    Indoor decor!
    Coco G.

We chose to come here yesterday on Easter morning because it was both close and open at 8 a.m. We noticed the nice enclosed patio but chose to be inside the restaurant because of the wind chill factor. We were welcomed in and told we could choose where to sit, so we opted for the higher tables by the windows. Beautiful decor inside with a whimsical Frida Kahlo mural on the far wall, and a couple of her quotes by the kitchen counter. An elegant simple menu for breakfast and lunch. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My husband chose the blushing omelette and a double cortado (they only had espresso drinks not regular coffee) and I chose the avocado toast which comes with a layer of scrambled eggs, and a fresh ginger tea. The drinks arrived in 5 minutes. My fresh ginger tea was a ginger root sliced thinly lengthwise in hot water with honey on the side. Love that! I can do that at home the next time I buy ginger (I usually only use a little bit for a recipe and then have to eventually compost my ginger when it's been in the fridge too long). Our entrees arrived shortly afterward. Beautiful plating and oh my goodness! So delicious! I added black pepper to my eggs which were well seasoned and a tiny bit of salt to my avocado. Enjoyed the thick crust of the brown bread and ate with fork and knife. Super satisfying meal! In Amsterdam, they don't bring your check until you ask for it. Tipping is thoughtful, 10-15% at restaurants. Highly recommend! If we lived here, we'd come here regularly!

There are two restaurants on this block owned by the same person, they have a similar vibe. The decor here is beautiful, with lots of glass and lovely things to look at. I had a goat cheese salad which was so delicious, I ate every last bite. My husband had a croque madame, which he loved as well. The service was really friendly too. I'd definitely come back.

Located in the museum district. Great, quick stop before going to any of the museums. The place is super cute. Wait staff was friendly. Food came out quickly I started with a chai tea latte. It wasn't too sweet. Good chai flavor. For my meal, I had the breakfast wrap. It was a combination of salmon, omelette, cream cheese, capers and arugula. They weren't skimpy on the smoked salmon. It's like a lox bagel, but in a wheat tortilla. Great for on the go. They do open early, which helps when you have early tickets to Van Gogh.

Excellent food, attentive service and lovely ambiance. I had the Blushing omelette and my daughter had the Benedict. Both were delish and the gluten free bread was excellent! Highly recommend for brunch.

Service was great, cute decor, expensive even for NY standard. Alas, it is one of a few options on the museum row. The food is tasty good and met expectations. Located directly across from the tram station and Van Gogh museum. If just go for a drinks, however, it's very reasonable. The burger shop next door is affiliated with American steak house style of burgers.

What's a great all-day breakfast/lunch spot in Amsterdam that serves healthy and vegetarian food? You've found the right place - Blushing. Not far from the Van Gogh Museum, Blushing sits right in front of the Museumplein train station, which we took to get here, so if you're coming here by train, it is literally right in front of you. My parents have been to Amsterdam before and suggested this place for lunch, as they've been to Blushing before as well. I'm already becoming hungry as I prepare to write this review, because their food was absolutely amazing! They have a huge outdoor patio, but we chose to sit inside because it was a little chilly and windy outside. I know that we were on vacation, but every now and then, I need to have a little bit of healthy food. My parents ordered their cappuccino and mocha, but I needed a break from drinking coffee for now because we were going to another coffee shop later that day, so I just stuck with a soda. Now, the food, let me tell you. Again, amazing! I ordered their Crazy Tuna Club sandwich, my mom ordered their Cinderella's Pumpkin Pancakes (this is what she had last time they were here), and my dad ordered their Eggs Benedictus Et Spiritus Sancti. My tuna sandwich was so big (at least three layers of bread) that I could only finish one half of it myself. My parents had to help me finish the second half haha. My mom said that her pancakes burst with that amazing pumpkin flavor once she started eating it, and my dad said that his Eggs Benedictus was delicious. The ambiance was welcoming and the service was friendly. I loved this place and I would definitely come back again.

Goat cheese on sourdough and hot chocolate
    Dolores S.

I ordered the goat cheese on sourdough and a hot chocolate with whipped cream (what the heck, I was on vacation). I was expecting crumbles of goat cheese but instead there was a thick slice of mind-blowingly delicious, creamy, flavorful goat cheese--far and away the best I have ever tasted. The bread as was wonderfully typical in Amsterdam was tasty, fresh, and soft with a crispy crust. The hot chocolate was perfect, excellent chocolate and not overly sweet, with fresh whipped cream.

    Such a pretty place!

What a charming place right across the street from The Van Gogh Museum! Art deco decor in soothing pinks and gold. Service was excellent and very friendly! We had the croque monsoir, chicken pesto sandwich and a Cesar Salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal! Can't wait to return.

Sat here for 15 mins no one came to take my order. When I flagged someone down they said kitchen closed 10 Mins ago. Places closes at 6p I was there at 440p. Not my choice. Not the best service.

This may be my new favorite restaurant in the world! The food was delicious and plentiful with some unusual combinations I loved. The decor was warm, colorful and fun (and changed much since photos were last loaded to this site ... I will try to add some current ones of the Frida Kahlo and Van Gogh theme). The staff was cheerful and helpful. We loved it. When one of our party tripped and fell, the staff helped clean and bandage his cuts (he's ok).

We were going to the Van Gogh museum when we stopped by this place. We went in for drinks and a snack. The bathroom had no soap. I ordered the smoothie and banana bread. Smoothie was tasty but a bit small for 7.5€. Banana bread was moist and pretty good. They have other food too but we only came for a snack. Service was nice and that's all I really have to say. Good place to stop by when going to the museums.

Due to my friend Trevor visit he didn't know what to do so I want to go somewhere which make a quick breakfast and could keep me full. So for €25 I was about to have this great deal but I wouldn't call it a giveaway

Which makes me wonder... do faeries claim nationalities? I hope not. There's a minuscule indoor seating area, but come spring and summer - as long as it's not raining - you'll want to move on back to the very leafy and verdant outdoor terrace. If you're lucky, the one table that gives you rain protection but is still technically outdoors will be available. I was lucky. And it did sprinkle while I was there. I can't speak to the food. I only had fresh mint tea, served with honey and a teensy cookie. Let me tell ya... it was the day after Amsterdam's hottest day in recorded history and the entire city was just tuckered out. Feeble even. That's why I asked for ice and made my hot tea into an iced mint tea. Re-freshing! The menu offerings are limited but apparently satisfying judging from my dining companions' happy faces. The two women caring for us were terrific about setting the friendly tone. I'd say about 95% of the people were ordering the apple pie, so of course we had to get one to see what the hype was about. The apple pie is pretty unique, it's basically a big chunk of cooked apple topped with a sweet, crumbly cookie like crust. The flavor reminded me of those little brown biscuits you get as airplane snacks... basically Biscoff cookies. lol!!! Overall, you really taste the natural apple flavor along with that Biscoff like cookie flavor. The pie itself isn't very sweet, which I actually liked, but adding some whipped cream definitely brings up the sweetness and makes it even better.
