Great place to practice. Grass range with a good chipping area. Enjoy the great and positive community. I think the course gets knocked for the greens but it's as good or better than any executive course I've played. read more

Overpriced. Unfriendly staff. Horrendous conditions. I've been fortunate enough to be playing golf around the valley for the last 6 years, almost every single weekend. During that time, I've been to this course about 40-50 times. I've used the driving range and played the nine hole course. The last time I went (3 weeks ago) will be the last time I ever spend my hard earned money there. Overpriced- it's $35 to play nine holes with a broken cart. Half of the greens don't even have full grass coverage. A handful of times I've had my golf cart's battery die before I can even finish. Unfriendly staff- Most of the time I go, I can't tee off on the nine hole course before Jim barrels out of the club house and asks me when I plan to tee off. I've heard every excuse from "it's too hot outside to stay open past 4pm" to "you don't need to hit any practice chips before you tee off. Just hit a few after you guys finish the 9." I've never seen another business owner actively discourage people spending money at their business as much as I've seen Jim do this. Horrendous conditions- if you've been to this course in the last 12 months, I probably don't need to say anything more to you... The greens are made up of dirt on half of the holes and the matts you're supposed to tee of from (when you play from the blacks) are older than the river that flows behind the course. If you play a lot of golf like I do, you know how good it feels to not play the same handful of courses every weekend. That is why I kept returning to play here. I also thought that maybe it was so expensive because they needed money to get the course on the right track again... but after years of seeing the conditions get worse, I'm puzzled as to why it's so expensive. After some reflection, I've realized that, because of the owner's sentiment, I no longer wish to participate in funding this mess of an organization. It pains me to write this, because I love this game, but this is just plain robbery and I hope to save somebody from this experience. read more

I discovered this golf course after signing up for some lessons through the city of Clovis and after few lessons I decided to play the course. This is a 9-hole course and you really only need a few irons and a putter to play here. Which makes it great for practicing your short game and getting a game with friends. This course does get busy, so I would recommend booking your tee time a few days early. There's no clubhouse here, just a small office that has canned beers, snacks, tees, and other golfer needs. This course is small enough to walk so they offer both push golf carts and traditional motorized golf carts. They even have electric golf scooters which look very fun to drive. This course is fun play, but the grounds here have seen better days. If you hit your ball anywhere, but the fairway or the green you're hitting mud or compacted dirt. If this course was closer, I'd most likely play it more often. read more

Wow-- very surprised!! -- at how overpriced this place is. Definitely not worth what they are charging for the quality that you get. Maybe I have been spoiled by very well-maintained golf amenities in the valley (when one compares value vs. price paid). The range balls that are used are very outdated and very worn out. 15 bucks for such an underwhelming and aesthetically lacking 9-hole course that this venue offers, would be more acceptable. On the bright side, the venue does not have mats for the range--still on natural surface. And the staff is super friendly. There is a satisfactory area for chipping practice. read more

This golf course has seen better days and while the fairways and greens could use some TLC. The owner is putting in a lot of effort to improve things. Let's show our support by leaving positive reviews. Sometimes they might close early but that's because the owner still has expenses to cover even when profits are low. Instead of focusing on our own preferences, let's appreciate every opportunity we can play somewhere. read more

I love Bluff Pointe Golf Course! I'm a beginner at golf, and my experiences are overall great. On Sundays, the driving range can get pretty packed, and there's usually a wait for the course. That's probably every single golf course on Sundays. There's no tee times, so it's always walk-ins. There are pros and cons to this because it's nice to go play golf on a whim. On the other hand, it's stressful when I know there's a line building up, especially if you're playing in a large group of 6. So, I feel a lot of pressure to play the course quickly which affects my game. Sometimes, I come during the mornings on weekdays just to use the driving range. It's super peaceful and fun. I'll get a few gentlemen trying to help me with my swing, and everyone is genuinely nice. There doesn't seem to be any bad vibes or ill intent behind the help. Overall, I feel welcome and safe playing here. Tip: Avoid wearing white shoes if you can. There are a lot of areas where the grass is flooded with water for hole 1-5 and dirt near holes 6-9. read more

Owner is a great dude very friendly but course is rough , greens are bumpy and horrible, hole 8 has no tee box , all tee boxes besides maybe 2 are just weeds. And there's really no fairways the whole course . Overall course needs a lot a lot of work not worth the $35 with the cart for 9 holes in my opinion. Maybe $15-20 but that's just my opinion read more

Fun 9 hole. They have golf carts and the staff was extremely friendly. First time their and can't wait to go back. read more

Played on 2/9/25, the greens are in rough shape, with little grass. The course has been cleaned up from years past, but some work needs to be put into the greens for sure. Looks like they are trying to cater to weddings with the cross at 9, but they'd better get some green grass if they want that business. read more

Friendly and nice clean range range balls are ok Busy in the mornings Jim and Julian are great instructors read more

Cool place just tucked away from town, along the river. It's a little older but facilities are in good shape, fun to play or practice, with friendly & pleasant staff. No feelings of pressure here for newcomers to the game of golf. Very laid back and comfortable vibe for someone who's wanting to take themselves from a driving range setting to actually playing a round. They do have a range, area for chipping, and putting too. Also, VERY, VERY affordable compared to average fees at most courses. Worth a visit!!!! Tee it Up @ The Bluff Point. read more

They close early due to not enough business. It says they close at 7pm online but the last couple Friday's I've gone they been closed before 5pm. Just save the trip and go to Valley or Hank Swanks. Prices for the 9 hole are outrageous as well. read more

Went here with my dad and had a great time! Friendly staff and it was nice to play on a 9 hole course with par 4s as well. Lots of changes around since years ago, you can tell a lot of love and work has gone into this course. read more

First time playing this Nice little golf course. Two holes are under water so the Gal said to play any two holes over or play two balls. Used an on line coupon for a free small bucket of balls. Range was wide but the length went out to about 250 yards. It had water buckets for club cleaning. I enjoyed playing here as I wasn't pushed by players and the price was good. read more

Islewood is a family owned mini golf course driving range. When I say mini, I literally mean mini. They have a 5 hole golf course with two par 4's and three par 3's. It does play a little challenging and you'll get a chance to use all of your clubs including your driver. The first hole is 400+ yards. Unfortunately, the greens are anything but greens. you'll find patches of exposed dirt on some hole. On the fourth hole, you can't even tell the greens apart from the fairway. But for $5 a round or $10 and play the course all day. You can't really complain. Speaking of price, everything here is cheap. There is also a driving range here but you won't find any mats there. You'll be hitting off grass. And don't let that good hit fool you, you're hitting to hard as rock dirt that will cause your ball to roll a good 50-75 yards. That 170 yard 8 iron you just hit would probably be 120 yards on the golf course. They also have a mini 9 hole course. the only club you'll be using is your 60 degree wedge or pitching wedge. It's designed for you to practice your pitching and chipping. One thing to be on the look out for is wildlife. During the dog days of summer, you'll see rabbits (lots of them) lying on their bellies in the shade wondering what the hell are these morons with iron clubs are doing. It's 110 degrees out. I think I caught one of them smirking at me when I miss the green by about 10 yards left. Cunning bastards I tell you. read more

Best 9 hole in town, the staff/owners are amazing and so welcoming. Course is well kept, nice golf carts at a great price. Perfect place to spend a few hours and enjoy the game read more

Not a bad course for the price. 9 jokes for $13 isn't too outrageous. I like it because there's not a lot of people that are there and I can take my time since I'm a beginner golfer. The driving range is excellent. The grass is well maintained and the distances are easily visible. read more

Buy a bucket of balls get a bucket of balls got me here today and I would say it was worth it. I did not use the golf course itself so this review will be mainly the driving range and the place as a whole. This is a very small place right in the river bed of the San Juaquin river. The parking lot has a decent amount of stalls, the club house is very small with a little office were you do all your transactions. The staff was very nice and the price for a bucket of balls was average. The driving range is where this place really lacks. It is quite small with a max range just over 250 yards which for me works, but for you big hitters won't do. The place is nothing special and I wouldn't go out of my way to drive here, but with that said it was a nice quiet day of hitting a few golf balls. read more

FORE! I haven't played here in years. It's still the same place I've been since I was a little kid. I took my little brother here to teach him the basics of golf. He played with his friend a couple of weeks ago and had no prior experience. I wanted to show him and this place is perfect, a great nearby driving range and a place where anyone from novice to average plays here. It's a little run down, the turf maybe dry because the weather here during this time and the summer is HOT! You can really mess up a club if you're not careful. Thanks Gary for ruining my driver. Oh well, the place is awesome, driving by, you'll see the lake, on the left and right side of the driveway. It's also nice that they keep the prices low and they got used clubs for a really cheap price so you can really tear it up. read more

Great little course, at a reasonable price. The driving range and practice areas are well taken care of. Amazing place to hone your skills.

My daughter is playing golf at her middle school and has been playing here since it was Isle Wood when it was a five hole course. Now it's Bluff Point and the course is now nine holes. This is not Pebble Beach or even Hank Swanks. It's a training facility. It's a place to work on every aspect of your game. The buckets for the driving range start at seven bucks and a large is ten. There are chipping greens and two putting greens. Once you've worked everything out there are nine holes to test it out on. If you need some instruction the owner, Jim Perez, is a PGA certified instructor and has done wonders for my thirteen year-olds swing. He offers private and group lessons. In the office they have a few golf accessories, snacks and cold drinks. Marcie has always been awesome with the kids from our school. I'm giving this place five stars because it is great for what it is. It's a training facility where you can improve your game at a reasonable price. It's a place to make your mistakes and correct them without your golf buddies seeing it. It's a place to get in a bucket of balls and a cold one after work before you head home. It's Fresno's best golf training facility. read more

Terrible customer service from the owners wife. She is rude and privileged and I will be happy to take my business elsewhere.

This family owned golf course and driving range is the best practice facility in the valley. The pro often gives free tips on the range . The greens on the course are not special but the course is beautiful. .the River borders the course . They have a beautiful German shepherd in the office that loves kids . Great place great people . Great experience every time. read more

The course is horrid to say the least. Looking for the tee boxes? Make sure to bring a magnifying glass because they're confusing as hell. Fairways? If you're not Tiger Woods you can expect your ball to land atop a nice pile of hard dirt with a hint of rocks. Greens? Yea right! These greens are not manicured making them slower then my 92 year old great aunt Lisa! Save the 15$ and play some wii golf, I swear you'll have more fun. read more

This is a cool spot. My daughters just Began golfing this past summer. Their time Is split between lessons at Fig Garden and practicing here at Bluff Point. Nice people and a good place to chill and play/practice on their game. read more

one of the best ranges around, would be better if they turned the lights on and stayed open longer. The staff are friendly and good about not making you wait and have a great deal for endless buckets in a month. Always hitting off grass and not the mats or dirt without being crowded or waiting. If the river was open for fishing they would probably never get people to leave. 4 of 5 stars . As far as a par 3 coarse I have not played it. read more

This place is a great fit to sharpen the irons up and hit a hybrid for accuracy! A fun course on the total ups from what it was and a true joy to play!!! The range is super nice with all grass spots for that true feel and capability of making proper adjustments to ones own game. I also love it because it dont leave the gunk on the bottom of my sticks from those jive turkey rubber mats. Looking forward to play here for many years. Also on hole #4 if you got the marbles or WILL to hit it from the black tees it's worth the Go!! Think well go back way sooner than later. Remember a bad day at golf is always better than a great day at work. read more

This is great for beginners. The place is older however the price to play is very reasonable. It was my first time golfing and I felt like I was able to take my time to learn and not feel intimidated by other golfers. I didn't see any snacks or food for sale so would be a good idea to take your own. They do sell water. This course may not be up to the standards of serious golfers but if you just want to relax and enjoy the game with nothing serious it's great. The lady who helped us in the front was so sweet and is the reason I will refer others:) read more

First time ever here and was made feel welcome right from the moment I stepped into the cashier area. Jim Perez the owner and his wife Marcy immediately said hello and were so friendly. Upon telling them it was my first time here Jim immediately offered me the use of a golf cart to explore the course. This was quite the surprise so I took him up on his offer to look around. There is a nice mix of short holes with a couple of par 4 holes that can be somewhat of a challenge. The course overall is in decent shape but you can see where they are making improvements throughout the 9 holes. Jim has had this course for nearly two years and is also the golf pro for the course. Another young man by the name of Julian who also works here was very helpful as well. While going to get the XL bucket of balls that I purchased, he noticed that I had grabbed the wrong size. He then went on to get me the XL (which I think did me in. LOL) I think I should have stayed with the (smaller) Large bucket. Anyhow for this small family run course I have to say thank you for making a new Fresno resident feel welcome on your course. Definitely be back to play again soon. (probably for lessons too) read more

$17 was already too much for 9 holes and a cart here...now it's $19. For that price we should get to go around twice. Better off checking deals at other courses and getting a full 18 for a few extra dollars. How this place has any more than 2 stars is beyond me. Horrible greens. Carts are VERY dated and die mid round. Only 1 bunker on the course and even it doesn't have decent sand. Fairways full of weeds & rough spots. "Par 4" holes at barely 200 yards or just over...should've just kept it all Par 3 instead. Bottom line- spend your money elsewhere until this place comes back to planet earth with their prices. read more

Great practice facility for non-country club types. In addition to driving range and putting green, neither of which is kept up very well, there are 5 full length holes in a "U-shape" around the driving range that you can play for just $6 one time or $10 for all day. If you want to work on your swing and don't require pristine greens or bunkers, this is a great stop to make. Hard to find, head north on Milburn avenue just north of Herndon avenue and keep going on to the gravel road when you hit the "End of Road" sign. Down in river bottom. At certain times of the year you can count 100+ rabbits on the 5 hole course. read more

this isn't the top of the line range/course in Fresno. especially if you don't belong at a country club. it is very peaceful and quite. this place is out in the middle of nowhere. its not like riverpark where you hear cars flying by on the freeway. everything is pretty cheap. they have a little 5 hole hourse and a 9 hole chipping course. not sure of the price but pretty reasonable from what i can remember. there aren't really any shades out there so better put some sun block before you head out there! read more

It's actually a great course. I just started playing & everyone has been very helpful in explaining the differences in clubs & letting my friend borrow professional clubs for free. The price is what brought me in. $9 for 9 holes. I didn't like the "fun holes" like 3x the size of a normal hole but then I heard it was only temporary while they grow in the new greens. I guess it kind of helps compensate the choppy greens. Every1 is really friendly tho. read more
