Never heard back. Recently contacted them and was told that they needed a credit card so that they could bill me for repairing the liner. The liner slipping was the result of shoddy work and I should not have to pay for their workmanship. I knew I would have some issues when I saw air bubbles coming out of the liner when they were installing the liner. I reported this and was told to point to the bubbles in the liner to the installers. I would have thought a manager would have come out and looked at the issue.

I did that today and he called me back within three minutes and walked me through the problems I was having as well as advising me to contact the store. I also told them I was scheduled to go out of state on 7/12/25 for an indefinite amount of time. Received written estimate totaling $325 which was due the first day in cash or via Venmo, using my chemicals for these services, and including two one hour service calls. Pool was uncovered first visit on 6/27/25 and determined pool motor needed to be replaced. I declined their estimate to replace motor. I asked if they would just replace the cover and we'd call it quits. Was told it would be additional $225 to replace the cover. A net was used for about 10 minutes to remove a few of the leaves from the bottom and the guys left. I got motor replaced and asked for Lakeside services to be completed. I was notified second visit would take place 7/11/25 but was told estimated time could not be provided. I waited all day and was notified at 4:37 serviceman was on his way, and I told them it was beginning to storm by then. He arrived and called me from in front of my home to let me know he was there but because of storm would have to reschedule. I reminded him I was leaving the state the next day, didn't know when I'd return, so couldn't reschedule and to please refund me $225 since the pool had not been vacuumed or brushed not the water balanced. I was told since I had not rescheduled when Billy was at my home on 6/11/25 during the storm, I was not due any refund, that they had done everything outlined in the proposal, and since then they have failed to return my calls. I would give them less than one star if possible.

In trying to grow his business, he began sending untrained workers to service our pool, one of whom ripped our pool liner (photo attached). His so-called "fix" was a hideous patch that doesn't even come close to matching. When we reasonably asked for a proper liner replacement, he flat-out refused. If he's bonded and insured, he should be willing to utilize that with the intent to remedy my torn pool liner. Things only got worse. We watched one of his employees literally sweep dirt into the center of the pool with a broom instead of vacuuming -- which turned our pool green. Matt promised he would come fix it personally, but despite multiple reminders, he never showed up. On top of that, he swapped out our filters at every visit and then never returned them after we fired him, even after repeated requests.

Because my pool gate is always locked, I asked that they give me a heads up before arriving. On my last cleaning of the season they happened to show up without letting me know. Although I was not at home, my gate was unlocked because lawn care workers were there, so Total Pool and Spa's technician was able to get into my backyard. However, because I was not informed of this appointment, I did not have the blank salt cell outside so that they could put it in for the winter. When I contacted Total Pool and Spa to ask when the tech would be coming out again to change the salt cell, I was told there would be an additional $150 charge for service that could have happened if I had been notified of the day they were going to be at my house. That was my last dealing with Total Pool and Spa! I hired a much more efficient, reliable pool company. I also made sure I let everyone I know with a pool, including neighborhood community pools, to NEVER do business with this company.
