I didn't know anything about the yogahour class format, and to be honest, I might not have gone to the class if I had known - it's a little less flowy than I normally like to practice. BUT. Roxy, the teacher was so warm, passionate, clear and invested in our experience as students, that she was able to make me feel relaxed and skillfully guided in a practice that, under a less-skillful and passionate teacher, I might not have liked. I also appreciated the beautiful space and the super friendly people that came to class. It's clear that they've got a good community here, and I was blessed to be a visitor. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

If you're looking for an ultra chic, modern, pretentious studio... look elsewhere! This studio…read moregives you that warm fuzzy 'local community' vibe (they even sell local artist goods in the lobby if you're interested in a 'one of a kind' statement necklace)! The classes are offered in a beautiful brick building (wood floors, big windows) on what I would consider the 'Main Street' of Lafayette Square. Plenty of parking in front of the studio or nearby. You have to travel through a small alley to get to the door (which is quite romantic... you can smell incense burning as you approach the studio's entrance). All of the instructors are friendly, helpful, and set a good pace for class. A couple of my friends enjoyed their experience with the studio so much they decided to complete the 'teacher training'! It's been fun to attend classes they host now to see how much their practice has developed!

I'm trying…read moreto slowly get back into the routine and improve my flexibility, range of motion, and inner peace. Starting with Anna's Slow Flow was perfect. She offers modifications for the advanced or novice participants. Her voice was relaxing and calming and she has a good vocabulary for guiding you through verbally. The space itself was slightly warm before we got started, but it's not a hot yoga studio (as far as I know). If you don't have or forget your equipment (like I did running out of the house this morning), they're fully stocked in the back of the room with mats, blankets, knee pads, blocks, and straps. There's sanitation spray and cloth towels for cleaning borrowed equipment. They also have a small locker room to store your personal items during class. I love this space! I will be back!

I really appreciated that they offered modifications and options for both beginners and people who wanted to challenge themselves with more advanced poses. The studio also has plenty of space, so I never felt cramped or like I was on top of the person next to me. The overall environment was welcoming and comfortable, which made it easy to focus and enjoy the class that works well for different skill levels. I'd definitely come back!

She is effortless in her teaching, and speaks as if she's a friend guiding your body from shape to shape. There's no pretense to her presence, just authenticity and a true passion for what she does. I moved away from a very strong yoga practice and community back home at a studio I adore, and this place already feels like home away from home. The practice space: Thoughtfully appointed with a laid back feel, it's a perfect space to flow. The ceilings are tall, light is abundant, and there's plenty of wall space for an end-of-class legs up the wall savasana. Juicy. Lots of plants and greenery, plus wood and gauzy curtains that lend a very breezy energy. At a glance appears to have space for 15-20 mats (give or take). Logistics: There's one restroom shared by a few wellness businesses in the communal hallway. Entry to the space requires walking up a flight up stairs - there's no elevator that I've been able to find. Parking: Ample street parking - and directly across from Schnucks, so it's perfect to get some weekend or evening grocery shopping done after class. Extras: The community seems to interact with one another and know each others names and faces. Very friendly studio, options galore. Lots of options given and all levels of experience in class. Can't wait to keep coming back again and again!

I researched yoga studios and loved the feel and messages on Shanti's social media feeds. That was 2022 and now I am a devotee and found an AMAZING community that goes beyond the mat. I could go on and on, but looking forward to my upcoming 200th class and beyond!
