Skylar was so kind and helpful when setting me up for an appointment with Quinn, who has done my hair before. I got super lucky to snag some time with Quinn! The shop is so cute and such a warm and welcoming space. Everything feels clean and well taken care of. I also truly feel safe at Hair Hero to be myself without judgment. Skylar washed my hair while Quinn finished up on another client and I'll be very honest I wish I could hire her to wash my hair every day. She was gentle and thorough and it was wonderful! For myself, I booked the hour and a half that's 165 and for my sister I booked the same thing with the jelly mask which is 185. For the prices, I expected a lot more. I understand that it's a scalp treatment, but I feel like most places like this also massage your shoulders your neck, your arms and go a little more above in the service. I talked to someone who I learned provided these treatments after I went, and she agreed. A big part of it is the relaxation and de-stressing. This was to the point of just my scalp so much that it started to hurt like when someone scratches the same place for too long. My sister had even said the same thing to me before I mentioned it, that it just started to hurt at one point for her too. Also, as far as a blowout goes, mine was okay and my sisters had no bounce. So in total, this was around 370 then at the end when they flipped the iPad over the first tip option was 22% and it went to 30%. I always tip 20% wherever I go whether it's a hair appointment or a restaurant, but to me, it felt a little odd to offer the first tip option as 22%. Especially with how I thought the experience went. I tipped 20% and we went on our day but definitely wouldn't be an experience I would come back for which makes me really sad. Not sure if it was maybe an off day but I feel like there was a little to no effort for both of us and it was weird to me how the expected tip was above 20% for what they did. I would recommend going to a place like a dry bar instead to get your hair washed and probably a nicer blowout, it was basically a service like that but just a lot more expensive. Don't think this is the normal head spa experience.

I agreed because I trusted her professional judgment and wanted to look like a Victoria Secret Model and thought I'd leave with a soft, beautiful, effortless look. Unfortunately, the front layers ended up short, extremely thick and stick out noticeably, especially when I put my hair in a ponytail. They don't blend into the rest of my hair, and I've spent ever since struggling to style them. I trusted her recommendation, and unfortunately I left feeling very unhappy with my hair. I expected to feel beautiful walking out of the salon, and instead I've been trying to hide these tentacles. Thanks for offering to remedy the issue but my hair will take 16-18 months to recover from the damage before it's Victoria Secret Ready.
