daughter never mentioned any issues. Well, my daughter is a teenager who knows very little about hair and makeup, and she didn't say anything at the time because we aren't the type to complain. That said, I would expect a professional to recognize and correct those issues without needing to be told. I paid $840 for poor-quality hair and makeup and a frustrating overall experience. Don't waste your money--lesson learned!
