Shower water was NEVER hot until after 2pm. Some maintenance requests take hours or days to complete (smoke alarm started chirping last night right outside my door as I was trying to get sleep for finals) If you have a wheelchair and you're thinking of staying here for spring semester - RECONSIDER. Parking lot is never cleared of snow when I need to go to class at 8am, and when it is, there's still at least 1-2 inches left behind - sometimes 3! For a wheelchair user, this is no good. I got stuck a lot just trying to get to my car 100 feet away. Hopefully I will never have to stay here again. read more

My parents are staying here for the summer through a program called "Summer Citizens". Basically it's for retired folks who like easy living and cheap rental properties that look way better than one might think. For $360/week they have their own apartment (student housing) which offers them four beds with huge matching bathrooms in each room. The apartment offers comfortable living and all the amenities one might need. They're also very clean and easy to access and navigate. I'd say the entire apartment is about 1K sq feet and they lucked out by getting a 4th floor with a view of the mountains. They're also just a few steps from the free W&D and since there are three of each, there is rarely a wait. They need to provide everything as if they were really living there but the best part is that Utah State keeps their stuff for the following year at no charge! They have two restaurants onsite, getting your mail is easy and since it's student housing, the entertainment center (pool table, pinball etc.) is easily accessible but the hours are a bit strange. read more

I had a terrible experience living here towards the end when it became university housing. The management is just poor doesn't seem to care. I would live anywhere but here. There are newer buildings in the area and closer to campus that are managed a lot better. read more

Very noisy and rowdy residents and community. Recommended for party students, not for the private-types that actually want to study at night. Too expensive for what you get. The management spent $600 on lottery tickets for everyone, which is a month of my rent. Really?! It took maintenance two months to fix the dishwasher after bugging them twice a week. The laundry rooms are disgusting, and the hallways smell like rotten food. Parking is a disaster (particularly during winter), and will even get worse with the upcoming retail store customers that will take all the parking. I would not recommend Blue Square. read more

Blue Square - University Housing Near Me - Logan, Utah

My experience at Blue Square was mediocre at best. I had issues every semester that I lived at Blue Square and I was there for two and a half years. Although it has gotten slightly better, the stress and unhappiness I suffered because of Blue Square is something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The apartments are beautiful. They are conveniently located near campus and across from the football stadium. The amenities downstairs are useful. However, management is aggravating and the rest of the staff is young and unprofessional. They are terrible at matching tenants with compatible roommates. Requesting maintenance is a joke and they might get around to it months later. The internet is slower than dial-up. The cost of parking is outrageous. The doors to the building are constantly propped open, so the key fobs and security are worthless. Residents are loud and partying constantly. Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding Blue Square. read more

I have lived at Blue Square before it was purchased by USU, the atmosphere after the purchased has changed dramatically. If you wanted to live here because it was off campus this is unfortunate not the place to live. I've never liked dealing with USU and now they own the place where I live, its going to be a rough transition. read more

Not only is it the most expensive apartment complex in the Logan area, but it is also the most dishonest, greedy business I have ever worked with. To begin, don't expect whatever rate they quote you at the beginning to be the rate you will continually get as it is constantly raising. Honestly the worst apartment I have ever stayed in. Management is so dishonest and very unprofessional. They have favorites. They bend the rules for some attendants but then find some random fee to charge others. An example is they knowingly allowed an attendant to heavily smoke in his apartment even though it's against the leasing rules. I confronted them about this and they admitted to knowing and did nothing about it. What really made me upset was Blue Square sends out mass emails to all the residents. However, one of these emails they sent out, they forgot to BCC the residents' emails in that list exposing all the residents emails. This caused massive amounts of spam targeted emails from multiple different sources. My personal information was violated and when confronted about this (like all other confrontations I've had with management) they say they'll take care of it or "thank you for the information", but never do anything about it. They will report you for anything that they can fine you for, but like I said above, if you're one of their favorites they look the other way. There's hidden fees and rules that don't make any sense. They make some things about the apartment appear nice, but for the price they charge, which is 3x the amount of the other apartments, you would think they would at least have somewhere to park, but it's not guaranteed and it's not even in front of the apartment it's self. They also don't have enough parking spaces. There's constant underage drinking and drug use and some of the so-called benefits that they advertise such as 24 hour restaurants, they get rid of without notice yet the pricing rates go up. I'm never staying here again. I am very disappointed in this place and I will never stay here again. read more

Blue Square is an amazing place to live if your going to school in Logan Utah! all of the residents are friendly and nice. There is construction going on right now, that can sometimes be noisy, but it should be done by next semester. it is more expensive then most student living places in Logan, but you get your moneys worth. it has a nice location across from the football stadium, with many bus stops close by. As well as good staff that has been helpful. I would not want to live anywhere else while going to school at usu. I would recommend living at Blue Square. read more

Check out Blue Square!!! You definitely won't be disappointed. These apartments are by far the nicest in Logan. Living here is so convenient, especially if you're a college student. You're right below campus and just across the street from the football stadium. Management does everything it their power to make your life wonderful! They fix things right away if something happens to go wrong and that is so comforting. They also will switch your room assignment if you're not happy, just because they want you to be comfortable and enjoy living here. You can't go wrong by choosing Blue Square. Living at Blue Square will make your college experience 10 times better!! read more

By far the worst establishment I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Don't EVER EVER EVER sign a contract with USU Housing because it will be extremely difficult to get out of it if you need to. I tried selling my contract to someone and apparently you can't sell someone who already has a contract with USU Housing all because the want to keep your money as much as they can and SUCK YOU DRY. I ended up having to pay double rent all because the RA's lied to me (they told me that it was acceptable for the girl from the SLC to move into Blue Square when it wasn't), the staff in the office were INCREDIBLY disrespectful and I can tell that they hate their job (find more eligible people for crying out loud!), and my RA was hardly available for me to talk with her regarding all the problems I was facing. It's not like you guys (USU Housing) should worry that much because students do need a place to live, but I will do whatever I can to spread the word to my closest friends, family, and colleagues to spend their money on a place that will put you into this unnecessary trap. Thank you all so much for giving me the "fun-filled college experience" and an even bigger thank you for taking $1800 away from me and leaving me completely stressed out this semester. read more
