There are two entrances to the falls. I would suggest go to the Branch Road entrance is closer to the falls. The one located near Bray Road is more area for the fishing. A lot of people were walking around with their kids or come go fishing. So it was a nice family area. I realize I am more of a resort pool with a lazy river girly, so I am not in love with the many swarms of gnats but that is me. If you are outdoorsy, this is a nice place to visit. The park offers lots or areas to run and play and a paved trail winding along a creek and though a wooded area that is excellent for walking, jogging or perhaps a great place for a child to learn to ride a bike. The trail also take you near a Children's Garden and a small memorial paying tribute to Lieutenant William H. Rust. The Park is pets friendly and open daily from 8:00am - dark. Amenities include a playground, basketball court, tennis court, baseball diamond and restrooms. There are several picnic tables and grills and also a pavilion available for rent. Overall a very nice peaceful and relaxing space of "Pure Michigan".

It was right in the heart of the area I grew up in Flint, and there were lots of things to do. There was a covered picnic area by the basketball courts. There are also tennis courts and buildings where you can put on a show if you want. You have to bring along your own game of horseshoes! A game of horseshoes? A game of horseshoes! That's right. There are lots of great areas for kids to play and families to unite. I mostly stayed in out of the heat because of my "condition", but I was happy because that's where the food was, including this yummy lemon cake that I ate two slices of. They also have public restrooms, not Port-a-Potties that are well maintained, for a park.

It was closed for renovations and I wasn't able to visit at the time, so I made a point of stopping in while in the area. This seems to be a family friendly museum with a large kids area for them to explore. There's also a large area of Flint's history with logging, automotive, General Motors and cars. Also, I didn't have to pay since I wasn't a Genesee county resident? Otherwise I think it's $12 to get in if you are. The car exhibit is fabulous to look at. It's pretty much General Motors since it was a major Flint employer for many years. Overall I didn't spend more than a half an hour here cruising through the place. I thought there would be more, but there wasn't. I was hoping to have spent at least an hour but couldn't pull it off. No, I didn't read every single sign because not everything here appeals to me, but it is a good spot to learn and expand your horizons at.
