I have to be honest. I tend not to shop at many women's boutiques because I never feel the clothes are inclusive. I'm not a 5 foot tall size 0 looking for a $200 crop top, which is almost always what the inventory feels like. I nearly passed out when I came across sweaters and tunics that were sized to fit real people and ended up purchasing a flattering geometric knit sweater with a cute hood that I can't wait to wear (if it ever becomes fall). I love that the clothes here are real. They have a lovely selection of jewelry, homewares, cards, small gifts and other stationary that were unique and simply darling. It was too tempting to buy 1000 things for myself. I will absolutely return here the next time I need a gift for someone! But don't get me wrong, I did purchase an amethyst chunk bracelet I have zero regrets about. :) As I was checking out, I met the owner, who was lovely. I also really appreciated that while I was shopping, no one followed me around asking me if I liked XYZ. That's a pushy sales technique that just leaves me not wanting to return, and I'm so happy they don't do that. Love!

I came to Cleveland without a jacket and for some reason Google told me that the store closed at 7pm, so at 6:45pm (45 minutes after the store closed), I banged on the glass, and I was greeted with a smile and welcomed inside. The boutique is incredible! I wish we had one like it in Baltimore because I would be there all of the time. They have adorable clothes-- from leggings to dresses to jackets and sweaters. And the price point on a lot of the clothes make them affordable which is awesome. In some stores, you pick up a jacket and pay $400+, but here, you can get adorable jackets for 1/4 of that! Stop by here (before 6pm)-- you won't be sorry!

After that she saw an item I had posted on Facebook and requested a wholesale order be custom made to her specifications. Upon receipt she gave positive reviews: months later after not receiving payment, I reached out. She mentioned that they had not sold well and I politely reminded her that these items were made to her specifications and that their selling is her sole responsibility, like any other wholesale account. I paid out materials and labors for manufacturing what is essentially her design, and she has yet to pay. She stopped responding months ago - I have screen shots of the entire exchange. Haven is sort of off the main drag from the rest of Chagrin Falls and the store is set back a little next to a bank (I believe). Its evident they've handpicked all their items to be displayed, and the owners have clearly crafted a vision for their store. When I visited, all the clothing in the store was very tiny. As a tall person, this made it difficult for me to find anything long enough. I get the fitted look, but fitted doesn't always work when you're tall. They did have some beautiful printed dresses but only had them in small sizes. Maybe I just caught them on a weird day... who knows. I hear they do personal styling, which some of my friends have done and been very happy with. While I couldn't leave with anything, its overall still a nice shop to come peruse some beautiful items.

Thread carries several Ohio clothing designers as well as more high-end national designers. While I didn't focus heavily on the clothing, I was able to find the cutest set of travel cosmetic cases that were different sizes and all folded into each other. Each one had a noun like "wanderlust" or "nomad" with a dictionary-style definition. It was reasonably priced and they gift wrapped it beautifully! While checking out, they also offered to sign me up for their free rewards program. If you fancy yourself a boutique shopper or enjoy their clothing/jewelry selection its definitely worth signing up for. Overall, I think Thread is a nice addition to the shopping in Pinecrest!
