We called Blue Sky for an estimate regarding needed outside repair. Rico cleaned our chimney and inspected the outside. He arrived right on time and was very easy to converse with regarding what he was doing, the issues that he found--inside and out, and what the options would be going forward. He took many photos and said a detailed estimate would arrive within a couple of days. read more

BAD SERVICE & A LIAR!!!! LOOK AT THE PHOTOS!! READ I WILL PROVE IT TO YOU!!!! I tried to contact the owner about putting in a gas insert after I got an email they were installing them. Getting quotes. I also needed a SS sleeve for my 2nd chimney. I was going to use BlueSky Chimney but they just "BLUE" me off!! Lol. I was chatting with the owner David for about a month trying to plan things out over chat because he gave me his cell number because he apparently doesn't have an office phone. I went with FireSide Hearth and Home and couldn't be happier with not using Blue Sky. In response to the owner Dave's response. First. The customer is always right. It's pathetic you're bad mouthing a customer online. Shows just who you are. 2nd Why on earth would I stalk you I found you're replacement in two minutes on google. Dave lied and said I was harassing him. I put a photo screenshot on this review of my chat with David and his response in case he deletes his to my review. I texted within business hours and everything. You can see that I didn't text him months ago and he texted back within a few weeks not months ago like he says then just went dark. Also you'll see that he just lied in this review to all you customers. You can see he didn't block me and in fact read the texts as iMessages says on the screenshot. He ignored all my questions and then lied about it. I wonder why considering I just gave Fireside $8000. Dave I call you a LIAR and a con man. I'm so lucky you showed me this without wasting a dime on you. And yes I will enjoy my new Heat N Glow gas fireplace and liner. read more

The whole process was made easier by their professionalism and knowledge. We had extensive work done and they gave us a detailed estimate and photos of the damage they had found in our chimney. The crew was on time, efficient, and very personable. There were drop clothes everywhere and still when they had to come into the house, they removed their shoes! The crew answered our many questions and when the job was done, they shared photos of the repair work that they had done. We could not have been more pleased and have already recommended this company to our neighbors. Kudos to Donnie, James and Sam!! Thank you! read more

Jack did a very professional job cleaning and inspecting our chimney. We have used Blue Sky for all of our chimney services and have found their service to be excellent every time. They are a good value at reasonable prices. read more

Very impressed with the customer service attitude with this company. They called to confirm the appointment the day before. The day of the appointment they called to let me know that they might be delayed due to the severe weather. As it turned out, they were right on time. The day after the cleaning they called to follow on and sent me an email explaining what they had found in their inspection. The tech (Rico) was very thorough. He explained what the process was and how long it would take. Also, he covered the area with a cloth so there wasn't a mess. Very happy with the job they did and recommend these guys for your fireplace cleaning. read more

Blue Sky Chimney Sweeps I have nothing but praise for my interaction with Blue Sky Chimney Sweeps. Whoever selects personnel deserves more than a simple "Atta Boy." From Dave, the owner, through every contact at every step of the process until completion, I can report a continuous satisfaction bordering on amazement. The team of four men completely repaired everything from our fireplace in the living room to the open sky thirty feet above. The result was a full 20-year guarantee of functionality. Their pleasant personalities make the entire process comfortable and enjoyable for customers. The team of four: Donnie -- His knowledge, leadership, and work ethic are unmatched by anyone I have ever known. And I've been around for 81 years. His congenial personality gets it done, and I must compliment his leadership methods. You have a winner! Sam -- He is cut from the same cloth. His obvious respect for those he works with is evident, and Donnie places him in high regard. Mike -- Fairly new at the job; he is eager to learn, respectful, and responsive to requests from others. Like all the others, he has a pleasant personality and is actually joyful to be around and he seems tireless and eager to work. Cody--Like Mike, Cody is relatively new at the job. Like the others, he has a pleasant personality and seems tireless and eager to work. All in all, every one of these guys deserves special recognition for what they do. Mutual respect and similar work ethics make it seem like they have been together for years rather than weeks. YOU HAVE A SUPERB TEAM THAT WORKS WELL TOGETHER. read more

Poor workmanship on Chimney Cap and owner wouldn't stand behind repair warranty. Water has leaked through cap and damaged interior sheet rock. read more

I recently utilized Blue Sky for a chimney cleaning and an inspection. The person they sent was very professional and on time. The follow up is where I have the problem. Upon completion, the tech said they would email the results of the inspection with estimates on repair cracks. I knew it needed repairs and wanted an honest estimate of costs and a comprehensive overview of the issues. I emailed multiple times subsequent receiving a no bid because they "were too busy" and never received a response. I provided this information to another chimney repair provider and they said they couldn't make a definitive answer because the information Blue Sky provided wasn't comprehensive and lacked sufficient information. All said, in my opinion, if you want a chimney cleaning and nothing else I would use them. If you want anything more such as an inspection or repair information keep looking for another company. read more

The most unprofessional guys. They came and did my parents chimney and they messed up and didn't come back to fix it. My parents paid over a grand to have it done only to have to have another company come fix it and re-d it. These guys are not reliable and totally unprofessional, so don't waste your time. read more

Blue Sky came out today to clean my chimney today. Zach did a great job. He was very thorough with the cleaning and leaved no mess. His friendly service was much appreciated! I will definitely use them again. read more

Jesus was absolutely wonderful. The reason I don't recommend this business is because Jesus knocked off our weather cap while cleaning from the inside. I heard it get hit. I saw it in my lawn and asked him to pit it back on. He said he could not and we needed a new one and told me the owner would call me to give me prices. I also talked to the office girl and told her Jesus knocked off our weather cap while cleaning the chimney. The owner never did call me. My husband then purchased a new weather cap and installed it himself which was very dangerous due to the pitch of our roof. read more

I was at a friend's home and she had her chimney sweep and inspection. The service person was Mr. Josh. Josh was totally wonderful! He was very polite, considerate, patient & understanding and a total gentleman. He explained each task as he was performing it in FULL detail. He did not at all rush, he was open to questions and answered in easy to understand language. He did NOT at all rush. He explained the process of receiving the full itemized report in detail. I would highly recommend Josh, he was totally wonderful. Josh truly is a GREAT asset to your company so, keep him! read more

We had blue sky chimney sweeps clean our chimney today. Rico was on time, courteous, professional, and did a fantastic job! We went with blue sky after receiving a referral from a neighbor who experience the same excellent service. We will definitely use them in the future for our fireplace needs. read more

Blue Sky repaired the chimney when I bought my first home a year ago. Their estimate was about a thousand dollars cheaper than what my inspector thought the job would cost. On the day of the fix, they arrived early, kept my home and the foliage under the house clean/put together. They were efficient and the person who fixed the chimney explained fully what had been fixed with included pictures. I would absolutely hire them again. read more

After calling around the twin cities, I'm confidant these guys are the cheapest at $129. They were professional, on-time and had good communication. The basic sweep doesn't include the fancy inspecting cameras, which was fine for us. They left the house looking perfectly clean. Would call them again. read more

Impressed so far... visit was confirmed the day before by phone and an ETA text was sent day of the visit. The individual who did the cleaning and inspection (Rico) was on-time and very professional, and able to answer most questions. Very considerate of the COVID situation, mask worn, distancing was respected. Inspection included chimney exterior (on roof) and camera from inside... was told digital photos of both to be emailed within a day or two with estimate for work to be done. Since we don't use the fireplace for wood fires and simply needed an estimate for repair, was disappointed we had to pay for the cleaning and inspection to get the repair estimate, but understandable if necessary for thorough inspection... assuming so, the cost was very reasonable. Would recommend their services!! read more

Our fireplace had not been used since we moved into our home 3 years ago. We wanted it inspected before we used it and our daughter recommended Blue Sky. Rico was right on time. We were extremely impressed with Rico's professionalism and customer service. He was friendly and extremely competent. He cleaned up and there was no mess afterward. I would highly recommend this company. read more

My husband and I bought a new home in January of 2017. It is very old, built in 1890 and has a very long chimney. I got a recommendation off the Nextdoor App for Blue Sky.They had a special on cleaning and inspection, around $65. I was thrilled and had it scheduled immediately. The young guy that came to do the work was great and very professional. I received an estimate for $2925.00 to have a new liner put in. We could not afford to spend that amount right away as we were new homeowners. We saved our money, and I called them again this month-9/2018. They said they had to come out and re-inspect it to make sure nothing had changed, and it had been almost 2 years. Ok. This time it cost 182.56. I guess I really got a good deal before.. I just got my new estimate for the exact same thing-a new liner and this time it is $10,300!!I was told that the business has better trained masons now. That is TRIPLE the cost. I will NOT be able to afford it now. I am outraged that it could be this much more. read more

When they came out it was $150 for a sweep and a camera inspection of my chimney. After getting quotes from other chimney companies this was by far the lowest cost. They were on time, polite, and seemed very knowledgeable. Everything around my fireplace was perfectly clean when they left. They even went up on the roof to check out the chimney to make sure it was fine on the outside too. I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

Second time I've had Blue Sky clean the chimney. The professional cleaners were both diligent, thorough and cleaned up spotlessly. When the cleaner was running 15 minutes late, he gave me a courtesy call- I highly recommend this service. read more

Multiple problems with this company. The biggest was I had them come out for a bid on a home my client was purchasing. The seller was going to escrow money for repairs, so I communicated to estimate high and make sure we were covered. Any money not used would be returned to the seller. Once the money was escrowed I called Dave back and tried to schedule the work. He stated he would have to send someone out for a final estimate, so I agreed even though I thought it was a waste of time. Once the final estimate came back it was $400 higher than his original, because he stated he has to use scaffolding now. I gave him a second chance to reconsider as this roof was not a steep pitch at all, but he was unwilling to work with me and said I was acting like a "5 yr. old who spilled his milk". I contacted a few other companies and received bids that were lower than his original bids and both professionals told me it wouldn't even be possible to use scaffolding on this job. read more
