On the scheduled day the crew showed up promptly as promised and worked quickly to remove the old shingles. By mid day the crew was replacing needed areas of sheathing and started laying the water protection barrier, then the shingles. I was amazed at how well the team worked together. It was obvious that they were a working team. Professional, efficient, and courteous would describe this company. John is the owner of the company and is totally hands on. He came out to my house and measured and promptly provided an est. with several options with varying prices depending on the choice of materials. He guided me through the process and was on site working along side of his crew, inspecting the sheathing and allowing me to get on the roof to show me his findings. Now there are several other charges for warranty repairs (including diagnostic fees, parts shipping, and warranty paperwork processing). In our opinion this business is not honest and trustable. There is nothing in the 2 page extended warranty contract from the manufacturer about warranty processing or paperwork fees. Warranty parts and delivery of parts are free to the dealer from the distributor in Melbourne. There is nothing in the warranty about diagnostic charges. However a dealer is apparently free to impose any charges they like if the wish to gouge the customer. We paid $6833 for a 3 tone AC system with 12 year extended warranty parts and labor, Air care system must get a big commission for this price. One can only hope that the dealer who made a big profit selling the system would show some appreciation, and take care of the customer in the future.

I called Can-Am Roofing when they first opened on Monday morning. General Manager, "Jamie Steen," was on site within two hours of my call. The weak link in the roof is the chimney and, based upon decades of problem-solving, was Jamie's first thought. Jamie inspected via the attic and saw the water leak path from the chimney, down a girder, to a light fixture in the kitchen. Then Jamie inspected the chimney, as well as the whole roof. During all facets of the inspection, Jamie provided me with a running commentary and photographs. Jamie then provided an estimate with details of the repair. Today, Thursday, Jamie and his team, "Hector" and "William," completed the repairs, and improved on other facets of the chimney.
