I think I first heard about the Blue Man Group when I was a young teen. We were in Las Vegas, and I think we decided to see a show by Circ Du Soleil instead. My dad was the one who got to make the decision, but I also think at the time the Blue Man Group was more expensive which was probably one of the motivating factors. We were given free tickets by the New England USO which was awesome, and we made a date night of it by making a dinner reservation at Ostra down the street. We also took advantage of the discount rate for the parking garage and made that parking reservation online for like $10. When we arrived, there was a waiting line outside for people to get wanded and get bags checked. I thought it was interesting there was a guy in the line ahead of us who freaked out because he either had drugs or a weapon with him and made a big stink that he was going to be searched before he and his party could go in. Humans. Once inside, we made our way upstairs and to our seats. We are giants, and found the seats to be extremely squished and uncomfortable. The others next to us were so close, we all got super warm just by simple proximity. The show was inventive and unique. We found it very clever, and enjoyed it overall. I did feel like some of it was a bit bland and dragged out, but for sure I'm glad that we didn't sit in the "poncho section" where they literally turned the hose on them. It did feel like there was a mix of adult and juvenile humor, and it was very loud. The facility itself was nothing special, and the bathrooms were direly small for how many people it serves. The addition of multiple bars was smart, but I didn't see really that many people drinking at this particular show. I'm not sure that I would have paid full price for this show, but for the free tickets, it was a worthwhile experience. It might be that it has been playing for so long, it is a little overplayed. That said, it was a good date night, and we enjoyed ourselves.

Ron C. (Hi RONNNN!!!!) made me write a review for this even though I saw this years ago, since he just went to see the one in Vegas. So here I am, writing a review for something I did years ago...weird. Sorry peeps. Anyway, I took my husband (at the time, he was my boyfriend) to see this show after I took him to a very expensive dinner in Boston's Little Italy (the North End) and we loved it! We got great seats in the house and I don't think you can get a bad seat since it's almost like stadium seating. I had my husband's name on the marquee to shout him out for his birthday and of course, they teased him and said "Happy 7th Birthday, to Keith W" haha. The show was phenomenal and you're on the edge of your seat the entire time! The beats were great and it was hilarious as well as creative! I would recommend seeing it more than once and if you're up in the front row, make sure you tie your poncho on tightly, you wouldn't want paint on your clothes, it takes forever to scrub it off. In the end, I love how the toiley paper started unraveling and we're just pulling on it and by the end of the show, there's tons and tons of toilet paper in the stadium, it was a great laugh. We were lucky enough to grab a picture with my husband's favorite Blue Man.

Visited the blue man group show in boston on my trip to us. What i liked: -very interactive -more of an experience than a show -great for a night out with friends or with kids However, i nearly fell asleep. Apart from some man in blue drumming, it did not really entertain me. Luckily show is only 1.5hrs.

Total disappointment. I saw this group in Chicago about 10 years ago and it was excellent. The Boston theater was small, the rain jackets were a waste of time, there was too much wasted time wondering in the audience and not enough of the drum and paint splatter. It was really geared down for children, and it actually reminded me of a children's TV program. $200 down the drain!

Words cannot describe what it feels like to be called on stage, in front of your new employer and 50 of his friends, and have banana junk regurgitate from your stomach while eating twinkies with three painted blue men. I'm finally Blue Man Group devirginized after 3 years in Boston and I must say, their show is INSANE. I told you, words cannot describe the overly kitsch, play with their kitsch, kind of freaking awesome music and pop-culture, riff on contemporary art history bull-shit and under 18 club rage party that the Blue Man Group produces in a 2 hour show. Spend the money. Get drunk. And don't make eye contact with the scary blue man when he comes to the audience, or you could be me...the girl called on stage who will always be remembered. Such great memories Yelp, thank you guys, thank you.

The antithesis of highbrow art: Twinkies, toilet paper, karaoke -- and obviously, the most fun you'll ever have at the theater.

One of the funniest shows I've seen. The smartly wacky humor along with innovative and inventive music creates a huge winner.

Venue was smaller, but intimate. Great throughout, but splash zone was awsome. Very entertaining.

Lots of fun and difficult to describe to others. Kind of a comedy/drumming show with lots of skits. Great for a crowd in their 20s-30s.

Came here on opening day with the Yelp Squad. I. Was. A. Kid. In. A. Candy. Store. Everything was new. Everything was exciting. The shows may be generalized into aerobatic, aerial, and circus performances, with a twist. Live music accompanies most of them. Part of it reminded me of Fuerza Bruta. Part of it reminded me of the Once popular, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (without the animals). There are different bands that performs, a solo operatic singer, and meanwhile, creatures walking amongst while they perform. The second night I went (the night after the first), we had VIP seating and ate in the VIP section. The food was phenomenal. There was tacos, guac, Hors d'oeuvres of sashimi, shrimp, and steak. Endless champagne, beer, and wine. Private bathrooms. A gift bag at the end of the night. Parking closest to the gate. This was the first Cirque du Soleil and it got me hooked. I'm excited to see what the company will think of next.
