This place is family run and open on Mondays! We made the mistake of visiting Granbury on Monday, when most restaurants and wineries are closed #newbies. We were in luck that Bluff dale is open Mondays. Made the trip worthwhile. We had a tasting of five delicious wines for $10! They ranged from sweet to slightly dr. That price for good wine is pretty hard to beat. Their cheese was a bit overpriced for what you get $8, but the cheese itself is really good. The service and owners were friendly and quick. They had cute decor and a really nice ambience. Their vineyards made for a beautiful setting. Definite must stop if youre in the area! read more

Don't go if you want to enjoy a glass of wine with your girl. you're going to have a 3rd party chewing your ear off. This place shines because of two important ingredients: the views and the wine. There is an amazing patio area with with beautiful view of the countryside. All you need is wine in hand and that can definitely be arranged here. My favorite wine is the Nexus. The Nexus is a sweet red wine that has hints of berry flavors and a lot of depth so not your average sweet red. I took a bottle of this one for the road and definitely have no plans on sharing it. I also loved the Paragon. It's a fruity red wine that tastes of pears and apples but it's not very sweet. It has a fuller finish and is quite smooth. I'll definitely be returning soon for more wine. read more

My husband and I live in Brock Texas and were excited to visit a winery within 35 miles of our home. However when we got to the entrance today, the gate was closed. We arrived at 12:10 pm on Sunday. We saw on the website and other sites that the winery opened at noon on Sunday. We were very disappointed to make the drive and it wasn't open. read more

My mom and I were visiting Fossil Rim and decided to take a drive out to a winery. I'm so glad we picked Bluff Dale! Even though it was a rainy day the view was beautiful. The owner was so kind and he truly makes great wine. We did the tasting and I bought some bottles which I eagerly opened and shared as soon as I got home to Austin. In my eagerness I unfortunately forgot to write down the names before we tore through the bottles. I'm never a fan of sweet wine but one of the bottles was semi sweet and tasted like cotton candy somehow and I loved it. I've never had anything like it! I'll definitely be back at Bluff Dale the next time I'm in this area. If you're not already convinced to make the drive out there, they have an adorable puppy who will play fetch with you during your tasting. Most adorable wine tasting ever! read more

Drove over 2 hours after checking Yelp and their website and calling to be sure they were open on a Sunday at 2:15 pm. Contrary to the voice recording, website, Yelp, and Google which all said "open," they were closed. read more

Each weekend we can sneak away, this is where we go. We take a picnic and enjoy wine either in the tasting room or on their porch. We love the view and the owners. It's also nice to talk to the others visiting the tasting room. We meet a lot of nice people and hear some great stories. read more

Sign up for their newsletter and you'll get monthly updates or so about when they have live acts, special events, etc. This past weekend, we saw a trio that performed covers of oldie goldies. Just three guys, three mics and wine. After 3 hours of entertainment, cheese and crackers and making new friends, we walked away smiling and carrying a case of wine. Bluff Dale Vineyards is a wonderful winery to visit. I recommend visiting when they have live entertainment. I met Theresa, one of the owners there; she is a delight, a breath of fresh air. I sampled a few of their wines. I was impressed with the wines and prices. What's so fun about this place is that it is off the beaten path, fun folks, fun times. This is one of those hidden fun to do things. Great for a date, I highly recommend coming out to this hidden little secret! Big plus for a date event! read more

You may want to call before venturing out to this winery. We drove over 2 hours to get here only to be greeted by an impassable road. Called the winery to see if there was another way in but there is not. They said they were planning to have it fixed soon so might just want to call ahead to make sure. read more

My wife and I were in the Stephenville area for a wedding and found this gem. The atmosphere is rustic and inviting with a wonderful view of the vineyard. But the true treasure lies within. We were greeted warmly by Teresa and started with a tasting. The wines were great and Teresa's stories about each varietal were very interesting. We settled on a bottle of Syrah for our visit and shared a table with 2 of the local residents and it was a great experience just sharing stories and excellent wine! Disappointing--the wine tasting was pricier than other wineries we've been to, and the tastings themselves were very small, barely enough to get a sense of the wine. They had also run out of one of the wines that we would have tasted. We were disappointed that the owner was drinking more than we were during the tasting! In terms of the wine--some were better than others. We liked one of them enough to get a bottle to drink on the porch. A puppy joined us while we drank the wine. That, and the view, was the best part :) read more

Chris, the owner's son, was personable and had a lovely conversation with him regarding the winery, varietals, and Texas wine culture. bluff dale had plenty to choose from and we wound up purchasing quite a few bottles to take home! The price point of the bottles is nice as well, ranging from $10's to $57ish for the reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Will definitely return! read more

My wife and I decided to get out of our area a bit and try some Wine Tasting at Bluff Dale Vineyards. We had a great time. It's a romantic date, and the owners are excellent people. While I'm not a wine expert, I found their wines to be excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Also - after speaking with the owners for a while, I found out they occasionally have live music there - we will certainly be back for that! We were in Granbury in April for our anniversary. We decided to try this out. I was not impressed. We walked in the door. The bar area was full so we sat at a table for two. After 10 minutes of waiting while the owners talked to people at the bar, I walked up to the bar and asked for some assistance. The owners ignored me and another person helped. We got our wine tastings and left. The owners that are supposed to be so friendly never spoke and never acknowledged us. We will not be back. read more
