The day before I took it in, my air conditioner also stopped working so I asked him to take a look at that too. When I described what it was doing and showed him pictures from my phone app where it was drawing 60+ amps when the compressor tried to kick in he said there was a good chance the compressor was seized and it was going to need a new AC, but they'd go through it and see if there could be anything else. When I went to pick it up he had great news for me, it was only 2 capacitors that had gone bad. He could have sold me a new AC and I would have never doubted it, but his honesty in only replacing the capacitors was so impressive that he definitely has all my future business. That's the kind of guy I want to do business with and you should too!

When Sea-doo stopped making their jet boats, I couldn't find anyone other than where I bought the boat (2.5 hr drive from my home) to fix or maintain my Sea-doo 150 Speedster jet boat. Due to multiple circumstances, the boat unfortunately sat trailered and unused for the past 7 years, and definitely needed a refresh & couple of replacement parts before it was ready for the river again. So, no surprise I was SUPER excited and thankful to find Arteen and his shop, (especially only being a quick drive into Escondido)! He is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. On the way home I stopped by Havasu Powersports to see if I could get some answers on the poor performance. Arteen, the owner asked me a few questions, then recommended, new plugs, air filter and to drain some excess oil from the engine. I did all that he recommended, and can now say it runs like a brand new machine! Without question I would recommend Havasu Powersports if you need your PWC running as it should. New to the boat world I had no clue about how important the correct propeller was for performance…read more The boat I purchased had a 3 blade prop that made maneuvering at low speeds around the harbor difficult with poor handling. I spoke to owner Eddie on the phone and explained I was not happy with the low speed handling etc. He gave me a ton of great information, was very patient with all of my newbie questions and told me to come by with my current prop. I went to the shop which was clean and organized. Eddie pulled up RPM range for my motor, asked me few questions about loading the boat, primary use etc. and picked out a 4 blade prop. Installed the prop and it corrected low speed handling, better out of the hole and hookup. Can't say enough good things about Eddie, awesome guy to work with and knows what he is doing thank you!

My boat was sitting for approximately two years due to a surgery I had…read more I brought my boat to Daves Marine for the yearly service and replace my batteries.. I also saw a hose that I thought may need to be changed. Also my trailer brakes were not working. I expected to leave Daves Marine spending approximately $4000 due to all the issues my boat had at that time. A few days later, I received a call indicating that they were able to repair my brakes without replacing any parts which was great to hear. Dave also said the hose did not need to be repaired at this time but maybe in the future it would be a good idea. Dave completed the service on my boat, installed new batteries, replaced a surge pump and it's running great. I am pleased and feel lucky to have an honest boat mechanic That's not trying to rip me off every turn that they can. Daves Marine could have easily told there were things wrong with my boat that weren't ( surge brake parts, hoses, etc) and I probably would have paid to have them repaired. I love spending way less than I expected. Thank you to Dave and his wife for being such an honest business. Daves Marine has a lifetime customer as long as I live in California.
