This is my first time leaving a review, but I definitely feel it's worth it. Avoid this place unless you want to be treated poorly. I went here today (June 2025) for a nail appointment, both hands and feet. It started off good. The woman who did my pedicure actually did a great job (I wish I had gotten her name), and I left that part of the service feeling satisfied. But everything went downhill the moment I sat down for my manicure. The business owner was the one assigned to do my hands. I kindly asked for milky white ballerina-shaped nails, nothing complicated right? She started applying the material, and after two nails, she asked if I liked the shape. I kindly said I'd prefer if we could file them a bit thinner or use less material, as they looked very thick. That's when she suddenly said she "only" does thick nails and refused to continue Yes, she straight-up refused to finish my nails because I asked for a small adjustment. I explained that I wasn't trying to be rude or criticize her work. I simply had a preference. Is it not normal to have an opinion about your own nails? She insisted I would "just come back later to complain," which is completely unfair and untrue. I was being respectful and only wanted to communicate what I liked. Even another customer tried to help explain that I clearly wanted the service, after all, I booked the appointment and came prepared, but the owner still refused to continue. I was honestly shocked. I started feeling extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to clear up what I thought was a misunderstanding. Instead, she completely shut down and wouldn't even speak to me. She made me feel so small and disrespected that I left in tears. In my 15 years of getting my nails done, I've never been treated like this. Ever! And the worst part? She said I should be "satisfied" because she removed the two nails she started and didn't charge me. Like seriously? You think I should be grateful for that? Why would anyone pay for a service that was never completed, especially when the treatment was this unprofessional? "Cheap" prices are not worth this kind of experience. The service was awful, the attitude even worse, and the work wasn't that impressive to begin with. I've been to many better places with the same prices, and I will absolutely go back to them instead of wasting time at this unprofessional, disrespectful salon. Do yourself a favor and skip this place! read more

This isn't just a one stop nail salon, they also do hair for men and women. I've been going to the same barber for 10 years and she does a wonderful job. My barber, Mai, does my men haircut for $12 and it looks amazing all the time. She finishes my haircuts with some hand scissoring to make sure they're even and looks nice. I always give her a generous tip because of her amazing work. She also does perms, hair coloring, curling, hair wash and other stuff for women as well. She only does appointment only and no walk-ins because her schedule may be jam pack due to the holidays or special occasions. Parking will be hard to find so look for street parking and just walk a block or two. read more

Kim did my nails, she did a fill for $20 that was including a clear gel topcoat! she was very fast (under 20 minutes) and very efficient. super nice people that will offer you a really cold water and on summer days it's really needed. I couldn't believe this place was right by my house and I never been here. under 20 minutes I got the best fill that I've gotten in San Diego for the price! This was an amazing experience for a first time visit. My only complaint would be the prices online are slightly lower then in store but I didn't completely mind with the great job they did. I have a huge sensitive scar on one foot from an accident & rarely can get that foot done other then paint when they saw it they worked with me to ensure I got the whole experience we paid for without being in pain. When I asked if they could do a nine traditional design they worked to ensure not only they could do it but that I was happy. Definitely going back. read more

I can't say enough good things about this salon. They do an excellent mani/pedi here and my husband's haircut by Carolyn always looks amazing! For $9 men's haircut WOW, she's the real gem here. You walk in and immediately notice how glamorous this place looks despite the neighborhood it is in. You're then offered a glass of wine or water and then just sit back and enjoy a great experience. The prices are a tad bit pricer than other shops in the area but you seriously get what you pay for! ($17 for a spa pedi is still awesome IMO). This place is super clean, had that modern glam feel, and the service was wonderful all around. This will be my go to salon! read more

This place is great, I came late on a Tuesday they were about to close, I know right how rude of me, but they still took me I did my toes and my eyebrow wax great service. I usually do t trust anyone with my eyebrows because something always goes wrong but I needed a clean up and I'm treating myself for my bday anyways, Karolyn was awesome she did what I asked for a clean up only! My husband and I moved to El Cerrito (from Mission Hills) 3 years ago. I haven't been able to find a reliable, quality nail place since relocating. That's changed with Blush. I had a great shellac mani/pedi experience...with complimentary wine. I can only say the ladies that work their remind me of my aunties. I never felt insecure or judged (as I do with some nail salons). Everyone was personable and spoke English well. I'm a mom of a young toddler so getting out of the house can be tough. While there I decided to blowout my hair so I wouldn't have to worry about it the rest of the day. Super quick with an awesome look. Can I say the cost for these services (including tip) were less than a basic mani/pedi at my old neighborhood? I REALLLY wanted to give this place 5 stars, however my gel manicure didn't go as smooth as my spa pedicure. I was greeted right away by a woman in the front. (I didn't get her name) She was very courteous and polite. The inside of the salon was very clean, airy and modern. For being on El Cajon Blvd., it's definitely nicer than other salons in the area. The prices are pretty comparable to other locations ($22 gel mani / $21-$35 spa pedi's). I was seated right away in a spa chair to start my pedicure. They offer a free beverage of choice (water, wine, juice, etc.) I was given 2 polish books to choose my color. Their polish selection was decent. My pedicure was done by Mimi. Mimi was very sweet and she took her time on my pedicure. I absolutely would get another pedicure from her. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable and she had great conversation. Because of my experience with Mimi, is why I still decided to give this location 3 stars. If I were to leave after the pedicure, this review would have been 5 stars! I asked Mimi if I could get a gel mani and she said yes, of course. I believe the manicurist name was Yvonne. She started to clean and shape my nails. She was very nice, no doubt about that, but my nails just didn't come out as I expected. I asked to get white nails with gold ombré glitter. I showed her a photo on my phone and she said she could do it. She did ask me if the gold that she chose was okay as it was fine with me. When she started with the white polish, I noticed some spots were unevenly coated and she said she was gonna cover it with the gold, fine. Once the white was done, she started on the gold and I'm not sure if it was due to the polish consistency but my left hand (she started with left hand) is done so crappy. However, my right hand looks great. I asked her to fix the gold because it wasn't exactly ombre'd. It looked too straight like the gold was thrown on. She used her finger to try to smudge it but that didn't work... She did ask me again if it was okay but at that point, I was ready to go and wanted to get it over with. Overall, I paid $67 for my gel nails and gel toes. For the services I received, I wish she would have redone the gold color on my left hand. Because I had a great pedicure from Mimi, I don't want to give a horrible review. Would I try this place again, maybe. I would probably decline any type of design or try another manicurist. read more

Right when I walked in I was greeted by a gentleman (I didn't get his name) but he was so sweet, Yvonne did my nails and she was so sweet and just did a great job, we made small talk but she was very friendly. Holly did my gel pedicure she was great! Every employee you meet there is a charm! Karolyn although she made sure I was treated like a princess she checked up on me way often which I really liked and one thing that made this place stand out is that everyone there will talk to you by your name! Great services overall but the service is what really puts the cherry on top! My nails were $33 dollars, and I honestly don't like them because she rushed through shaping the acrylic, and so my nails under the nail polish are unevenly balanced. I would not pay $33 dollars for this. The lady who did my nails raised her voice at me when she was the one who got me the wrong colors for my nails so she walked back and forth. I came here on a Monday and showed Charlie what I wanted he told me he knew the right person for the job but she works on Friday I have been looking for a place close to me that was able to do this. So I decided to make an appointment on Friday with Yvonne at 530 however I was able to get the day off so I called to get in sooner they were able to get me in at 230 which made my day since my week has not been all that great. Yvonne showed me an example to make sure it was what I wanted and it was spot on. They offer you a complimentary glass of wine but let me tell you most places complimentary is a sample this place really appreciates its guests and gives a real complimentary sample. Everyone in the shop is so nice and accommodating they have a good dynamic with laughter and positivity it's really a fun place. This was my second time at this salon. Both times the shaping of my nails was done too fast. The edges were rough and underneath my nails needed to be cleaned. I didn't notice until after leaving the salon and my nails snagged my clothes. I had. Manicure and pedicure two people switched off doing my pedicure (?) so it took a total of three people to do an okay job. They were distracted and in a hurry to help the next person instead of concentrating on helping the person in front of them.
