I solicited quotes from three companies to reline my 80+ year-old sewer line. One never delivered; Second quoted but was near impossible to get questions answered regarding the quote. Drain Guys quoted on the spot, and was extremely responsive regarding follow-up questions. The CIPP liner process is technically complex, and the team experienced some unforeseen complications. However, the skill, positive attitude, and perseverance of every team member when things got tough truly impressed me. The team worked very hard over several days, overcame major obstacles, and ultimately delivered a drain line that will hopefully last another 80 years. Despite the challenges, I never doubted I was in good hands with The Drain Guys and I would absolutely call them again. Special thanks to Adrian, Kevon, Oliver, Johnny, and Jay -- I appreciate you all! Chris

They were able to come out first thing the following morning to take a look at the situation, turned the water valves all the way on, and sent me a detailed quote while they were still there (unfortunately they initially sent it to a wrong number so someone has my personal data :/ ). Pricing was on the higher end of what I expected, and I was planning to get estimates from other companies that responded on Yelp to compare, so I let them know I would be in contact. Later that evening, I went back downstairs and noticed a leak coming from the main water valve, which was not leaking prior to the drain guys' visit. I immediately sent a message with a video via yelp, and the rep responded saying they would contact the plumber and get back to me. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back, which is interesting as they were so quick to respond when I was potentially giving them business, but ghosted me when I held them accountable for causing a leak. Thankfully, a plumber from another company that responded to my yelp project came by and was able to tighten the valve to stop the leaking. Turns out the drain guys plumber had loosened the entire pipe/valve when he turned the knob all the way on, so it was a simple fix but something that they should have looked out for in the moment. Had I waited for the drain guys to come back my basement would have been flooded. I'm utterly disappointed in their lack of accountability and communication, and have no trust in their services if they were able to let me down on such a small matter.

He walked our entire area with us and thoroughly discussed what he would exactly do. His communication was excellent. He truly cares about doing what is right and best for his customers and the environment. We had gotten several estimates from other companies, and the communication with those companies was severely lacking. Kevin's quote was less than half the price and his work also encompassed cleaning and clearing up significantly more area than what we were quoted from the others. While he was working, he stopped several times to confirm he cleared exactly what we had requested. He also mulched up a large pile of cut branches that we were in the process of disposing of, that was not quoted in our estimate. Kevin was very polite, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Our experience working with him highly exceeded our expectations. He went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. We highly recommend him and would absolutely use him again. The final result is awesome and it is great to have our views back.

While he's cleaning up, he identified a sink issue which has nothing to do with the original pipe problem, he took care of that. And then they kept happening, getting larger and spreading throughout the entirety of the house, and we could no longer open the doors in the basement and 1st floor on the south side of the house. Alarmed, I called a civil engineer and had an assessment done. They ascertained our house was sinking, particularly in one corner, and recommended ~30 push piers around the perimeter and up the centerline of the house... for over $100k. I literally laughed at him and asked him who he thought I was that he thought I could afford that. I called a few other places and got questionable assessments, and then I spoke with Yos from DMV. What a breath of fresh air. He was personable and honest. He recommended we get a 3rd party civil engineer to produce a report with drawings that I could use for any foundation company - even if I didn't go with DMV. We (finally, after a loooong delay on the civil engineer's part) got the report and drawings, and Yos and his team began work in early January to install ~10 helical piers on the sinking corner of the house. It was a pretty invasive project, but his team was fantastic. Fast forward 5 months and the cracks have stopped appearing, with a number of them even closing. We are very satisfied with the work DMV did for us, and are particularly pleased with their honesty. Where one company tried to sell us an overkill solution for six figures, Yos was upfront and told us what we really need - to address that affected area and revisit others if they end up being an issue - for roughly a quarter of the other company's price. That sort of honesty and pricing earns a permanent spot in my trusted contractor list.
