Honest Review ‼ - Important for Clients with Curly / Textured Hair…read more For context, I have 3A curly hair with medium density. I gave this salon multiple chances over several months because I genuinely wanted to build a long-term relationship with a place I could trust with my hair and future color services--especially one that uses high-quality products. Unfortunately, the experience became a consistent pattern of disappointment. At one point the salon lost their original curly hair specialist, whom I had been seeing every 2-3 months while following all recommendations and purchasing the products they suggested. My appointment was simply canceled and I was never contacted to reschedule. I only discovered this when I called to confirm an upcoming appointment I had booked for my birthday. Suddenly there was "no availability." Only after escalating the situation and speaking with management were they able to find an opening. When the salon later hired a new curly hair specialist, I booked an appointment to begin services again. It quickly became clear she did not have strong experience working with curly hair. The appointment felt rushed, my curls were not properly defined, and although I paid for my hair to be diffused, it was barely diffused before I was rushed out so the stylist could move on to her next client. I actually left the salon with partially wet hair after paying for a full drying service, leaving my curls without definition or volume. The glaze/color also left noticeable staining along my hairline and onto my forehead that was not fully removed before I left. A photo taken immediately after leaving the salon shows both the unfinished styling and the color staining along my hairline. Because the stylist was running behind and rushing through the service, I accidentally left my Bounce Curl defining brush at the salon. When I returned to pick it up, my interaction with the salon manager, Deena, was honestly surprising. I stood waiting at the front desk while several employees were behind the counter, yet no one greeted or acknowledged me. Eventually another employee who was sweeping asked if I had been helped. When I explained I was there to pick up my brush, Deena told the staff--within earshot of me--"If you can't find it, just give her a house brush." She repeated it twice without addressing me directly as if to rush me out of the salon. I was there to retrieve my property, not to receive a random salon brush. When I respectfully clarified this, she simply ignored me. I expected more professionalism from the salon manager. Fortunately, another employee eventually located the brush and kindly returned it to me. However, the final straw came when I attempted to move forward with the color service I had originally been working toward. After researching the stylists at the salon, I found that Summer specializes in the exact type of lightening work I hoped to achieve. I specifically requested an appointment with her. To make things even easier, I even booked a blowout service so my hair could be styled straight--eliminating any concerns about working with my curls. Despite doing the research, requesting the stylist who specializes in the color service I wanted, and even agreeing to have my hair blown out, I was still redirected back to the curly hair specialist who had no experience listed for the type of color work I was requesting. At that point it became difficult not to feel like I was simply being redirected rather than properly accommodated. For me personally, hair is sacred. Allowing someone to work on it requires trust. Unfortunately, my overall experience left me feeling like my hair type was something the salon simply did not want to deal with. After months of patience, time, and money invested, I ultimately decided to walk away. I'm sharing this so others--especially clients with curly or textured hair--can make an informed decision.

Well, I made sure I would get their 15 minutes early just to be sure I get a call from Organic salon 15 minutes before my appointment stating that I will have to wait about 1/2 hour after my appointment time because the worker got busy on someone else. I have other responsibility like 96 year old mother who's expecting me to come right after my hair appointment. I tried to make another date with Organic and the only thing they had available was with another worker in a week and a half , who charges more than the lady that was originally assigned to me. I said goodbye fo them.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Leidy for the absolutely amazing job she did with my hair!…read moreFrom the moment I walked into the salon, I felt so welcome and comfortable she has such a kind and professional energy that instantly puts you at ease. I came in with an idea in my head, and she brought it to life perfectly. It's not always easy to explain what you envision, but she understood exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to make it happen. I couldn't be happier with the results -- I genuinely loved it! She's incredibly talented, attentive to detail, and truly the best. I'm so grateful for her help and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who really listens and delivers with care and creativity!

Two extremely upsetting experiences back-to-back have led me to share my experience…read more On Friday, January 16, I went in for a bob haircut. I brought reference photos and had a detailed consultation. I was very clear that I did not want a super short bob and specifically asked the stylist to be careful, as a previous haircut elsewhere had been cut too short and I wanted to avoid that again. I also confirmed at the time of booking that the stylist had experience cutting bobs. Unfortunately, I left the salon with a haircut that was much shorter than discussed, the right side was shorter than the left side, the cut was uneven, and poorly finished. It was my birthday and I had dinner plans with my family, and there was absolutely no way I could attend looking the way I left the salon. I was extremely distressed and contacted the salon immediately. I spoke with the manager Jessie, and we agreed that I would return the following day to have it fixed. Once I got home and washed and styled my hair myself, the issues became even more obvious -- the cut was inconsistent, uneven around the perimeter, and had stray pieces sticking out. On Saturday, I returned expecting the cut to be lightly texturized to reduce excess volume in the back and correct the unevenness -- not to be redesigned. Instead, the attempted "fix" by Jessie completely changed the style of my haircut. Hair was cut from the top of my head, altering the structure entirely and creating a visible gap/"hole" where I part my hair, something that did not exist after my appointment on Friday. The result is no longer a bob and looks nothing like what I originally requested. I am now left with a haircut reminiscent of the late 1990s/early 2000s, which is not my style at all. No refund was offered, nor did I ask for one at the time. I did not fully realize how severe the damage was until I got in my car and truly saw how much the style had been altered. At that point, I was once again in tears. Please refer to the photos to fully understand the outcome. I am now having to contact my former hairstylist in Coral Gables -- miles away -- to assess the damage and create a plan to fix it. At this point, I honestly don't know what to do. My hair is very important to me, and this look is not only terrible, but it is also not a style I would ever choose for myself. I am frustrated beyond belief. This is not an easy fix -- time will be my only real solution as my hair grows out. Unfortunately, the back was cut extremely short and will likely take 5-6 months to grow enough to match the rest of my hair. This has been truly upsetting. I chose Black Sheep Salon because I recently moved to the area and, based on reviews, it appeared comparable to the salon I trusted back home. I gave the salon an opportunity to make things right, but the second visit made the situation significantly worse. I would strongly caution anyone seeking a precise haircut -- especially a bob -- to proceed with extreme care.
