My husband just had major back surgery so was not able to do this repair himself so we called Michael. He first came out in Feb and charged $200 for a service call said he had to get some special silicone for a spa. repair; he came back charged us another 170 put the silicone on and left. It did not work we contacted him again. He said he had to order a new part, first said they sent the wrong part then April 14, said the right part came in he would be here tomorrow. He still has not been back. He has never called or came back, it is May 11th, so for $370 got nothing. Bad bad business unless you want to pay for something and get nothing I do not recommend this person/business. Do yourself a favor call someone else.

I once had a house cleaner show up, hoping for a nice, once a year, thorough cleaning. She cleaned with one hand, while talking on her phone with the other. Why am I telling you this? Maybe just to illustrate that the old axiom "It's tough to find good help these days," is alive and well on the Space Coast. Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Again he thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." The very next day our pool was gorgeous. Since then, the pool has never been less than crystal clear and inviting. Plus Brandon remains punctual, polite, and communicative beyond expectation. The only reason I would ever stop using Space Coast Pools is if I die or move to a house without a pool. Even then I might call them!

My Apex pool build started approximately June 2020 and was completed in September. Bottom line:…read moreAfter a year, I am very satisfied with the quality of my pool. Apex did a beautiful job. Additionally, Apex has exceeded my expectations in regards to fixing after-final -construction issues. Some Details: 1 Competitive pricing. Apex quote came in at the same price as other lower-rated pool companies and 20% less than similarly rated companies. 2. Apex has their own people. I experienced a consistent quality of work and predictable timetable. Each phase of my build project was handled by a different group of people. Every single person in every phase took pride in their work; were friendly and professional. Roddy Brown my construction manager 95% of the time answered his phone and provided clear answers to any questions. I called Roddy one day AFTER the build was complete. He answered the phone even though he was home recovering from a serious illness. On another occasion, I called the Apex office when it was closed on a Saturday. The office manager Julie, answered the call and helped me EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD COME IN TO CATCH UP ON WORK AND THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED!!!! WOW. 3. Another plus with Apex is that they are a paver contractor. It was easy to pick out our pavers because they use their parking lot as the paver display. Large sections of each paver type so that you can get a clear idea of what the pavers look like. Apex did an amazing job on our pool hardscape. 4. The pool build is a long process. The most agonizing part is the initial permiting that was at least 4-plus weeks. Nothing Apex could do about that. Many steps and many inspections. Apex provided a project sheet outlining each phase of the build process. Additionally, it seemed like they had good coordination with the local inspectors because we never had to wait too long to get and inspector in to review their work. 5. I got feedback from the local inspector that APEX was a quality pool company and seldom had inspection issues. He mentioned that another pool company was doing a job in our neighborhood and they had a long list of issues. Throughout the multiple inspections that were conducted, I think the inspector had one item on the punch list for correction. 6. After the build was completed, the last person I interacted with was "The Pool Lady". Her job was to train me on taking care of my pool. She came in initially to get the water chemistry right and to go through all the steps to keeping my water and pool in great shape. I think she did 3-4 separate visits. She was very thorough and helpful (I have never owned a pool). With her training, I was confident that I could do my own pool chemistry. A year later, my pool water is crystal clear. Based on discussions with other new pool owners the Apex Pool Lady was a star. She really knew her stuff. 7. Finally I want to reiterate the exception after-the-build response to questions and issues. I called several times with equipment issues (not related to Apex). I was shocked that Apex responded that same day multiple times. I think once I waited a day. I was pleasantly surprised with their response.

I am very pleased with that part of the job. HOWEVER, in patching the work area holes, the bag said the mortar was tan. My deck is concrete grey. I pointed that out to the worker. He looked me in the eye and said that when it dried it will perfectly match. I have painted a house before that the paint color did not look right while applying it, but turned the right color after it dried so, I accepted his assurance. However, It remains TAN, When I called them back to share that the color is still tan, the worker told me to redo it would mean that it would not be as level or look as good as it is now so, to not have a trip hazard on the pool deck, I left it as is, a TAN patch.
