This place is quite the gem. I've been several times, and I've always been so pleased. Our latest…read morevisit was on a Sunday at the end of April as ten of us women celebrate the "End of Winter" each year, and we like to be near the coast and boardwalk even though we're from all parts of New Jersey. Xina is very special and has become our go-to for this annual event. For those who prefer hot entrees, their menu is creative and abundant, and everything is fresh as can be. I saw the salmon marinated in miso and served with black coconut sticky rice entree that looked incredibly enticing, and I heard that it was beyond delicious. For those of us who can't wait to savor their sushi and sashimi offerings, we wait all year for the freshest and the best! A few of us don't order the standard tuna, yellowtail, and salmon... we go for what's less of an American's choice, and this time around we SAVORED (amongst other things) the sweet shrimp (amaebi) which are cold-water northern prawns with a delicate, sweet flavor and creamy texture. Most people don't even know. The extra delight is that the top half/delicate shell and head of each shrimp is lightly deep fried and presented alongside the shrimp - a delicious accompaniment with a bit of umami flavor. Xina is the ruler against which I measure the goodness of every other sushi bar I visit during the year. The Best.

Service is very considerate for my last minute party of 6! While there were no tables available,…read moremanagement allowed us to use an originally reserved table for limited time! My group didn't wait long to eat and didn't eat fast to beat the time to leave. Rather, we enjoyed our dishes! As an Asian Californian, I was skeptical of the bacon, American cheese, and cabbage fried rice but took the challenge. It am impressively full of flavor and crunchiness. While tasting legit Chinese fried rice with American breakfast saltiness! It didn't taste cheese but rather balanced with fried and over easy egg. The small restaurant is great for big parties, yet I recommend reserving in advance! It's nice to see the coast without paying for a fancy expensive restaurant. I would go again with friends, just not myself. I am respect the cultural mix of flavors!

Wifey and I stopped in here for lunch on a hot day in April. We sat at the bar and had a great chat…read morewith the bartender...who was new that day and being trained. We kept it simple for her and ordered a beer and one of their drink specials. We also shared a fried seafood basket with Old Bay fries. The basket was delicious- shrimp were fairly large, the fish was done perfectly, and the fries were well done like we requested. (There was something else in the basket but I don't remember what it was, maybe calamari). You're gonna pay boardwalk prices, but Jimbo's is a great place for a beer and some lunch.

Looking for a new go-to in seaside on the boardwalk. The bartenders were great (Sofia and Charlie,…read moreI think, I'm horrible with names) beer was cold very cold, the draughts were poured perfectly, just enough foam so you could drink more without the "bloat" Sofia worked hard, restocking, but still had time to chat a minute and be engaged. The wings were legit, crispy not overcooked, a few more sauce options would be good and maybe let them drain another minute. The street corn was barely warm, but tasty. The cheesesteak was good, but again, maybe let the oil and grease drain another minute. The manager kind of ruined things, hearing her talk down to the staff within earshot of the customers. I'll return and hopefully it gets better. Overall a good start and the staff makes up for the deficiencies elsewhere.

Wifey and I saw this place yesterday and decided to give them a try. We showed up about 5:40 and…read morewere seated right away. The hostess sat us in the bar area, which was fine, but seemed an odd choice. Our waitress came over for a drink order before I had even picked up the menu. My wife quickly ordered the Ginger Minty Paloma and I had an Old Fashioned. Wifey's drink was amazing and tasted like 14 more. Mine was just ok, but when you drink them fairly regularly there's not much you can do to make them 'different.' We decided to just split our food. We ordered a Wedge Salad - they put a balsamic glaze on it and it was REALLY GOOD. This came very quickly. We split The Rocco Pizza - vodka sauce, cheese and pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. The taste was fine, but neither of us liked the crust and wasn't hot enough. Didn't seem like your normal 'brick oven pizza.' We also split a 'small plate' of linguini and clams. This was just ok as well. The fresh clams were great, but the others were pretty chewy. The whole plate also needed salt. Service was pleasant and fairly quick, but the food was overall just ok. The place itself looked like it would be pretty fun if I was in my 20s. There was a band setting up and I bet the place gets pretty loud.

The food here was actually pretty good- fresh, flavorful, and came out as expected. I ordered the…read morelamb chops with grits and I will say - the grits were the best I've ever had. The crowd was mostly over 60 which is nice since no kids were there but I'm 45 and it wasn't as lively as I would have liked. The bands playing were good too but the atmosphere felt a little flat. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Not my cup of tea for hanging out but I'd go back for dinner.
