We still catch a show at the Blue Room once in a while. A great comedy club venue and great environment. Sure, some of comedians can be a bit hit and miss...but so what...that's comedy and it isn't easy to pull I perfectly every time. I bought tickets a year ago to a show that was rescheduled four times with little notice. I was told they would give me a refund but I never received a refund. Nobody will reply to emails, texts, or phone calls. They are Impossible to get ahold of. They scam people out of their money by booking big names like Damon Wayons Jr but he never shows up and they don't refund your money. They lie and take your money. Other people have mentioned buying tickets but when they arrive someone else is performing instead of who they bought tickets for. I think this whole place is a scam and needs new management. read more

Saw Lavell Crawford, show was awesome but the service was terrible. Our waitress was incredibly rude with snarky comments and continually ignored us all night. It took her an hour to bring me my food and told me it was because food was served on a first come first basis, but my friend who ordered after me got his food within 10 minutes. Unfortunately I had to leave early and was forced to leave her a 20% tip, she did not deserve any tip. read more

We went for Adam Corrolla....great show!! The guy who met us at the door was very nice and even held a parking space for us! We had parked around the block and walked but upon arrival, a car directly in front of club opened so he offered to hold it for us while my husband went and got the car! The service in bar area was great and very friendly bartenders....however the service inside is lacking, at least with our server. We were never tended to after our first beverageand food order. We ordered carnitas sliders. The meat was fine, but our bun was burnt black and basically inedible. We will go again, hopefully they get better with food!!! read more

The comedians are great! But you pay for a ticket to sit at one of the tiniest tables known to man, shared by 4 grown people. You have to buy 2 items minimum off the menu which is fine, although the menu is limited like an elementary school lunch but then they charge you $10 for a drink and you can't even have a free glass of water. They're definitely ripping people off. Ask for your receipt when you're done bc they will charge 20% gratuity if you don't specifically ASK to see your receipt. They will state that it is in their policy to do this which is written nowhere visible other than a small sign on their register in the bar. read more

Saw Kevin Farley (Chris Farley's older brother, funny as f&%k!) here last night. This place is spectacular! Smaller stage / bar up front, and larger classic stand-up stage / theatre in the rear. Unfortunately, this beautiful spot is ruined by horribly rude the owners are. They rarely have the kitchen open when they advertise that they have food. The multiple times I have gone and ordered food from their menu they have said that 4 or 5 things aren't available so then I end up only ordering water, and then they're rude about it. I also wasn't checked in which meant I paid extra for good seats, that I didn't get to sit in. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Came in with the Lady for a nice night out. Sat at the regular tables. Since there were only 2 of us we had to sit with another couple. At a very very tiny table. We had ordered food before entering and kind of wish we hadn't. The table holds 4 drinks easily.. 2-3 ten inch plates and your going to be clinking plates with your neighbor. We definitely will be looking int the VIP tables. More room and while not bad seats. The comics were well worth the price of admission. Some where not to our taste but the headliner flat killed it. While we will be selective about our headliner we will certainly be back. The Good Fairly big named headliners. Lots of laughs. The Bad Just 2? Table sharing time. Tiny Tables. Service was poor. According to the waitress who finally did wait on us, our actual waitress was overwhelmed and there was confusion as to who was supposed to be waiting on us. Food was mediocre. Double check your ticket to make sure you are charged what is actually on the menu and expect to see some mysterious "handling fee" on your food bill. Won't be back. read more

The last show we saw was Godfrey and it was awesome. He and Artie Fuqua were great. The nachos were pretty good as was the pretzel bread and beer cheese. So, a 5 for the comedians (a 3 for the menu since some of the other items we've ordered in the past weren't very good. Too bad they couldn't bring the Billiards menu with them). But I give 5 stars because the most important part of the Blue Room IS the comedy! We go to the Blue Room every few months and always have a good time. The owner is always very gracious and makes you feel very welcome. Who'da thunk Springfield, MO would be able to get the caliber of comics that is does. read more

I am rating this a 1 star not due to entertainment, but for they club itself. Service is terrible. Food is terrible. The prices marked on the menu do not match what you are charged. I was told it was a tax which is total BS. Either the bartender is ripping off this club or you are gouging the prices and robbing the public. I read through other reviews, and others have has similar experience. This place needs a staff revamp. It's terrible that the entertainment coming here just doesn't match the venue. read more

Blue Room defies my expectations on a number of levels. The seating and overall ambiance of the establishment is head and shoulders above what's suggested by its location and outward appearance; service for both food and drink is prompt and as non-interruptive as can reasonably be expected; and the quality of entertainment being brought in would not be out of place at a comedy club in a much larger city. I have a terrible sense of humor, so I consider any standup act that can elicit so much as a chuckle from me to be one of cosmic excellence. And while I wasn't exactly rolling in the floor at the show I attended, I definitely laughed more often and more genuinely than I thought I would. Coming from a soulless curmudgeon, I can hardly imagine a better endorsement than that. read more

Not a shabby way to spend an evening! Took my lady friend and my sister and we had some good laughs. It was a bit hot in the venue for my taste, but I'm warm blooded so that could have just been me. Here is the email I sent to the club after visiting this place, they didn't find it important enough to even respond Unimpressed with the staff. Seems like you'd come up to my table and ask me to quiet down if I'm being louder than I should be. Not wait for me to go to the restroom and not let me back in my seat. Clearly I wasn't being unruly if I was offered a seat in the back. But I had purchased reserved seating in January so I should have been let back to my seat up front. When I politely said I'd sit there quietly, I was still not allowed to go back to my seat and when I did sit in the back quietly for a period of time, I asked again since I was being quiet if I could have my seat back but was denied. I'm really glad I drove 3 and a half hours to your club and spent all that money as a wedding gift to my brother and his fiancé to be treated like that. Will not be recommending this club to others at all. Simply put, I should have been told to stop being loud if I was being an issue instead of handling it the way they did. Very rude that I didn't even get a reply but what can I expect after how rude they were there after giving them about $400! Also, if you go to lowest ratings you can see the owner does not care about their customers as you read the responses he gives them. read more

My first experience was decent had more expensive table, dinner seating. Second show we had club seating. Waited til they called 5 minutes to show time so I walked out to the bar. Ordered Long Island for my wife and a Red Bull. $10.50, wife told me it was not right but she finished it. We finally got a server short dark completed girl, not to happy to be there ask "what do you need"since the first Long Island did not taste right we ordered a top shelf, menu states a double shot premium during at $9.50 she comes back and says $29 I paid it and won't be back, entertainment is great, but was raped for this drink, never again. read more

Great place for local folks to see traveling comedians. They bring comics from LA and NY. Their customer service is second to none and they really take their time to bring great comedians. the space is intimate and is actually shared with a fun room filled with pool tables and such. the tables are either high tops or regular and seat functionally. when the place catches on, the seats will become more comfy at the high tops. any decoration is simple and tasteful--a poster here, mini-lights on the blue tablecloths as a centerpiece--and do not distract from why you are there. you're not there to be cute and you're not there to be chi-chi. you are there to see comedy! the acts brought the laughs in varying degrees of intensity--sadly i have forgotten the names of the first acts. but they did what they had to do, which was get the stage warm for tim northern, the night's headliner. northern did a great show and kept everyone rocking with laughter. northern was quick to remind the audience that springfield is ripe for standup--and who knows? with time and good local comic talent to keep the heat, he might be right! read more
