I have tried a lot of different massage places, and Angel Massage was one of (if not THE) best massage I've had. As an athlete, I am always asking for harder pressure and to work on problem areas, but most places do not deliver. At Angel Massage, James is very strong! I requested hard pressure and he did a fantastic job. The massage was still relaxing, and the calming music and massage oil scents were particularly inviting. The staff is super kind, and you feel very comfortable when you step through the door. I've tried some of the fancier spas in/outside of Gainesville, but none can massage as well as James at Angel! read more

I stopped by Angel Massage after a long week at work, and the session was exactly what I needed. The room was quiet, the atmosphere was comfortable, and I left feeling noticeably more relaxed. read more

I had an amazing massage body and feet. The place is no frills unlike some of the name brands that are familiar but I left feeling relaxed. I booked online which was very easy and you receive text reminders about the appointment. I had overlooked this place but will return. read more

My wife and I came in for a couples massage after a long drive and had a wonderful experience. They were very accommodating in fitting us in last minute and took the time to ask where we wanted the focus and how much pressure we preferred. The massage room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, which made it easy to fully relax. We both left feeling refreshed and restored. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it. read more

I pulled a muscle in my back and went to Angel massage as soon as they opened. They do take walk in's. I asked for the combo (body and feet) for 30 minutes. The masseuse will ask if there's a particular area you would like for them to focus on, as well ask the pressure you would like. I explained how I pulled a muscle on my right shoulder blade and it's been painful to lay down or move. I requested medium pressure. He did an amazing job and regret getting a short session. I still have a bit of muscle pain, but the majority was relieved. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! Hubby and I anniversary was today and we made a last minute decision to try and book a couples massage and called at 5pm they got us in at 8 as I mentioned it was our anniversary. We walked in and the owner bought us flowers which was so unexpected and truly made it special for us. My husband and I have not been out on our own in 14 years on our anniversary (4 kids lol) and the service was amazing and we felt welcomed but also had a great massage experience. Thank you to the owner for making our anniversary special and staying 30 mins later to accommodate our last minute booking. We will definitely recommend and be back! read more

Very good pressure, stones were cool, was able to just walk right in was very simple and easy

Absolutely fantastic place, people and service! My favorite in town for few years now! Always clean, staff is super pleasant and nice, and always willing to accommodate you and make you feel like at home! Massage services are top notch (I always get deep tissue as I am always so sore & sometimes in pain after my heavy workouts) focusing on exactly what I need at that moment. Also, prices are affordable. You will not regret it! Strongly recommend!! read more

I love coming here. Nana and everyone wonderful. I always come out of there feeling relaxed. I highly recommend them. Thanks!

I haven't had a massage like that in a long time! It was everything I was looking for. Annie was my masseuse, and she first spent an hour walking on my back, which was amazing! Then the next hour, she massaged the rest of my body. Felt so good! Will be back! read more

The people here are wonderful and knowledgeable. From everyday stiffness to recovering from an accident; they will go above and beyond to give your body the Care it needs and deserves. As soon as you walk in the door the calm washes over you and follows you long after you leave. Don't pass this place up or you're missing out! read more

Update: after I posted this review, Angel Massage began harassing me repeatedly via phone calls, texts, and Yelp messaging. They were giving various explanations- the therapist was new, offered to refund my money if I removed my review, etc. etc. I ended up blocking them on all platforms and reported them to Yelp. I would stay far away from this place. *********************** Disappointed in the spa and my massage. Although I made an appointment through Yelp, and it was confirmed by Na L, they were surprised when I arrived and clearly not expecting me. The room was clean, but no face cradle for the massage table? This was a first for me - the table had a hole for your face and thankfully it was lined with a towel. The massage was just meh. No attempt to massage my arms or legs. Although I booked a full body massage and reiterated that to the therapist before we began, she only massaged my problem areas that I had pointed out. Most of the massage consisted of her running her forearm up and down my back, and digging her elbow into my muscles. Not even sure she was a trained masseuse. I won't be returning as there are so many other superior massage places available in Gainesville. read more

Very nice! Professional, pleasant, and clean experience. I am a repeat customer and look forward to more visits.

I have given this place numerous chances and today was my last straw. My massage was interrupted five times by the phone and then three times by people coming in the door. I requested a 90 minutes massage but only received about 75 minutes. My appointment was at 3:30 pm. Massage started at 3:40 pm. My masseuse never touched my arms, shoulders, neck, glutes, shins, knees, or upper legs. The masseuse massaged in the same place on my back and feet over and over. Never used her hands or fingers only her elbows. This place lacks attention to detail and needs to hire someone to handle calls and people coming in the door. Interruptions on a massage ruin the entire relaxation process. read more

I highly recommend Angel Massage. She instinctively targets the muscles. Everything is clean and they provide care asking if you need soft touch or harder. I will continue to be a customer for their great professional service. read more

This is the first time I went the place . I read reviews in the yelp . All 5 stars , that's the reason brought me there . It's amazing. The masseuse name as Jessica is really good . She knows how to do real massage. Not just soft touch you . It's pressure point real Chinese massage. I am so happy find her . I tried 60mins full body massage with hot stone . It's highly recommended. I will bring my husband go there too. read more

I yelped Nana this morning for a Reflexology appointment and she responded right away. She spent an hour on my sore feet. She worked them so hard I thought I wouldn't be able to walk out lol but I feel better now than when I walked in. Nana is funny and personable I will definitely be in again to see her. read more

This was a fantastic experience with Angel Massage for a 60-minute full body massage. I messaged her on Yelp to schedule an appointment for the same day and she thankfully had some availability. She was polite, thorough and so so helpful. this is my best experience with a non-spa massage and I will definitely be back. Thank you!! read more

After my second visit I can only confirm my first five star review a year ago. This is not a fancy location but you will receive a top quality massage. This is a great place to go if you are starting a detox program too. Very kind and professional staff. I can't wait to return again. read more

Update- have visited this place several times. Oh my word!!!! They definitely earn the title of their massage spa. It's been so long since I had a massage this great! It was the kind of massage that was so good that I woke myself up with a snore. My daughter and I needed a massage to get our knots out from traveling and stress. They have magic hands. We were placed in the same room (which I totally appreciate since I still worry about my daughter even though she's 18). They asked what type of pressure I liked, which was medium to firm and he was great. My daughter had the lady who was equally awesome. Not only so they give a fantastic massage, but the hot stones are included so it was like a bonus treat for a fair price.. I will definitely put this place down as a must visit every time we're in the area. read more

Li's massage practice is available when all the others are closed....it's in a central location and easy to find. The massage therapists there are all caring, friendly and accommodating. I have been going there for many years. My husband has also been a client there and always has a great experience, as do I. I've been here several times and it has always been a great experience. They pay special attention to the areas that I need them to work more on, they are friendly and it's super easy to get an appointment. I've had lots of great massages in my life but this place is the best. read more

I just got out of a full body massage and I haven't felt this good in years! I tend to have a lot of knots in my neck and shoulder blades so I need hard pressure, and not only was the pressure perfect but she did some other things that were amazing -I don't even know what they were & I don't care as long as she'll do it again next time! Lol I've had plenty of massages but this was incredible. When I got there I couldn't feel my left hand except when it was tingling and my sciatica was causing so much pain down the right side of my back and leg that it hurt to stand and hurt even worse to sit down. She knew exactly what to do and where and it felt great, both during and after. I can feel my hands again and I am sitting here comfortably writing this review. I'm definitely going to be back, possibly every week! read more

I've been having some neck pain and decided to treat myself to a massage. Read the reviews and called them. They were able to see me immediately. I believe I saw Jessica, but unsure. Either way she's gifted. I asked for medium-firm and she went to town. She asked my problem areas and spent a lot of time focusing there. Getting into the tissues very deep and going after the knots. I went for 90 mins and yes it was a full 90 mins. 4-5:30 and she worked the entire time. I'll be back for sure. Gonna sleep like a boss tonight. Dang. It was really good. read more

Nana is terrific. professional, listens well to my needs, varied pressure as directed, intuitively found trouble spots as well as the areas I indicated. Was feeling more beneficial effects as the week went on. read more

I am very happy with the service I received here. The room was quiet and peaceful, the technician was friendly and complimentary but not talkative so that I could just zone and bliss out, and she was sensitive to my request that she be more gentle than the lady at Hand and Stone who left me in pain last time. (I was somehow given the Deep Tissue person at Hand and Stone after specifically requesting something more gentle; I have had other good experiences there but went to Angel this time just to see what else was out there. It turned out to be a fruitful decision.) This was also my first time having the hot stones as part of the treatment and as I believe H&S charges extra for that, I salute Angel for providing more for less money. I will definitely be back. read more

I highly recommend Angel Massage and Spa. I was in town to move my daughter's apartment and decided to do a walk-in to Angels. They were able to accommodate a 90 minute massage and it was Amazing. My therapist also used hot stones. I was very fortunate to be seen without waiting but it's well worth booking ahead of time. The prices are very reasonable and it was worth every bit of the tip. I will definitely come back again. read more

When I get a massage, I try to get it from a person of color. And the person who gave me the massage was the person who was attending the front desk. I had a great conversation with her while getting the massage and she most definitely got some of my knots out. She can give you a light massage and a heavy massage. I went for the heavier side. A lot of times it felt painful. But, know this, the more painful it is, the better it feels after. She gave me a facial massage and really focused on my shoulders. I feel amazing right now and I'm definitely going back. read more

Not so happy with the massage. At first it was great; she worked out a kink on one side then found another on the other side, and that one really hurt! I asked her to use less pressure over that area because it was very uncomfortable, so she went to zero pressure! I have a ganglion cyst on the top of one foot and for some reason she felt the need to massage the top of THAT foot for what seemed like eternity and use as much pressure as she possibly could. Again, that pressure was too much and it was hurting me, but I didn't want to say anything to further upset her. But, after 5 minutes or more on the same area, I couldn't take it anymore and asked her to use less pressure on the top of the foot. Well, she did, she literally quit massaging me. She got over to the other foot and was doing zero pressure and was intermittent stopping. I honestly thought she fell asleep. I lifted the towel off my eyes and looked down at her and asked if she was okay. She said she was okay but every time she massages me, I complain that it hurts! I have had 100's of massages and have NEVER been treated like that before. The massage therapists' I'm used to care about and ask about what pressure you want and where. I don't know what her name was. I apologized to her on the way for having pain. So, I won't be back. read more

Great find ! Had 2 hour massage and it was about $120 ! Friendly staff and good massage for the money. Will definitely be back I just wish I caught my girls name so I could ask for her again. read more

I went to Angel Massage on my birthday for a treat to myself. This was my first massage so I was excited. Wow, what a wonderful experience! I chose the whole body massage and Nana is very professional and skillful. I felt like the stiffness and tightness that built up on my shoulder and back had "melt away" while I was in the session. And the hot stone treatment was very soothing and felt so good. I almost felt into asleep. The price is very reasonable and the treatment is what exactly I need---to release the pressure of my body. And the room is clean and the towels are comfortable. I would definitely go back for more treatment. Thank you Nana! read more
