She identifies problem areas, seems talented at physical maladies, and finds way to target needed therapy to the issues that need attention. I now stand straight even at 82 years and feel so much better even after the initial sessions. And the assistance seems to last longer and longer with each appointment. I have been referred to massage therapists in several countries over the years, and their efforts while comfortable and relaxing, nothing really improved. Julie stands out among her colleagues. She really knows what she is doing. Can't recommend her enough!

As an athlete, I am always asking for harder pressure and to work on problem areas, but most places do not deliver. At Angel Massage, James is very strong! I requested hard pressure and he did a fantastic job. The massage was still relaxing, and the calming music and massage oil scents were particularly inviting. The staff is super kind, and you feel very comfortable when you step through the door. I've tried some of the fancier spas in/outside of Gainesville, but none can massage as well as James at Angel!

One seemed annoyed that I didn't practice yoga because "yoga is life" according to him. The other therapist lectured me about my tight muscles in my back, but didn't make any suggestions on how to try to rectify the problem. I'm receptive to feedback, but not to being lectured or spoken down to by people who I'm paying for a service.

The quality of the massages vary wildly depending on who is performing them. During a recent massage, the therapist, Dorothy, farted audibly for at least the first ten minutes which was really rude and off putting. Additionally the therapists do not wear shoes. Given that clients are wearing footwear and coming and going to and from the parking lot, lobby, restrooms and the massage rooms, this gave me serious ick as the therapists must have seriously dirty feet by the end of the day. Not planning on going back.

The therapists have always been on time, had the room cleanly prepared, and discussed what areas have been causing me discomfort before the massage. When I first started coming here it was for deep tissue work (years of desk slouching = pain in the neck). When getting the work done you are able to let the therapist know how if you need more or less pressure. I recently had some surgery and I've had massages that really helped reduce my post surgical pain. If you're looking for a place that can focus on therapeutic massages this is the place I'd recommend.

It ended around 5:50, so I didn't receive the full time I paid for. The location also wasn't ideal during the massage, I heard two loud car alarms and an ambulance right outside the window, which made it hard to relax. While the masseuse was kind, the massage itself wasn't what I was looking for. I booked a lymphatic drainage massage but received more of a light, general massage with little pressure or technique. Considering the price (plus the generous tip I left), I was really disappointed overall. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

It's…read moredifficult to convey to the massage therapists what you want and there are often misunderstandings as no one speaks English well. Today, I came in and they were full. I asked how long until I could get a foot massage. The person at the desk held up a timer saying 20 minutes. I asked if I should sign in on a sheet or anything and they said no: I pointed to a chair right outside and said I'd be sitting there. I set a timer and came back in when it went off. They acted as though they had never seen me and started service on 3 new people. Why did they tell me yo come back in 20 minutes if I'd need to wait an additional "who knows how long" to get served? I told them that they had just told me to come back in 20 minutes and they all looked at each other, speaking only in their language, and ignored me. They just lost a regular.
