My wife and I moved into a 70 year old house on a hill. The previous owners had done quite a bit of…read morework - french drain, waterproofing the basement, 3 sump pumps, steel beam reinforced walls - but we spotted some water along the basement wall. Tim came out to look at that and a bunch of other stuff (future work), and gave us a plan to resolve the immediate issues. On the inside, his guys came out and jackhammered along our foundation, installed a new system to collect and direct any water seeping through the wall to our existing sump pump discharge line, and laid new concrete. They even worked around a bit of a curveball without needing to deviate from the estimate. Outside, they dug a 22-ft trench and installed a french drain to alleviate the hydrostatic pressure on the basement wall, routed our HVAC condensate line into the french drain, installed 2 new window wells which allowed them to grade the yard away from the house, and installed another french drain on the far end of the garden to help mitigate the flash flooding we experience there. They finished up by laying fescue sod over the affected area, making it look nice and clean. All of the work was done in two days, with some minor cleanup work on the 3rd day after the concrete had cured in the basement. The price was good, the guys worked hard, the work was done on time, and the final product was excellent. We will be using them again for our retaining walls, landscaping, and whatever else comes our way.

We had some drainage/waterproofing issues that needed addressed, and when I found out the scope of their skills, we also hired them for a laundry list of things I had on my wish list since moving in a few years ago. These folks did it all for us! For starters, they repaired a brick wall in our front yard, installed a new sump pump drain pipe and exit, re-worked some existing exterior waterproofing that had been done sloppily in the past, and added a new concrete pad and drain by our back door. They even helped us track down an underground gutter leak and replaced the broken pipe. The showpiece job, however, is the stunning stone retaining wall, that they meticulously built by hand, across the back yard along with the new cement parking pad and stamped concrete border tapering it to our existing drive. The pictures don't do it justice (attached is a "before" photo for reference). Everything was done with great care and precision, using high-quality materials. The owner of the company, Deborah, was a gem to work with. She is super-passionate about the environment and the quality of work her company does. We worked with Gerardo and he was also fantastic. He had great ideas and suggestions in terms of practicality and design. He was also flexible with a few adjustments along the way. From the first moment I called them, they sounded annoyed to have to be speaking with me. They…read moreagreed to go to my home and provide an estimate, which they then quoted me $8000 for a problem that did not exist. I got a second opinion, was quoted $200 for a simple fix. I then got a third opinion, because of course one of the two is either incompetent or lying, and the 3rd opinion was $225, for that same exact fix. When I then showed them the estimate from Aqueduct, they scoffed and said it was a company who was trying to rip me off and rob me blind. **BEWARE** Get additional estimates before going with them.
