A long time, anyhow. Selection is fine. Workers are helpful. Value is generally better than the True Value, although you've got to take that with a grain of salt because TV is a whole lot less hassle than this Lowe's. Look, it's a big box store: I don't know what the people who rate it low expect. The parking lot always feels kind of hazardous owing somewhat to its vaguely poor design and a whole lot to the reckless driving of customers. You don't want to leave valuables visible in your car (duh - this is Albuquerque, if the robot police camera trailer didn't tip you off). There aren't as many staffers around as any of us would like (although there are always some, and they're uniformly helpful). They put Christmas stuff up in September (just got back - it's up). And their boards are all from those crazy bent trees one never finds at a real lumberyard. We've had great installs of appliances and terrible ones - what are you gonna do? But they have a whole lot of what you need, at decent prices. And, if you can figure out where it is (or are lucky enough to snag a salesperson right away), you can get in and out pretty quick. They have a decent garden section. I've found everyone working here to be friendlier than the average big-boxer. This Lowe's is fine - it should be rated at least OK.

I came to the Albuquerque Home Depot on Eubank and Luis was the one who I came into contact with. He was thorough about what had occurred and what had happened he explained to me that online sometimes does things differently. I drove 2 1/2 hours which is the nearest Home Depot and instead of turning me away and having me come back on a Monday he resolved my issue with the right color that I wanted. This is the service I expect from Home Depot as a pro member. Thank you very much Luis for hearing me out and understanding that again I did not choose that color because I would not be wasting my time or yours. Way too dark, especially in the summer, which will absorb the heat. When you shop at this Home Depot store and you're in the paint department look for Luis and ask for him by name he'll get you squared away and you'll feel like he was listening as he's doing his job. They lack the ability to make cuts to a specified size. I ordered 90 pieces of 16 gauge 3/4" square tubing at 52" that they charge me over $250 for. There was no consistency in the cuts. That varied 1/2", some less than 52" and some more that 52". Additionally they sold me a thicker material than I wanted. They lack customer service and made no effort to correct my order. They hung up on me. Now I have to recut every piece of metal. I've lost time and money. I will never use them again.

They have had what I wanted most of the time which is impressive as it's so much smaller than Lowes for example. There is always someone there to help me with plumbing, electrical, really anything question I might have, or the location of an item or just some guidance. Daniel is a great help there, he has been great working with me to find things and is very knowledgeable about most questions you might have. When do you get that at the big stores? It's hard to find anyone there when you need help. They are all good to work with. I highly recommend this place.

I went in to find an extension hose for a kitchen faucet my Dad and I were installing in my home. Customer service is non-existent. The sole reason for going there, was previous positive experiences of my Dad's along with our wanting to get some extra TLC from a smaller, local shop. Not only was the guy indifferent, we ended up feeling we didn't know what we were asking for or whether what we needed even existed. We ended up going to Lowe's. We asked someone for help and she knew immediately what we needed, led the way, and handed it right to us. We were in and out in minutes; plus felt so relieved we could complete our project. Not sure about my Dad, but I've not been back their since. We often speak (and actually laugh) about the experience there. So, guess something did come out of it: a good laugh!
