I would not give Bluefire Insurance even a half of a star if that was an option. I had a claim with Blue Fire due to their insured rear-ending my car. The did not pay for full amount of damage estimate to the body shop and they did not pay me reimbursement in full for the rental car that I had to pay for up front. The reason I was given was that the body shop took too long to fix my car according to the original estimate Blue Fire created. Therefore, they would not pay for the 3 days rental car that went over the estimated hours. This is only an estimate! They refused to acknowledge that the estimate could be wrong and that repair work could not be specific to their calculations. They short paid the body shop and now body shop wants me to pay the difference. They refused to pay me back for the 3 days of car rental. Also, I was told that could get a rental car similar in size to mine. I rented a small SUV even though my wrecked car was a full size SUV. There was nothing given in writing, even though I requested it from the adjustor. They refused to pay the daily rate I was charged saying that I should have rented a compact car....after the fact. This company has acted in bad faith and I will be reporting them to the insurance commission. Horrible customer service, indifference from all representatives of the company. That is, if you could even get them to return any of the many messages left on voicemail. I should not be out of pocket for any expenses incurred on behalf of their insured. read more

I was in an accident on Dec 15 when one of their clients t-boned me. It took SEVERAL weeks and multiple messages (phone and email) until I finally heard from the adjuster, Michael Jones via email. They accepted liability and agreed to pay for damages. Cool...or so I thought. Now it's taking forever to receive payment in the mail. Turns out he sent it to the wrong address. Didn't even care to verify if it was the correct address. There was a stop payment issued and I was told the check would be reissued. So far NOTHING. I've been without a car since Dec 15 and I have 2 small children. The body shop that is fixing my car said that Bluefire is the worst insurance company that they deal with. Not surprised. Good luck to anyone dealing with this fake insurance company. The "contact us" page conveniently won't let me submit a message (which they recommend doing if you have an issue). I've tried multiple times on multiple platforms, and I receive an error message. Anytime I call I get an operator who will "pass along the message". When I finally received a check from Bluefire. I took it to Caliber Collision where it's being repaired. They laughed at the amount and said they were off $5000. They also said they were hard to get a hold of...I will be reporting them to the Texas dept. of Insurance. read more

Got into an accident out of town, I live with my mom & dad so I don't have any bills connected to my name at my house. It's just how it works. Bluefire asked me for proof of residency but everything I gave them was insufficient bc i didn't have a power bill or house payment in my name. Wouldn't use bank statements, hospital bills, phone bills.. nothing. I got hit by a deer and my car is probably totaled but does blue fire care? Absolutely not. I'm stuck with this vehicle because they scammed me out of 6 months of payment and won't insure me. Can someone tell me why they didn't need any of it making the policy but since I was in an accident after they've gotten months of payment they need some sorts of proof, but the proof you have isn't good enough. What insurance company is not able to provide a rental car?????? They can only reimburse me UP TO $35 a day AFTER I pay for the rental.......why am I paying for this rental? Why am I only receiving less than half of the cost of this rental vehicle? This is by far the worst company to deal with. Customer service is non-existent. They will duck, dodge, ignore, and in my case make things up in order not to honor a claim. Most of the individuals you speak with are rude and condescending, a quick Google search will let you know that is not unique to my experience. They used to give a few day grace period to pay. They stopped extending that, but did not notify anyone. I was one day late and they canceled my policy. In order to reactivate it, they were going to charge me $100 more a month. Talk about kicking someone while they're down. read more

Blue fire insurance is fuckin horrible... One of their customers hit me and they cover only up to 30 dollars a day if you need a rental. We'll guess what?? They don't have contracts with insurance companies so they don't inform the insurance companies so that a customer can get a cheaper rate. Sooo im stuck without a rental, especially considering rental availability and the cheapest rental being 70 dollars a day. This company is a payment service for other insurance companies and their website cannot match acct # to zip code, very basic stuff, so it is impossible to make a payment. They also do not answer the 800 # when you have issues and call...4 different times only to be hung up on after 6-8 rings. I finally resolved my issue by calling my ACTUAL insurance company, Aggressive Insurance, and a sales person took my payment. I only have experience with Blue Fire Ins after being struck by their insured. The process they use to repair damage (pay a claim) is clearly to minimize payout, delay and frustrate. Stall tactics & cheapest possible. They first snail mail a check directly to me for a "quote" based on photos only. This first step took nearly 10 days. (Still not driving my vehicle) I finally receive access to the deposited paper check & drop off truck at body shop. After body shop takes it apart there is a lot more damage as expected. The body shop then submits a "supplement" request... approaching 2 1/2 weeks with no vehicle. Supplement gets approved, but they include 'base' parts and not the same trim my truck already had. Body shop has to submit 2nd 'supplement!' First check issued was for about 1200$, actual damage is just over 6000$! I will be without a vehicle for over a month b/c how long they have taken. Oh, the other 2 'supplement' checks they also snail mail to the body shop. Like wow. Mot even gonna FedEx with tracking #...straight up no tracking united states postal service. CHEAP AF. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST..SCAM..WORST POS COMPANY I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I too wish I could give negative stars. My daughter has this insurance. She's had two claims with them. One about 2.5 years ago and one 6 months ago. On the first one, we called them numerous times. They would not respond and finally sent her a check for $300 for around $5k in damages. She never cashed the check so that claim is still open. Then 6 months ago, a driver totaled her truck and took off. They have done zero to help her get it fixed or replaced. All they have done is taken it somewhere, so it doesn't incur impound cost so she now has to ride the bus and is still paying payments on the truck. What kind of monster company would do this to a person. You call the claims adjuster (Kaitlyn White) and she doesn't respond. They say they call her and get voicemail, but this is a lie. We don't see any missed calls or get voicemail. If you are experiencing this nonsense, I suggest you file a complaint with your state's insurance board. If you are thinking of using Bluefire, DON'T DO IT. If you currently have Bluefire get rid of it ASAP. I wouldn't wish this insurance on my worst enemy. read more
