It wasn't easy for me to look in the mirror one day and noticed all the fine lines and damage I did to my skin from so many years of indoor bed tanning to just not keeping up with a solid skincare regimen. On top of that, being past my mid thirties now, I needed some damage control pronto. Reached out to Nancy for an initial consultation. Once I had the consultation, it was amazing how much I learned in such a short appointment. It was actually pretty comical when Nancy pointed out how expressive I was (these lines all over my face is definitely from too much over-the-top laughing versus a RBF fo sho). Nancy is not only knowledgeable, but also sensitively impeccable with her craft when it comes to injections. She kept me looking fresh, still my natural self with the hint of youthful glow I needed. Finally my face matched my personality again. I had a few appointments with Nancy for a good amount of time before I got pregnant with my second child. My father has the exact same wrinkles, and I knew they would get deep quickly. How a woman regards the changes in her body as she ages is a very personal process. Some of us do everything they can to fight it, others age with pride. Personally, I just wanted to be able to continue going out without makeup on and still feel confident in my own naked skin. I do not operate under the impression that I can (or should) do everything in my power to hold onto my youth... But I do want to retain that confidence that comes with feeling fresh faced. So my journey into the world of Medspa's was with the hope that I can do some minor preventative care. So on my first visit I had a consult with Cindi. She asked what and where my concerns were. She then explained what my options were and thoroughly detailed how all of the different products work. I chose a product, she talked me through the entire process, and I went home bee stung but excited. A few days later, the results kicked in and any misgivings or prejudice I once had about injectibles disappeared right along with my forehead lines. I turned 34 this past weekend and, with Cindi's help, those forehead and between the brow wrinkles are yet to make any additional progress as wrinkles. My greatest weapon has largely been Dysport. Every 6-8 months I make an appointment to see Cindi, Dysport up, and confidently go back out into the world. Over the past 4 years I've also partaken in a few lovely Hydrafacials and a Dermaplaning appointment with Jacqueline. Cindi and I have experimented with lip fillers and a botox lip flip. My metabolism is such that the lip fillers don't seem to last very long (a few months at best) but it's a huge confidence boost when I do go for that splurge and am able to rock the full voluptuous pout that I always want. I'm going for such a splurge again tomorrow, and am looking forward to it. I suspect the next appointment after this one will be ahead of my wedding later this Fall. I was guided into a private room, offered refreshments, and Kellie proceeded to ask a detailed history and what my goals are for my skin. This information is important in order to tailor the services to my specific needs. I felt she really took the time to understand my history, and asked questions when things were unclear. I got the sense that she really was there to support me on this journey. I hopped up on massage table, and she put nice cushions under my legs to help support my back and make me more comfortable (I have back issues, so she was quick with a solution that worked for both of us). Music was playing in the background to support the healing energy of the room. She explained what she was doing and why, which was helpful for my logical and curious mind, throughout the services. I have received services such as Radio Frequency, Skin Tightening (I mean, I'm in my 40s now and your girl needs some help as collagen production is reducing. Lol). I have achieved noticeable results of my skin being brighter, tighter, plump, and a noticeable reduction in fine lines. Kellie is VERY knowledgeable in her field, and it is evident in the way she answers questions, even ones I didn't know I needed to ask. She will explain what products are recommended to support your skin in between sessions, and even write them down if you are like me and forget things like that as soon as you walk out the door. I think it's also important to note, that while Kellie offers many amazing services, I learned that it is up to us as individuals to do our part at home as explained to maximize the intended outcome.
