Blue Wave is one of my favorite spots to stop and get some dinner on the beach. The food is always fresh and well portioned. The service was amazing!! My waiter Will was super attentive and actually cared to check in make sure my drink was full and everything I needed I had. I don't usually leave reviews, but last night was great. This little Argentine restaurant has become a must stop when I'm at Hollywood Beach. I had the skirt steak with black beans and rice and it was very solid, but the real star of the show continues to be the empanadas. The beef empanadas really shine as authentic and very flavorful. Stephanie is amazing such a girls girl and made sure we were okay after getting approached by a crackhead! This place is legit. I was worried about some of these restaurants with too high of reviews, but this place is really great. Make sure to not confuse it with At Peru which is right next door. They play soccer games as you eat, if you're into that. Drinks are freshly made and my god fried snapper with side of loaded potatoes is seriously so good. It's good for two meals, can't wait to have it tomorrow for lunch. So far from my experience the only place that's legit on this boardwalk is this place, why not, and Mr Miche. Very nice restaurant to have lunch or dinner on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk. Food: I personally love their crispy fries and the steaks are delicious. Love the grilled provolone cheese but it didn't come with enough bread for two people. Others at my table had the beef empanadas and I was told that they were good but not great. Atmosphere: Super chill open and relaxed. You can go from the beach to the restaurant without worrying about changing out of your swimsuit. Service: Our waitress was excellent. This is an Argentinian restaurant right on the beach. Most of the restaurants on the beach are not that great. So I wasn't expecting anything grand. But, this place was a surprise. The food was great! We ordered a beef and chicken empanadas. Both were excellent! We then split the skirt steak and the Mollejas. Wow! Both were tender, juicy, and flavorful. I was definitely surprised. The quality of food here is great! They also serve Quillmes, the Argentinian beer. The view of course was exceptional. The restaurant is on the broad walk. Stopped here while my teen daughter and I were vacationing, post cruise. $2/30 pineapple coladas(with or without 21+). They were very delicious and tasted fresh! She loved the aesthetic vibes! Tip: Scrape the pineapple down with your straw and mix the pulp in with your drink, it becomes a small meal! yum! It was definitely the star of the show, you can't beat drinking from a pineapple with a view of the beach. Now for the food. Nothing tasted fresh and the flavors were lacking. One person ordered the sausage sandwich. The "chorizo" was dry with a mushy consistency and a weird burnt after taste. There was no other sauce or seasoning in it. I split the surf and turf with my partner. It was more than enough for both and served with "chimichurri" for the steak and butter for the lobster. The butter had a weird sweetness to it and the chimichurri was just oily and flavorless...they claimed to have the best chimichurri sauce so it was even more disappointing. On a positive note, the steak was tender. The last person in our group ordered the snapper and had no complaints other than the fries it came with being bland. Overall, I would recommend this place for a piña colada in a pineapple. Skip the food. read more

You know how you can tell that this is the best restaurant on the Broadwalk (not Boardwalk)? There is nobody handing out menus on the "street" and the place is packed. Everyone seems happy as the Santana music pours out of the restaurant. Why? The food is amazing and the service was too. I recommend that you sit facing the ocean. The views are amazing and the people watching is fun as well. The food here is great. Do not miss the steak empeñada appetizer. I was cutting it into smaller and smaller pieces so that it would last longer. The chimichurri sauce adds a lot of flavor. I could make a Dungey of these. The meat is what you want at an Argentine restaurant. It did not disappoint. I had the blackened snapper which was good, but not wow like the meat. I always am impressed when a server anticipates my needs. I am even more impressed when it is at a beachfront restaurant. Well, Jorge, our server, was there whenever we needed. The VIEWS! We were walking on the boardwalk and happen to stop by here for some steak. We were a big party so I'm grateful they took us in immediately and accommodated us. We ordered 2 meat grills (parrilladas) and 1 seafood grill, they each had 2 sides so we pretty much ordered all the sides they had. It was 10 of us and it was more than enough! The meat was very good and the chicken as well. Only thing I did not like were the sides, they did not have any flavor, we had to switch out the rice and congri, it's completely different from your typical congri, and the mashed potatoes because they did not taste fresh at all. I personally didn't order food. After they could not decipher my drink. I passed on that. The two ladies I was with ordered one a steak and the other the salmon.
