I've been a member of YogaSix St. Louis since 2015. One of the things I appreciate most is the wide variety of classes offered throughout the day, which makes it easy to fit yoga into my schedule. They offer different class styles and intensity levels, so I can choose a practice that matches my energy level on any given day--sometimes is Power, other days restore and in the winter a hot yoga class it's a bliss. The instructors are kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend YogaSix St. Louis to anyone looking for a studio with great teachers, flexible scheduling, and a positive, supportive community. read more

This is how to start a Sunday, peaceful stretching, mindful breathing, and a killer yoga flow that left me feeling like a human puddle of Zen. We recently went to a Yoga Six event at Frontenac Plaza where everything was just so well-organized. They open Vuori early just for us. And they were handing out berry box and a neon banana as a plus. Are they trying to win me over with aesthetically pleasing nutrients and spontaneous delight? The class itself? I was shaking in muscles I forgot I had and smiling like I just got a puppy. Truly delightful. Huge thanks to Jensen for signing us up. read more

I love all the instructors and is such a good workout! Lucy's classes have the funnest music, inspirational poems and just feel good about your day. Andrea is a bundle of sunshine and so peaceful. Bethany will pep you up and alicia is a great teacher! There is literally not a bad teacher in the place! read more

This was my first time at Yoga Six. Conveniently located off Oakland near Forest Park! Walking in there's a clean environment, the women were tentative to helping me check in & showing me around. Today I tried the Y6 Hot which is their Hot yoga class. Talk about burning some calories & clearing your mind! This put me in a deeper stretch, but still feeling safe & comfortable, which I can appreciate! The instructor was great! After class they had ice cold Lavender towels to cool off with, which really hit the spot! If you haven't been, you need to check it out because you're missing out! Make sure to check their instagram for different events going on with them! I will defiantly be back! read more

I LOVE my yoga studio! Friendly staff and excellent instructors make this place unique and peaceful.

I love YogaSix St. Louis. The instructors are professional and personable. Yoga has really improved my running and hip pain.

Best studio! Sculpt classes with Andrea and Lucy are the best! Would recommend for people of all levels

There are several really awesome teachers at this studio. I particuarly love Brandi, Thi and Roxanne - their classes are challenging, but always very unique, and I appreciate the feedback, verbal cues, and sometimes, hands-on assistance they provide. I feel that my practice has improved since joining this studio in the fall, and I have learned quite a few new poses and transitions since starting. Sculpt 'n' Flow is basically an insane hot workout with yoga, and weights, and high energy music. It's SUPER fun and SUPER challenging. Definitely recommend for a endorphin inducing, butt kicking hour of your life! My biggest complaint, and it continues to be a bit of a big one for me, is that it is just too crowded in certain classes. Now that I am familiar with the studio I am aware of this issue and often arrive 15 minutes before each class to grab my perfect spot. However, if the class is full (which most times they are) I often feel crowded and nervous to do certain poses or balances in case I fall into a person, or they fall into me. I am in no way an advanced yogi and these concerns feel very real to me. I have a dance background so I like to have a lot of space to move. Being confined to my mat with other participants only a few inches away from me makes me feel uncomfortable. Parking can be a bit of a "B" too but I don't blame the studio. It's a busy area. Arrive in advance and you'll be fine. read more

I've been looking for a hot yoga spot for a couple years! I found out about March madness, lucked into a class led by an instructor with great vibes, and--i think I'm in for the long haul read more

I came into this place, expecting one thing and got a work out that was even better. I almost passed out because I underestimated the strength level needed to complete this class. After about 30 minutes, I tried everything that I could think of to escape the physical demands. Thankfully, I was just in time because the instructor began to slow down for the cool down. I can't believe I survived it and afterwards, and I mean quite a few days afterwards I felt like 1 million bucks. If I lived in St. Louis, this would be my yoga spot every week. read more

I've been a member for just over a year. The people I have met have made me feel so at home. The variety of classes, the quality instructors, and the positive vibe all contribute to this great studio. I'm always amazed at how much there is to explore in my yoga practice. I'm a true believer! read more

YogaSix in general is knockoff/kidSister of CorePower. But YogaSix does a good job on their yoga experience. The facilities are really nice; Mens lockerroom is small/tight, but well appointed and clean w/ luxurious showers. Staff was very nice and compenet. There is a thriving, generally young yoga community. When I've visited, classes have always been very full. I would describe the classes as less yoga purist, but a solid workout. read more

Love this studio! Lucy is the best teacher love her Wednesday night class. Her playlist is the best

I was a bit nervous walking in because I'm not a fan of Yoga..My cousin/friend suggested I try it..I'm always up for a challenge so I gave it a go. I was greeted at the door and instructed to use a cubby for my shoes and coat. After getting settled I was given a tour of the locker room..The class was horribly good if that makes sense..The hot yoga was challenging but I made it thru the hour. I can't say I got used to the heat but I didn't walk out like my mind was telling me..the movements were typical yoga ‍ poses and the instructor was very easy to follow..I will be trying it again read more

Bad bad bad covid protocols. I took a "restore" class that was not restorative at all (frog pose, monkey lunge, twisted monkey, pyramid pose all not restorative plus no props, iykyk) and the class was absolutely packed. Couldn't have fit 2 more people in. Only half the people wearing their masks despite it not being sweaty. No props available which sure if you actually care about covid but they obviously didn't. I won't be back til vaccinated and definitely Not to this "restore" class again either way! Y6 should set sequence this class so it can't be messed with and is as advertised-an actual restorative class. As it was i just had an annoying uncomfortable hour, and I'm a teacher who has practiced for over a decade. read more

ay, they automatically charged me $129 for an unlimited monthly membership. I guess maybe it was in the extremely fine print? I hate when companies do that. It's super shady. I was not ready for an unlimited membership. I had no idea I was going to be charged and I only found out a few days later when I checked my personal email. Not only would they not refund me, but they told me that I was going to get auto charged on May 30 for $129 as well, because their policy is that you have to cancel 30 days ahead of time. How was I going to cancel 30 days ahead of time when I didn't even know I was going to be auto charged, like I said. I will find a hot yoga place that isn't so shady. Makes me wonder what the quality of business really is there, that they have to have these shitty policies taking advantage of people Can't you just let people who actually like the place and want to continue to come, by the type of membership that they want? I guess not. read more

I just started using ClassPass to give me some more lower impact options as I'm recovering from surgery. I came to YogaSix as I remembered a friend had recommended this studio in the past. Check in was easy and friendly the locker rooms were also nice. I was told to put my mat down where I found markings on the floor. I was really surprised when I walked in the room and it was very small/enclosed with people very close together unmasked. I'm vaccinated but I'm still uncomfortable with just taking other people's word for their vaccination status. I'm used to my home gym which is still allowing for adequate spacing. Here I had plenty of room front to back but the person next to me was about two inches away. When we turned to the side they were very close to me. The reason for the three stars was despite this the workout was very good and reminded me of when I used to practice Bikram. But by the end when we did cleansing breathing exercises while all enclosed in a hot room definitely guaranteed I won't be returning again. read more

Perfect place to go no matter what level your yoga practice is. Options for beginners and more advanced levels, heated and non-heated, relaxing based or strength building, you get it all here. My favorite weekly class is Jeni's 10:30 am Restore on Saturdays. Every time I leave with a skip, energized, and relaxed. We are spaced well in the rooms and masks are optional during the practice. Always very clean and supportive. Thank you Y6 for this community and space! read more

Good: 1). Some classes/instructors are amazing. 2). Very clean, soft, calming, and welcoming environment. 3). Friendly staff & great cleaning protocols. 4). Functional & helpful app. 5.) Easy to use communication system. Bad: 1). Class capacity has become a huge turn off. Trying to fit way too many people into a small room with a giant column, which leads to crowded class room and constant need to watch out not hitting your neighbor in the face. 2). Strict no-enter policy paired with limited parking space makes coming in a stressful experience. 3). Some classes/instructors are less than engaging & don't seem knowledgeable either. 4). Some equipment is way too old (weight set rack, etc.) I'd admit, everything else in the "Bad" category is tolerable except for the class capacity. Without this issue I'd give this location a 4-star. Having to do a hot yoga with people almost stacking on top of each other, especially the evening & weekend selections, is worth deducting one star. Understanding the studio needs to make money & keep growing, the customer experience is sacrificed as a result, especially for the annual members. Reasons listed are ranked by subjective intensity. read more

Really not good customer service. I signed up for at 4:30 class to be turned away at 4:32 because I was late. I will add I walked quite a ways after trying to find parking because of the paving of the road in front. They offered me to join the 5:30 class after getting off work and fighting with traffic who would even take that offer .. Needless to say not a good vibe I'll try another place in town. read more

I never used to be a yoga person until I tried YogaSix through ClassPass. I ended up liking it so much that I came for 8 classes through ClassPass and now have signed up for an unlimited monthly membership. It has been so worth it. The first class I went to was a Drake themed class with Stefanie. Drake music was not what I expected for a yoga class but Stefanie made it work well! I have gone to lots of Stefanie's hot yoga evening classes since that Drake themed class and she always has an amazing playlist. It's more modern and I enjoy how she ups the tempo of the music when we do abs and fits other songs to the other movements we do. I love going to Stefanie's classes every week! I took two Power Yoga classes with Tim and did not know what to expect since all the classes I did previously were hot yoga classes. I ended up loving it and even felt sore the next day. Most people don't think that yoga is a muscle strengthening class and is just for stretching or flexibility but the power yoga class with Tim proves them wrong! Tim was very encouraging and helpful, I'm excited to continue to take power yoga classes with him! I have also done hot yoga with Patrick. I was hesitant about Patrick's class mainly because it was at 6am on a Friday and I'm not much of a morning person. The class ended up going great! Patrick took the time to go around the room and adjust people's bodies so that they would get a deeper stretch and have the correct form. I definitely want to go to another class with Patrick as long as I can wake up early enough! From the time I started going to YogaSix to now, I already feel much more flexible and my posture has even improved. My body feels better and I focus on my breathing more in other workouts. Thanks YogaSix for being so welcoming! I'll be back soon! read more

This is now one of my two go-to yoga studios (other is YogaSource). I love Power Yoga and Hot Yoga. They really have a diverse roster of teachers - some are more about grounding and breath, some are better for cardio power yoga and some are more about strength. I've never had a Power Yoga teacher I didn't like. The amenities are great, it's nice to have 2 showers in case you have to head to work, etc. after. The only thing I don't like is the regimented markers where you need to put your mat, since, when classes are packed, there really is no space to do the more unwieldy poses. When Power Yoga is packed, it is a whole other level of challenge having so many sweaty people in one room, but honestly it never really gets super smelly, considering. All the teachers are really nice too, and still very accessible, even if class is difficult. read more

I never lower my original yelp ratings, and I can already tell I won't like doing this. Sorry Yoga Six. So I ended up terminating my monthly membership because I moved out of St. Louis. However, at the time I terminated my membership, I had accumulated over 1000 perskville points (the point system they use to encourage attendance). Once you accumulate 1000 points, you can receive a $100 retail gift card. Pretty sweet deal. However, on the last day of my membership I wasnt finding anything I liked in the store (I was saving up to get some cool printed yoga pants, and they had none at the time). I asked the receptionist if I can still use the gift card after my membership is over- and she said yes!! So I knew on my next trip to STL I would make time to stop by and purchase something at that time. Unfortunately, one of the managers emailed me and told me that the gift card can only be redeemed by monthly members. I explained the receptionist promised I could still use it after my monthly membership expired and if I had known this ahead of time I would have spent the gift card on something else. She was totally unresponsive. It was just really upsetting that they really pretend to make a connection with you while you are a member, but as soon as you are no longer a member they treat you so differently! When I got that email, I felt like the relationships I had built with the staff there was so fake. I'm just not a fan of the service I had at Yoga six on those last few days.... and that is enough to ruin the numerous months of fairly good experiences. =( read more

Yoga Six is not bringing me to "Zen"-- it's easily kicking my butt. And let me tell you, I love a challenge. Last week I decided on a whim to start taking yoga classes instead of my Jillian Michaels DVD's. So, after some online reviewing, I chose Yoga Six as my new guide, and after two classes, I can easily say it is amping up my routine. Yoga Six offers a lot of membership deals, but the best is their "6 Free Classes Card" that lets you attend any 6 classes of your choice, in 2 weeks, but by (or before) that 6th class you have to decide to purchase a membership. I think this is a great deal. Upon my first visit I was a little nervous, I wasn't going with friends, it was just me, myself, and my yoga mat. But Matt at the front desk was incredibly nice, gave me a tour of the establishment (no shoes past the front area and low talking voices as not to disturb the classes going on), but this place is very welcoming. The environment is relaxing, with big seating areas to lounge on before or after classes. I have taken two classes thus far: FIT60 Sculpt with Sara Patino and FIT60 Barre with Missy Gurrola. All I can say is that you are getting what you pay for. I walked out of both of these classes dripping with sweat, sore after about an hour, and energized to go back. Both instructors (which I can imagine all Yoga Six instructors to be like) were passionate, kept the tempo up with very current, awesome mashups and smiles on their faces. They don't pick on anyone, love new participants, and if you're a returning student, they know people by name. I respect a business that truly cares about their clients, and Yoga Six is doing a great job of that. I'm heading there again today and am trying yet another new class, Y60 Slow Flow, which is more traditional style yoga. They have a little bit of something for everyone--whether that be classic yoga or a new spin on cardio and getting toned--I recommend this business highly! read more

Guess who's back in town? ;) After almost 2 years in Virginia, I'm back in the good old STL, and what better way to celebrate that by writing about the place that I've spent most of my time in the past 2 months? This yoga studio is absolutely fantastic. I knew from the moment I first walked in that this would be my new yoga 'home'. The staff are all super friendly, and I love that they greet you by name when you walk in! Super friendliness or a sign that I come here too often? I'll continue to tell myself it's the former. :) So far, I've only taken the Y60 Classic and Y60 Fusion. I'm a huge fan of both. The Classic class is more of a beginners class, so I recommend starting with that, and once you get the hang of it, move on to Fusion. They are both 60 minute classes taught in a hot room. I believe the temperature is somewhere around 104 degrees, so be prepared for that! If you have a yoga mat and a towel, great! If not, you can rent both from the studio for pretty cheap. In addition, there are cubbies to store your stuff (shoes, purse, keys, etc.) in while you take class, and there are also men's and women's locker rooms with showers. My only complaint (and the reason why I'm giving Yoga Six 4 stars instead of 5) is that a pretty big handful of members here are pretty darn rude -- coming to class late (which is super distracting and inconsiderate), and talking in the room before class starts, even though the rules pretty clearly state that the yoga rooms are supposed to be quiet. There's a cute little lobby outside of the classrooms for people that would like to chat before class, and I wish more people would be respectful of that. In my perfect world, I wouldn't have to deal with those things, but I guess life's not perfect, eh? Anyway, I highly recommend this studio. Yes, it's a little pricey, but don't let that keep you away. read more

This studio is hands down Ah-Mazing! I travel a lot and this studio has become a mainstay for me when I am in St Louis. Not only are the front desk staff friendly, they are knowledgable and always guide me in the right direction in terms of class choice. The studio itself is Beautiful. Clean, contemporary and stunning finishes, its like a home away from home. It definitely is a stand alone in terms of studio ambience and style. I have taken classes from most all of the teachers and have had a positive experience each time. I especially enjoy the hot classes, they are hot enough to get a good sweat, feel cleansed and rejuvenated, without feeling like I am going to die, some other studios are just way too HOT, to the point of unhealthy. As an avid athlete, the deep stretch is also a one of my faves. The teachers are educated and down to earth, I always feel supported, and love that although this isn't my home studio bc I dont live in St Louis, when I go the teachers and staff always welcome me back. This is a 5 star studio with 5 star teachers and staff :) Happy Yogi read more

There's nothing that can get me out of bed before 6 a.m. except Yoga Six! Best part is there are also plenty of night classes as well and your first six classes are free. I've been doing yoga for over a decade and I've never been so impressed with a place's amenities. The studio is beautiful and the locker rooms are spa-like with rocky bottom showers, toiletries and also very clean. There's even a little lounge with books to relax in before or after class. The staff is very friendly and accomadating. I'm a big fan of hot yoga and the room gets perfectly hot, but not Bikram hot. The routine and flow is very nice and covers the whole body and leaves you feeling wonderful in Shivasana. The only downfall is that I would like a class that incorporates more yoga philosophy, although I know that's not what everyone wants from yoga. I moved here from San Diego so it's a nice reminder of home. An ohm at the end of class would be nice, but other than that this place gets an A. Namastae! read more

Since this place opened in June, I've been going nearly once a week. There are TON of positives about this yoga studio, and except for a few suggestions I think they are doing a great job. Thanks for growing the yoga community in St. Louis! Pros: - gorgeous, beautiful space. Everything feels clean and smells good - which can be a challenge after sweaty hot yoga classes. The design is awesome, and the studio has a good layout that makes sense - amenities. They have Aveeno lotion (nice!), Q-tips, hair dryers, soap, shampoo/conditioner...everything you could need if you plan to shower after a class. - whatever material they are used for the floor in the yoga studio itself is some kind of miracle mat. Those hot yoga classes get HOT, everyone is sweating, but so far the place does not have that typical Bikram stank. Since it's been open for about 3-4 months now, I'm gonna lay down a verdict that they are doing something different that keeps things cleaner and less funky. - good variety of classes with convenient times. Admittedly I've only done hot yoga or warm yoga, but the 6pm and 6:30am times are perfect for those who work during the day. - good teachers. I've already become stuck on Sarah Ross and Max Mirowitz. Challenging but encouraging. They've never called anyone out for doing anything wrong, but quietly assist anyone who is struggling without calling attention. And they do hands-on assists to adjust your posture, which help a lot. Cons: The only bad experience I've had with YogaSix so far regards their treatment of a Groupon they offered when they first opened. My friend tried to use one that she received as a gift, after she had already used the one she purchased. They gave her a really hard time about it, and in the end didn't let her use it. She ended up giving it to me, and while they let me use it they charged me tax on the Groupon, which I've never experienced before. Overall this place gets a solid A, and I highly encourage anyone looking for a yoga studio to give this place a shot. read more

Yoga Six is great! The staff is so nice and welcoming, and they do a "free six class" card for new students ... so remember to take advantage of that, as well as their student discounts. The studio is definitely one of the most beautiful I've seen. It's very well-lit and decorated with natural accents, like stone and wood, which lends a nice, relaxing ambiance to the whole place. The shower room and the bathrooms are clean and well-kept, and the rooms and equipment still smell OK and seem to be kept hygienic. The studio has classes for people of all levels, ranging from beginners' yoga fundamentals classes to hot vinyasa flow classes. The hot yoga classes here are a little hotter than I'm used to (the "warm" classes are set to 85 degrees, but the "hot" classes are set to 103 ... basically Bikram heat). They also have a few unique classes that combine yoga with weights or ballet techniques. I think these yoga-inspired workout classes are the best thing that Yoga Six offers. The yoga with weights class (Y6 Sculpt) is a GREAT workout. I once took it with Kim, and she kicked my butt so hard, I was sore for an entire week afterward. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, including in the early a.m., which is always nice. The only slight drawback I can think of is just a matter of personal preference ... the studio is definitely a bit trendy, and I tend to prefer traditional studios that emphasize the philosophy and not just the physical part of yoga. Regardless, the yoga-inspired I still come here regularly, and I still love the studio! read more

I chose Yoga Six as the replacement class that I'd dropped from the Grove/Urban Breath. My first class was with Alison, and she teaches a challenging series of poses while she spends most of her time at the front of the class showing how the poses should be done/transitioned through. This is a lot different than the instruction style at Breath & Body in Austin, but it was helpful for visualizing how a pose should be held. I couldn't hit all the positions, but Alison offers options to move into a modified pose if you're not an advanced student. The class I took was the Y6 Flow which is an advanced class so I didn't expect to be able to do everything anyway. The other classes I've taken there were taught by Rebekka and I really like that Rebekka incorporates reading passages from her favorite tomes to the class to set the tone for the Flow. She has a gentle instruction quality and I liked that the resonance of her voice carried through the class. I was able to follow along easily even if I could not see what she was doing at the front of the class. The studio is gorgeous! When I'm taking classes here I'm in town on business so the fact that Y6 has mats/towels and showers available for use is a big plus! The women's shower is fully stocked with shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Full size towels are available for use ($2) as is deodorant, q-tips, hair ties and a hair dryer for finishing up. This place is great, and it will be a regular haunt of mine every time I'm in St. Louis. read more
