I have tried over and over to get my nails done here. Mostly cause it's close to my house and they don't always get it wrong. Today I came in for ombré nails. Showed several people what it was I wanted. Was assured it could be done. I once again stated I wanted it like the picture. What I got was not it. My tech kept attempting to fix it but this still isn't what I wanted. I had already been there for quite some time, and was honestly aggravated and irritated and ready to go. I just recently moved here and have been looking for a new nail place. I walked in and was almost immediately sat in a pedicure chair and was offered a drink. The man that did my toes seemed to be in a rush and my polish is uneven some places it's thicker some places thin and less than a week later the polish was already chipping! After he was done they had no drying station so I just stayed in the chair but the lady who I assume was either the owner or manger seemed like she was also in a rush for me to get out of there! The nail techs are awful and the prices are ridiculous. The owner is very rude to her workers and only cares about money and being a trophy wife to her crazy husband. Been going for a few years. Recently service is getting worse and worse. Wait 1/2 to hour with an appointment. Had to replace the water in my pedicure tub because I waited and waited, the water got cold. They stopped to turn off the water but never bothered to get someone to take care of me. The front desk staff needs training or replacement. I watched the person walk in circles while on phone and 15 people waiting. She did not clean any tubs to get ready for clients. Stopped twice to shop nail techs what was on her phone. I left a note for the owner to call me after waiting 30 minutes after my appointment time and left. It has been over a week and nothing. Usually a great place. Walked into total chaos, one day and two people fighting over the rotation. I got a manicure and pedicure and they were supposed to be gel. My pedicure looks great but Nina did a horrible job on my nails because within two days the ends tips started chipping off. I called and reported it and they scheduled me an appointment for the next day. However, I got sick with a virus so wasn't able to go within their acceptable timeframe to get them redone so they told me I had to re-pay for a shitty job. It's a great place normally & the owner is great. I've never seen so much chaos in there especially with her there. If you see anybody I would recommend Tun and she has the picture of the hello Kitty next to her nail station. They each have a Disney or some type of character so you know who they are. I will not go back because I spent $143 for a crap job and an experience that's usually relaxing being full of chaos. I tried to talk to them about me being sick. I heard a lot of great things about this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure which are never really my favorite. They're either too rough or too ticklish or I leave with the same rough areas I went in with. None of that was the case with Blush Nails and spa. I had the hot stone massage pedicure and it was hands down the best one I've ever had. The pedicure was great and got rid of my problem areas on my feet. The massage with the hot stones was seriously amazing. The wine kept getting filled in my glass. I will say I left very happy. I went out of my way to tell the woman in charge how happy I was with their services and she was so very nice. She sat and talked with me while my toe nail polish was drying. The service has always been great. When the person I had an appointment with was out, I always got a call to let me know so I could reschedule. This morning, after confirming my appointment earlier this week for today, I get there and there is a sign on the door stating "sorry for the inconvenience, we are closed until Monday, November 30". I never received a phone call or a text message to let me know the salon was going to be closed today. I drive 20+miles to the salon, thinking I'll be done at a decent time, I can run some errands, only to get there and be greeted by a sign. Where is the courtesy of letting clients know you decided not to open until November 30th so we didn't waste a trip and gas unnecessarily and could've rescheduled? Obviously we clients don't matter to you or you would've called, texted or posted something on The Blush Nails and Spa Facebook page letting your clients know you would be closed ALL of Thanksgiving weekend, not just Thanksgiving day and the day after. read more

I just moved here less than a month ago from DC. I went to LaVie nails&spa in Columbia for my first SC nail experience. They were HORRIBLE, they left water between my nail and the acrylic for a fill. I got a regular fill and gel polish and paid 40$ and the nails broke less than 12 hours. Horrible customer service. **So I did more research and found BLUSH!!!! My saving grace! I called and spoke with Michelle, I told her my horror story. She was absolutely wonderful and caring. I got in quickly for an appointment, a new fresh full set, pedi and eyebrow wax. Lisa was my technician she was so sweet and precise! She kept checking to make sure she was doing everything the way I wished. By far the best experience since I've moved here. I recently moved to Lexington and have been searching far a great nail salon. I stumbled across Blush on Google. I was really impressed when I walked in...granted it was a Saturday and a holiday weekend and super busy, I decided to wait...an hour...My overall service was great, both my mani and pedi were done perfectly. My only issue was the way they clean the pedi tubs, they quickly sprayed some sort of disinfectant and used the same towel as the person's feet were on who just got up. Maybe it was just because it was so crazy busy, but if they can get that in check I'm def interested in having them become my new favorite spot! read more

My sister and I really wanted to try this place out because we heard good things. We came around noon on a Friday and they wouldn't give me a specific wait time. (bad sign haha) but we chose to wait because it was my sister's bday. So heads up, make an appointment. I got pushed back at least 4 times because of appointments. It is super busy in this place and the advice given to me is go on M-Thurs or make an appointment. Service was still nice, beverages were offered (mamosa, oj, wine, etc) My sister got the pedi... she said signature is NOT worth it because they only do all the special lotions/scrubs for a few seconds each. She also got a nail tech that was not into doing her nails. She was rushed and did a sloppy job. I don't know her name... I was just waiting on someone to do a full nail set. I got a very patient and kind person named Kelly. She did a great job and did exactly as I asked her. You can tell she's done this a lot as her attention to detail was spot on. So I guess I was lucky in getting who I got. The shop is also nice and the front desk guy was very kind and had great customer service. I guess my review from a moment ago got lost so here it is again: I came in a couple of weeks ago and got a full ombré almond shaped gel set. The lady who was working with me put a few nails on crooked. I mentioned it to her and her response was, "we're not as young as we used to be, honey. They are not crooked, you have arthritis!" I was shocked at her response. Not only were they put on crooked but some of them are shaped crooked. I have never in my life been so unsatisfied with the way my nails have turned out. I would NOT recommend coming here. It is extremely poorly run. I came to get a dip manicure and one of my nails chipped a couple days later. I came in today to get my ONE NAIL fixed and the owner said it would be "about 15 minutes." 70...yes 70 minutes later someone finally fixed it and it took 4 minutes. While I was waiting for 70 minutes for someone to fix it, I saw a couple nail technicians without clients. I asked people who worked there if one of the free nail technicians could fix it. They all said the same thing: "the owner is the one who makes that decision and she is on her lunch break." Not one person who worked there was able to simply get a nail technician available to fix my single nail in over an hour. They all felt they had to wait for the owner to return from lunch. While I was there, I talked to others who had been waiting for long periods of time. The individual who finally fixed my nail acknowledged that Blush is poorly run and said "a lot of people have been frustrated lately." STAY AWAY from Blush unless you want to wait half the day to get nails that end up looking mediocre anyway. Horrible customer service. It was definitely not worth the wait and I will not be going back. read more

My daughter (15) came here to get her nails done prior to a photo shoot. Her nails were absolutely horrible!! Were crooked, way too short and curved upwards. When she showed them to me we went back in and the lady stated yes they needed to be corrected. Said the manager was "out to lunch and would be leaving soon". Asked if we could come back the next day to get a new full set at no charge. She went back the next day and they did not give her a full set. My daughter was told "I don't know who told you that yesterday but they were wrong!" They merely just attempted to file them to make them less crooked and ultimately making them even shorter (almost the length of her natural nails). My daughter was in tears. I tried three separate times to call and talk to the manager yesterday but she was never available. They took my name and number and said "the manager would contact me ASAP". Over 24 hours later and still have not received a call back. Would definitely not recommend them at all due to their lack of customer service. I had a "not so favorable" experience here about 2 years ago. After my visit today I truly believe it was that particular person. Today, I used a gift card I had from Christmas. Luckily I made an apt for opening on Monday AM cause man it was packed. I had Brandi and she was great! Best finished product of a mani and pedi I've ever had! I LOVED my treatment at Blush. Right when I walked in the door I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome. They also took the time to help me decide on my color... Which I rarely get asked when I go to a nail salon. On top of the great service the place was very clean. The technician that worked on my nails was very tentative to my needs and i felt like she cared about making sure I was treated well. I am giving this place 4 stars only because my 3 year olds pedicure was only $5 less than mine and def not the same as mine. Will not be returning. Nail tech very rushed. She acted offended when I asked where they kept the sterilization equipment. My acrylics were as thick as a nickle. By time she finished, I just wanted to leave rather than deal with some excuse for poor service. The atmosphere was very modern and fun. The receptionist who greeted me was pleasant and offered to get me a drink of my choice. I am obviously one of the few not impressed.
