I was simply looking for a spot to grab a quick drink, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Cozy, intimate, and with an impressive selection of tequilas, it instantly felt like the kind of place you want to linger. The bartender, Nick, was not only kind but incredibly knowledgeable--he gave us thoughtful recommendations for both drinks and food that hit the mark perfectly. On top of that, he made the experience even better with a genuinely pleasant conversation. If you ever find yourself in the area--whether you happen to drive by or are scrolling through reviews like this one--do yourself a favor and stop in. You'll leave thrilled with the experience, just like I did.

We enjoyed our time at this bar, trying several different drinks and bites to eat. The atmosphere was simple and inviting with dining tables and bar seating available (including multiple outlets and hooks for purses), plenty of tequila on the shelves, blue lighting of course, and quite a few hidden bunnies to be found. Service was friendly and attentive, and the waits for our food and drinks were reasonable, considering there were only a few people inside on a Monday evening. We had the rabbit margarita, ultima palabra, sol sangra, beef empanada, native tostada with asada, and street taco with fried cauliflower. All of these items were delicious. The drinks were made well and had a good amount of alcohol. My fave was the rabbit margarita. The empanada filling was made up of tasty shredded beef and melted cheese, no other ingredients besides garnish on top and the mild sauce that came on the side. The crunchy fry bread of the native tostada was stacked with toppings, full of flavor, even if a bit salty. The street taco was good too, we finished every last bite. We asked for hot sauce, and the staff explained that they had a salsa which turned out to be a pickled chili pepper and onion mix, it was quite good.

    Queso fundido without the queso...

I came here for a birthday celebration and I have to say that the drinks were very very good. It's a nice cool spot and when I came in here, I was looking forward to having a couple of drinks and a meal. However, the food wasn't so great. First, we got the Chicharrones with guacamole. The guacamole tasted good, but there wasn't enough. It came in a cute little Belgium fry contraption and if it had a dip that was one thing, however, this guacamole was a bit chunky and I had to use a spoon to put it onto my out my chicharrón. Also, the guy next to us was eating this and it smelled really bad. So I don't know how fresh they were but something was wrong with that. Next, I ordered the queso fundido. Unfortunately, it was a bean dip with chips. Have they told me that I would not have been as disappointed as I was. But I was very disappointed. So I didn't have a lot of food so I never ordered my second drink. But my drink was good And I really liked it. My husband ordered the Michelada and he liked that as well. But our plan was to go next-door and get some pupusa, however, they were closing and we didn't get to eat. I will go there again for a drink. I will not get any food from them because it just wasn't good.. The ambience is cool and they have a really good vibe. I love the smooth, cool lighting inside. I really loved the tables where we sat. And it is definitely a neighborhood place. The people who came in stayed for a while and enjoyed themselves. But I know that if I go there for a drink That I will have to eat something somewhere else before I come in. I understand that this guy has some other food places and they are pretty well and I'm confident that they'll have their food game. But for now there's nothing in there I wanna eat. I do want to leave with one piece of advice and that is that if you're gonna say that you have a queso fundido it actually needs to have queso in it and if it doesn't, you need to tell people. Because we have expectations and when they aren't met, that is very disappointing!

Habanero crème brûlée, Oaxacan Old Fashioned

Very cool little place in an unassuming mini mall. They have a beautiful shelf of bottles, and a solid menu of both drinks and food. Service was friendly and low key. I got the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, a variation on the traditional drink with mezcal instead of bourbon and mole bitters instead of the usual, and it was very good and a little spicy in a nicely pleasant way. To go with it, I ordered the habanero crème brûlée, which was well made and a generous serving (5-inch dish, about half an inch thick). You could easily split this across 2-4 people, because it can be spicy af (any individual nibble might just take you down). Really a fun dessert. I don't want to say something like "this is the coolest bar in San Pablo", because that ain't saying much. It's just a straight up cool bar.

Amazing new addition to Richmond/San Pablo!! Very cool ambiance and friendly service as soon as you open that red door. The food and drinks did not disappoint! Every cocktail we tried was so delicious and you could taste the alcohol, not too strong. Loved the Esmeralda (sweet), the Sol Sangra (flavorful with a twist), and Tiki Mamacita (a fun sweet margarita). Basically any drink we ordered made us happier and happier lol. Food was delicious and great portions! Enjoyed the nachos (perfectly loaded), beef empanadas with a yummy spicy sauce, queso fundido, and crème brûlée with a twist (spicy AF), and churros (warm and sweet with caramel and chocolate sauce) for dessert. Life is good at Blue Rabbit Bar! Oh there's also outside barstool seating ready for overflow or if you a cool outdoor experience while you vibe. Bathroom is clean and spacious in the back of the bar. Parking is limited, it's right in the middle of the plaza so come early or expect to look for street parking.

First impression is "location" would be one of the reasons u may turn around. But Stop, come into the plaza, find a parking spot and head in...you will be greeted by Matt & Fed to make you feel like u are in an other place. But in reality you off 23rd in the Rich let's be real. It's bold, new, & unique. Food delicious Ambiance delicious Cocktails delicious and very unique UNIQUE TEQUILA

First time I've ever wanted to gate keep because boy is this a hidden gem! This is the second time I've been influenced to come out to Richmond/San Pablo for a new spot, but unlike another spot this place met and exceeded expectations. So glad there's a lounge with good eats in the area. Spot is in an unassuming plaza with a small parking lot, but in the middle of the week twas no issue. Came to catch up with an old friend and we both left pleasantly surprised, starting with seating. They have a window bar with stools literally outside which made me think this could be a dog friendly out there but not certain. Anyway we chose to eat inside and ordered food and drinks. Everything was delicious ... the queso fundido, the tomatillo soup, the slushies... I'd reorder all of them but truth be told I probably won't just to taste what else is good. Will definitely be back and can't wait!

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. My husband and I finally made it in on a Saturday night. It was pretty full and continued to fill up while we were there. Definitely date night vibes. It look a while to get served since there was only one server. The server was nice and answered the questions we had and gave us some suggestions. The drinks are very good they do not skimp on the alcohol. The mezcal mango slushy shot was my favorite. The tiki mamacita was good too My husband enjoyed the Oaxacan old fashioned. We tried the chicken slider, queso fundido, street taco we enjoyed all of them but the portions are small, snacks not a meal unless you are ordering quite a few things. The llorona salsa is extra hot my husband loved it. Nice place to hang out we will definitely be back. That mezcal mango slushy is definitely calling me to go back.

Absolutely stoked there's a new bar in San Pablo! This spot has delicious drinks and food. I love their frozen cocktails, which are mango mezcal or tequila passionfruit. Delicious even in the winter! I also had some good bites here, the spicy salsa and chips and fundido hit the spot. This place is also a great date night spot with low lighting and chill vibes, or a good place to grab a quick drink while you wait for your laundry (there's a laundromat in the same complex.) please check it out!

Love the vibe @BlueRabbitBar in Richmond. Delicious food. The bartender, Subass, makes a great cocktail and is very welcoming.

Macario cocktail on the left and Aji Fuego on the right. Churros cut in mini sizes. Chips and green salsa.

I decided to venture out of my normal neighborhoods to check out this new bar. It's in this small corner area of shops, just look for the rabbit + leaves light. It's actually a blend of outdoor indoor because the whole front wall opens to the outside. We missed the happy hour but got the macario and aji Fuego cocktails which were pretty good. Churros came out warm and I actually liked the caramel sauce better than the chocolate sauce. Chips and salsa gives you 4 options of salsa to choose from. It's worth a visit if you're close by.

    Bone Marrow.

First and foremost this is a vibe of a place to go to if you live in the area. Limitations in parking and suspect people walking around in the parking lot. My wife and I went at about 8pm on 2/21/2025. To start I will say drinks: 9/10 ambiance: 9/10 EVERYTHING ELSE GOES DOWN HILL. Please look at the photos and video of my $17 Bone Marrow that I literally ate with two chips. It had no marrow whatsoever. But I'm not really one to complain about it rather bring it to attention to our waitress. She asked did I want to do a bone shooter (a tequila shot with the bone) and I told her I can't because this bone doesn't go all the way through and barely had anything in it. Her response: "Dang you got a bad bone"! And walked off. After this: Our waitress had her own date apparently. Her significant other sat next to us, and in front of everyone opened a bag with weed and gummies and asked her if she wanted one....she said yes! He ordered them a plate of tacos, once they arrived, she immediately sat or stood next to us and began to eat. Now I'm an understanding individual and everyone gets a break. But from a customer service perspective it would be nice to have your waitress tell you she is doing just that. Now my wife and I have the awkward moment of seeing who was going to take our next round of drinks. After sometime, one gentleman asked if we wanted something else and by that time we found it best to take our business elsewhere. In all I would come back to this place for drinks and socializing. I would never order food again, and I would avoid the waitress I had altogether.

There's great ventilation, and it's just quite honestly a great space to chill with friends, and also observe all the fun Richmond memorabilia. We also sat in the outdoor space, a super nice garden area that is well-kept and a great option to enjoy on these beautiful sunny days. I had a watermelon margarita and it was so fresh & tasty, I thought it was already summer! Friendly staff and environment filled with regulars and newcomers alike. They seem to have food trucks regularly, and we ordered food to-go from the Brazilian truck outside. Deliciously unique! There's also a few spots nearby you can bring food in from (an ice cream/waffle shop next door and Tacos El Tucan too). We took a ride share, but street parking is available. The chocolate cake was so fresh, rich, and decadent we almost couldn't believe it with chocolate syrup on the plate to deepen the chocolate flavor when several layers of iced cake was dragged through it.
