I really wanted to like this place, but there are some pretty frustrating policies the owner has put in place that do not make it customer friendly and are quite frankly unethical and immoral. We had a group of 6 people, but 2 more MIGHT join us later if they got off work in time. We were told we had to choose if we were going to be a party of 8 because there is a minimum of $35/person. (Ummm weird but ok) The food was good, but not cheap. The hookahs were also good, but again, not cheap. Then comes the bill. There is an 18% service fee, and then they still ask you for gratuity because THE SERVICE FEE DOES NOT GO TO THE SERVERS, it goes to the "business". I honestly felt bad for the servers, I mean imagine how often they don't get tipped bc of the owner's greed. When we asked the owner we were told it is legal and we should 'google it'. I get it, you're a business and you need to make money, but just charge more for the items on the menu. Be up front, so people know what they are paying. Don't surprise your customers with an additional 18% fee at the end. And worse don't take money out of your employee's pockets by tricking people with this so-called 'SERVICE FEE.' It's a really cool place. The first thing I noticed is that it smelled amazing. It was a bit smokey inside, but it smelled great. Just a mix of fruity smells. Not long after I joined my group of friends our server showed up and got my order. I got an iced tea and a small double chocolate gelato. A couple minutes after he left he reappeared and gave me my tea and gelato. Super fast service. The gelato was delicious, super chocolatey, it was chocolate gelato with lots of little crushed chocolate chips mixed in. Terrible place that charges you an additional 18% service charge on top of the 18% tip and fails to inform you of this charge beforehand. Food was also alright and prices deviated from their daytime menu by an additional $3-5. Expect to pay around $20 for a regular hamburger. Bill can easily add up to over $200 if you're not careful which is way more expensive than other places in the area that arguably provide better service and food for a fraction of the price.
