Terrible place that charges you an additional 18% service charge on top of the 18% tip and fails to inform you of this charge beforehand. Food was also alright and prices deviated from their daytime menu by an additional $3-5. Expect to pay around $20 for a regular hamburger. Bill can easily add up to over $200 if you're not careful which is way more expensive than other places in the area that arguably provide better service and food for a fraction of the price. Def will not be coming back next time and will tell others to avoid this place like the plague. Don't come here if you want to get scammed. read more

This place a no no! First things first the guy who "greeted" us wasn't even wearing a mask, and secondly we were refused entry because we had a service dog with us (small dog) and he asked for paper works! And by law you are not allowed to ask for papers and you can only ask what the dog is trained to perform per the ADA as I have attached screenshots from the ADA website! Anyways I'm very disappointed that I was refused entry due to having a service animal! And I will not return! I don't understand how it's possible for them to walk around and greet people without a mask and jeopardize people's life's and not allow a service dog in!! read more

The previous blufig was a horrible place, but it's completely a different lounge now. Totally different environment. Outstanding customer service, friendly people, great hookah, delicious food and most importantly it's clean ! You can't even imagine how much it's changed. 100% recommended. So far the best hookah place in our area. read more

This hookah lounge is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Hookah is super clean , which is very important to me. There is no aftertaste of old flavors, which means hookah is thoroughly cleaned. The place itself is very clean and has a cool design. Also their food is pretty good, my favorite is fresh salmon sandwich. read more

Our first time there and had a good time. The service was excellent. Summer was so sweet and attentive. We were a group of 8 women. The 4 instead of 5 stars is for the 18% service charge that shows on the menu that per management goes towards expenses instead of tip. read more

This place is an absolute gem. The staff, the owner, the environment is flawless. Their tobacco is wonderful, I highly suggest the ROR brand, it's the best. 2 starts for the ambiance and service food is okay but menu items names are wrong like like beef shawarma it's not shawarma is actually gyros also I want to only get one red pull with my 2 drinks they said no I have to get two red pulls lol the third thing they charge party of two or more so basically if you're not going alone u will pay 18% that's not the only thing when u decide to get the check the bring you there pod card reader having the total right way and asking for another 18%+ tip on top of the 18% they charged you already not even showing you what you paid for tell after you pay and ask for receipt so if you didn't know they already charge you 18% they will charge you 36%+ tip over rated place and money hunger read more

Paid a visit after 5 years and I HIGHLY recommend trying them out. With the new ownership takeover, there has been many improvements: expanded space, better seating, chill vibe between in-door and outdoor, music on point, lighting to go with it, great hookah and food menu. The owner Susan greeted herself making sure we're enjoying our time, asking about our pineapple head hookah quality etc... always nice seeing the owner of the business involved, overseeing the operation ensuring things are running smoothly for everyone. read more

Never been to a hookah lounge this cool. Hidden gem for sure. Would have never found this place if it wasn't for yelp. Came late on a Saturday evening. Really disappointed in my experience here. When I got there the lounge was probably 10 percent packed. There were so many open tables yet we weren't allowed to be seated inside because they tables were "reserved ". There was only one section inside that they were allowing ppl to sit and you had to be seated with ppl you didn't know with very MINIMAL room. It was really strange due to them not being busy at all. I saw several ppl get up and leave without ordering because they were so uncomfortable within their seating. No one ever came for their "reserved table " for the hour and half I was there and the lounge never got busy so I'm not sure why they were restricting ppl from being seated properly. The waitress that waited on us brought only one part of the order out and completely forgot about the other order until we later reminded her. Kinda weird. The vibes with the employees there just seemed really off. The hookah was good though and I probably would have came back if the service was decent but there are so many hookah lounges in OC that are able to meet my needs so I'll pass on this lounge. I hope they are a little bit more accommodating in the future with customers when it comes to properly seating ppl, and a be a bit kinder with service. Just some feedback to consider. read more

18% Service charge, that does NOT GO TO THE SERVER. It goes 100% to the owner, wich was confirmed by two servers independently. More arbitrary rules in place that are all geared to scam more money from the customer. Never again. Don't get scammed and stay away. read more

Def love this place been there a few times always a great vibe with the music. The waiters are super nice specially raylene she makes you feel at home and is always ready to serve def recommend her if you go. The food I can tell you hands down is never a let down. Go check it out some of these reviews are ridiculous about how bad it is I always say don't knock a place out just because of someone's review go and find out for yourself trust me this hookah lounge won't disappoint. read more

This is my favorite hooka spot, not to mention the food as well. They just have the entire package from atmosphere, to music to clean hooka and great food. This is a hidden treasure in Lake Forest that must be discovered and talked about. Kudos for the owners of being there for their business and make things happen day after day and giving this business the attention that every successful business needs. If you ever go there, please try the marinated steak salad, it is to die for plus don't forget to order desert after and do t forget the hooka. read more

Came on a whim after work one day because we were reminiscing about hookahing in the past. It's in a small complex with a handful of businesses. There are two sides: the restaurant/cafe and hookah side. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, everything was spectacular! Environment, food, experience, dessert and service! We happened to come during HH (see pics for time and menu) and it cost us $20 for the hookah with a apple head, a large panini AND gelato!!! We got the Fig house mix for the seesh w/ an apple head as the bowl the seesh sits in, chix Caesar panini and got to sample all the gelato but my favs were PISTACHIO! Double choc and the espresso one! They were playing 90s music and it totally took us back to out middle/high school days! Everyone was soooo nice but one person stuck out and her name is Tala. Oh Miss. Tala, You are SOOOOO wonderful inside and out! BluFig is SO lucky to have you! read more

This place is legit! So beautiful and clean and customer service is on point. I called Christmas Eve and we came close to closing but they are accommodating and communicated well so that we could make it for quickie session I love the decor and feel and hookahs are delicious and reasonably priced. This my third visit. the previous two visits were definitely 5 stars on the service and the product, food, hookah, and drinks. The waiter(server) was talking, loud enough, where my wife and I can clearly hear, to what seemed to be a regular customer regarding another employee that no longer worked for the restaurant. The waiter was using foul language " we fired his ****ss" My wife was offended, I tried to brush it off but thought that was not professional. The same water served us the food and later the hookah but never came back to check on us or get additional charcoal for the hookah. although it was early Sunday afternoon and the place was not crowded at all. We stayed for good 2 hours, the server was there, but never bothered to check on us or send a colleague to check on us. With the exception of the daughter of the owner, the staff seem to be new. The previous staff was more of middle astern descants and were very courteous and attentive. Bit disappointed in the cockiness vibe of our (server) waiter. read more

The food and hookah are good but it falls short when it comes to their customer service and prices. It's extremely expensive to do hookah there because they charge a service fee which at all other hookah bar's I've never encountered. The service fee and tip included can range from 28%-43% of the total bill. It seems like a bit of a scam to me to be charging so much money. Not only that but the service is just alright, friendly staff but they had forgotten about my food order. read more

I've been a few times now and hands down this place is my go to hookah joint in Orange County. The service has always been phenomenal here. The staff and owners are equally attentive and personable with their customers. Arya is great! He is funny and attentive. He's great at conversing with the customers but also being attentive to other customers at the same time. What makes this place stand out compared to other hookah bars in Orange County is their quality and non-hookah bar feel. They not only serve hookah, but also Mediterranean/Italian food, gelato, coffee, and tea. Their iced green tea is so good! One of the owners recommended and my friend and I have been hooked since. My other friend once ordered a cappuccino and she said it was okay. They can work on a better brand coffee. The music here is excellent. They also switch it up; they play hip hop, Arabic, Persian. Everything. I highly recommend this place. You're guaranteed to have a great time and get high quality products and service. read more

My friend and I searched for a gelato place after dinner at the Towne Center. We stumbled upon this place down the street. The plaza is quiet and most of the stores were closed, but we decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. We had excellent service. To make it even better, the gelato was top notch! It is richer than most places. There are only a few selection of flavors, which makes it not overwhelming - all delicious. I also tried their baklava - yum! Prices are market standard, but you get generous portions - at least for gelato! The overall atmosphere is hip and relaxing. Good place to hang out with a few friends on a late night! read more

Horrible service, servers very rude and charged a lot extra. When making the reservation I asked for a table of 7 and she said minimum charge has to be $249, but then 2 people didn't come and I let her know but she still charged us the same thing even tho the place was literally empty and she had so much attitude when tried asking about the details. Def felt like a scam, will not go back again. read more

Amazing place with amazing service. Also the music and food were amazing definitely recommend...

I have been to BluFig a few times. I have one major complaint. The price point is really high compared to any other place. I just found out that the 18% service charge goes to the house and not the staff providing the service. This is very frustrating as you are already paying a higher price, then tack on an additional 18% to the profit margin and then tip another 15-20%. We were a party of 3. We ordered 3 sandwiches and three hookah and 1 tea pot. Our bill was nearly $300 before the tip to the server. Unless they fix their service charge, we will not be going back. It's too bad because the food is ok, the hookah is good and service is fine. read more

My first time at a hookah lounge and I loved it here at BluFig!! My friends come here often, so we stopped by to study for finals and the staff are VERY friendly and imformative. I order one regular hookah and charged me for $47 . If you are not aware they charged you more.

I heard about a hookah lounge nearby opening up and wanted to check it out. Wasn't pleased with how things were running. Couple things to note: 1) Hookahs tasted burnt and harsh within 15 minutes. And we had someone to blow it out, but it didn't make it better. 2) Hookahs are also a little bit more pricey than the usual local hookah lounge, the "extra" parts of it aren't all that. 2) Coals took too long to come through. 4) Some of the servers seemed to pick favorites upon checking up on customers so they wouldn't come around as often. Nothing too special about this place. read more

So hookah was $32 in the menu which is already expensive. After we were done we were told it he price has gone up and now they will charge us $40! Not mentioning the 18% service charge. This place is a complete ripoff. And that's why it was extremely slow when we went there. Never again. read more

I have been coming to this lounge for years. I have never received such horrible service. We spent an hour and a half here and they check on us once. It took almost 20 minutes for the server to even come take our order. The male and female servers were bother wearing their masks on their chins the entire time we were there. Its too bad because their hookahs are pretty good. It seems they only focus on certain people rather than all customers. One customer spent 5 to 10 minutes waiting to pay due to the server being inattentive. Steer clear of this place. Olive Branch in San Juan is much better. **Response Yes we are among other people smoking, but they are not intermingling with each other as the servers are. The service was also terrible so please do not use that as an excuse. Your servers had their friend bring us out our things, people who are not employed there. Or if they are then they are not doing your business any justice. Rather than antagonize me, please look at the service your servers provide. Thank you. read more

Like I said before, that's a problem for your staff talk to them about not taking off the foil. You can't get mad at the customer when they order something a certain way and your employees do it. The fact that you don't see the irony in this is ridiculous. Wow you guys try to keep it classy? This place literally smells like sewage! read more
