I felt badly for communicating with him after normal business hours, but he never made me feel like a bother. Scott texted me video recordings of tours for each property (unit, amenities, exterior) that I was considering. I get the sense that this company tries to maintain a long-term relationship with you, beyond helping you find the first property. Our family had already purchased another home out of state (MT) and were moving before the sale of our house in CO. We worked with Ben to make sure everything was left as needed before the move, to avoid issues before the house went on the market. Ben walked us through the process and helped create a "ToDo" list. Because of his hard work and attention to detail, we were able to move out and let Ben do his thing. Ben coordinated and managed (FREE OF CHARGE) an official square footage measurement of the home, (which resulted in finding an additional 55 square feet that lowered the overall price per square foot), Daytime and Golden Hour photos (huge selling point advantage, golden hour photos made the sale!), and brought in an interior design to set up paintings and furniture throughout the home. The house looked so good, I joked about buying it myself haha. I have never worked with a realtor firm that did soooo much, free of charge, to sell a house. The house received 5 offers on the first day listed and we were under contact that evening. The inside of this unit is completely remodeled and just beautiful! It is a very quiet community within these two buildings. I am pretty sensitive to loud noises and you can't hear a thing if the windows are closed. The railroad tracks close to my unit are rarely used and when they are it is a slow transport for moving the locomotive, I rather enjoyed hearing the occasional train. The management company is responsive and helpful but like any good renter, we have to do our part too. We had a window that was broken, fridge with no drawers, and cabinets that had so much water damage. We also had people come to look at our house without any notice whatsoever. No email or flyer on our door. They wouldn't answer my calls either. Deerwoods response was "we thought we let you know". That made us feel like our personal space was invaded and no one cared. Every time I made a maintenance request it took forever for someone to come out and most of the time it wasn't properly fixed. 2 months before we moved out the ceiling caved in with water and soon became moldy. They covered it up and called it good. We had to move out early and STILL PAY RENT!!! We were afraid we'd get sick. Not good living conditions. But they don't care, all they want is your money! The list could go on.. This place never felt like home. Deerwoods management is a waste of your money. Don't rent from them! They threaten you to vacate the property if you don't like it and they accuse you of being accusatory when you bring up concerns about the property Being on the verge of collapse, there are visible craxks, doors are cracked and unlevel, There are visible cracks in the foundation in the laundry room and tenants on the first floor have said that their apartment creaks all night long and it's impossible to have any guests stay the night. There's trash that blows all over the grounds Not only is it not well-maintained it's on the verge of collapse and it's a dangerous building that could hurt people if it does collapse there is an elderly man in 305 that's been pacified for the last five years by the owner and he is completely fed up with the building issues, but he is stuck there and he has no other place to go I lived in this property for two years having vacated on June 4 when I was sick and under a doctors care at UC Health I had 103° fever and it was forced to go to the property and clean it out four days past the date I was supposed to vacate , if I would've waited until I was completely well it would've been June 14 ; that I was no longer under a doctors care and I would've been subjected to late fines and I would've been responsible for the whole month of June's rent so I cut my losses and I left when I did because I was physically unable to fulfill the demands of the lease by cleaning the carpets so they in turn charged me $476 to clean the carpets which they say included the Excel payments For electricity which I already had paid directly to excel plus I left a money order on the counter, and removed my name with xcel but they still charged me xcel til end of June when I was already moved out. They nickle n dime your deposit and basically charged me for electricity payments I already made. THIS IS THEFT!!!! this is a corrupt and shady business.
