I have had car insurance from Louis at Lakewood Insurance for about 7 years. Not only is it…read moreaffordable, but he will periodically check around for me to see if he can get a better price for me with another company. That's the best part about having an independent agent, because he works with so many companies. Last year, he suggested I switch to Progressive, which was going to be a bit cheaper, so I did. He also specializes in motorcycle/scooter insurance, and everyone I know with one of those uses him. He's a really nice guy, to boot, and I'll often stop by and just hang out for a little bit and we laugh at LOLcats and stupid jokes. It's like the Lakewood version of Floyd's Barbershop from "The Andy Griffith Show," but he's not creepy like Floyd. He'll let you bring your dog in to visit, too!

About 4 years ago State Farm more than doubled my insurance for no discernible reason. I walked…read moreinto Lakewood Insurance and he took the time to shop my policy around and cut it by around $400 for the same exact coverage. After a couple of years my homeowners came up and he couldn't save me as much because he advised me to get more coverage than I previously had... which was kind of a bitter pill. BUT when the hail storm hit I was very lucky to have such a good policy. They had my property assessed before any of my neighbors and I had ample money with a minimal deductible for a new roof, windows, paint, carport along with miscellaneous damaged items. You can go online and get a price, but being able to walk into someones' office and get advice is worth a lot in my book.

My policies are the best because they come from the best. Coverica. Best in the West. My agent, Taylor Neilson has long since been recognized for exceptional service, and promoted into upper management. Because he puts in the work. He'll shop policies anytime. I am not a high dollar client. If I leave a message on a generic CS line, Taylor still calls me back by COB the same day. He doesn't have to do that, but he does. You can expect the same level of service from all agents of Coverica. When you call, real people want to help, and they ALL are very, very good at what they do. I like that. Picking up the phone and receiving excellent service. Every time, without fail. You can shop online all you want, if you want to be a name on a policy number on a computer, and not a valued customer. At Coverica, the customer matters.
