She was the one who recommended I have a sleep test... now I know I have severe sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine every night to give my brain the oxygen it needs. She was also the one who suggested I get tested for MTHFR gene SNPs.... now I know I am homozygous for the C677T allele and take L-methyfolate every day to normalize my neurotransmitter levels and reduce fatigue (as well as reduce my risk for certain heart diseases). Karen has also helped me adjust or switch anxiety medications several times, and seems to know the pros and cons of each drug available. I highly recommend her.

EMDR is life changing and Danielle is incredibly skilled at guiding you through the process. If…read moreyou're considering it, do it. If you've come as far as looking up practitioners, you are ready. And if you're looking for someone experienced, knowledgeable, professional and supportive, Danielle is the one. I have been in more traditional therapy for years and I still also highly recommend that route, but there is something incredibly remarkable about EMDR and the way you are able to access, relive, reprocess and move beyond past traumas that have impacted the way you think, act, move and literally every other aspect of your current life. I discovered/uncovered some trauma that I didn't realize I had and Danielle helped guide me through the entire process. EMDR can be extremely profound and thus also difficult and painful. To have someone that i felt was experienced enough and able to recognize how I was moving through each phase made me feel supported, reassured and very capable of diving into my past so that I can better dive into my future. I honestly feel like every single person could benefit from EMDR and cannot say enough positive things about it or Danielle.

I felt like I was talking to someone with a loaded gun rather than a therapist. I couldn't reason with her and felt like I was being pelted with rocks and garbage. I made mistakes (I cancelled appointments and was late at times) but on our last phone call, she was downright mean and not a very good listener. She hung up on me! I was 100% wrong in her eyes. I made some mistakes-yes but she did not give me proper warning or an opportunity to correct them. She duped me over email! While I understand there are many good reviews and I went to her for almost a year. She will drop you if you cancel too many times and instead of simply having a conversation with you about it, she'll just do it. Not a great way to treat someone who is in "therapy"

She does not prescribe pain meds, but I'd say she's a quarterback to help you manage chronic pain issues. She also apparently works on people with other chronic issues -- depression, e.g. I found Dr Rosenman after reading about neuroplasticity and how it is being used to treat chronic pain. She's one of the few people in the US to focus on neuroplasticity to treat chronic pain. She works with Dr Moskowitz in Sausalito, who is one of the pioneers in neuroplasticity for pain management. I'm taking her 8 week course on neuroplasticity and recommend it without reservations to anyone familiar with neuroplasticity and wanting to really dive in. I'll update this in the future!

While many things helped, others seemed intractable even as my condition improved. Meeting Dr Rosenman a few years ago turned my life around. She helped me understand the nature of chronic pain, how the mind and body affect each other, the interplay of psychological, mental, emotional, and physical elements, the neuroplasticity of the mind and its role, and how to interact with doctors and healthcare providers for best results. She helped set me on the path to a fuller recovery for which I can never be thankful enough. Dr. Rosenman is everything one could wish for in a doctor: intelligent, authentic, kind, compassionate, friendly, and direct, in addition to highly knowledgable and experienced in her field. Her work is groundbreaking and I absolutely recommend her.

She taught me how to recognize my feelings, and how to then communicate them to others. I would highly recommend her to anyone working through childhood trauma (particularly with adoption) and family issues. Thanks to her support (and the skills I learned from her), I've been able to sever toxic relationships, make a career change, and open myself up to better possibilities. She had a way of working me through my baggage without ever being condescending or less-than-kind. I never felt like she was lecturing me, but rather that we were working together. That's not to say she was a pushover or blasé; on the contrary, she could see through my jokes and deflection, and helped me face the parts of myself that I was scared to face alone. I honestly don't know where I'd be without her. Even though I 'graduated' from seeing her, I will be grateful to her for the rest of my life. This is not an exaggeration, she is just amazing.
