One of the worst decisions we have ever made was to contract with Total Home Roofing. They were supposed to replace our flat roof, including add slope to the portion that was totally flat. The NEW flat roof has puddles on it when it rains - see photos. They also let water into our house while the roof was off - they are refusing to fix the damage because we have a plaster ceiling rather than drywall. The office is clueless, every time I call, I have to repeat the same story. Today I was flat out told that there are no updates, and that the crew said they had already been by to fix the issues. They absolutely have not. The foreman for our job, Ray, was not only incredibly condescending and rude, but he also signed off that the job was done to code, for the permit. That seems fraudulent - the slope cannot be correct if there are puddles on the roof. They did a poor, messy job, complete in only 1.5 days after they told me it would take a week. Left a huge mess in our yard and driveway. Ray told us that roofing is a messy job and we should be grateful that we didn't have a shingle roof, because that's even messier. And don't worry, while no one from the office can be bothered to call us back, the billing department has called many times to get us to pay for our incomplete, incorrect roof.

Before anyone thinks of using this . Company contact me and I will share .my experience with this company.would never recommend them to anyone. I would not even give them one star.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!! It is currently April 7, 2021. I signed my contract for a new tile roof in November 2020, and I still do not have a completed roof. Total Home Roofing is only good at 2 things, high pressure sales techniques and avoiding responsibility for all of its mistakes. Let's start with the tear off that occurred 2 weeks later than promised (late February 2021 despite a November 2020 contract date) resulting in my homeowners insurance dropping me (and allowing me 30 days to reinstate the policy if the roof was done). I told Total Home Roofing about this and was assured it would be complete long before the 30 day deadline. Total Home Roofing then told me the roof tiles were ready for delivery around March 1, 2021 and a crew would be installing them within a day or two of delivery. Tiles were not delivered until two weeks later, and no crew showed up to install them. I called Jon the "project supervisor" which is clearly a title given to anyone, because he did not supervise anything and was 100% useless/clueless. A crew finally showed up and did the install only to be 3 tiles short. YES, 3 tiles because they did not want to spend the money to order enough. I was then told that they needed to order the 3 tiles and it would take A COUPLE WEEKS!!! As such, they could not get the final inspection I needed for my insurance. Once again I called Jon and was told "my hands are tied" and there is "nothing I can do." WHAT A JOKE HE IS. Finally!!!! The 3 tiles are delivered and installed and the inspection is called in by Jon and the "project supervisor" again the "PROJECT SUPERVISOR " who proceeds to fail to include the proper affidavits or documentation required for inspection so we FAILED inspection thanks to the project idiot Jon, who by the way had NO CLUE it failed until I told him and sent him a picture of the handwritten notes from the inspector basically calling him an idiot. As of 2 days ago, the day we failed inspection, I was told Jon would fix his mistakes and inspection would be today. I contact the building department and no inspection is scheduled. I called Total Home Roofing and they again were clueless. To date, the affidavits are not completed, Jon has not contacted me, and the company could not care less. At this I will conclude this review the way I started it by warning anyone reading this to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!

    Dumpster removal on day 2.

Horrible experience. Communication was almost non-existent. On Day one they delivered a dumpster and only used a 2x4 under the wheels. With the weight of the ceramic tiles, the 2x4 collapsed and caused damage to our paver driveway. On day 2, when the dumpster was removed, they snowplowed a portion of our driveway and caused significant damage. They have dodged communication with us and keep insisting that the "warranty department" should be handling it. They came back with a shoddy solution to "patch" our driveway since our pavers are now longer available. I don't think it's fair for us to settle for a mis-matched driveway because of their neglect to reinforce the dumpster properly. This situation was completely unavoidable and they are unwilling to make this right or negotiate a reasonable solution.

Long read but worth it if you're wanting an honest review…read more  Wed 8/13 was our start date for our new roof. Tues 08/12 we had the materials dropped off and a dumpster which was dropped off in front of our garage blocking in our mode of transportation. We were not notified of this prior or at the time of the drop off so we can make arrangements. There was also tire marks from the tow vehicle which broke a section of our driveway. The project was started on the 13th and the workers were using our plants as a clothesline for dirty sweaty clothing. Besides that and some minor trash left in our yard the work was excellent and done fast. On Thur 8/14 I texted the company about our trapped vehicle and asked when they could move the dumpster as it was blocking my wife in and our vehicle we use. I was told it was going to be passed along. Fri 8/15 the roof was "mostly" done except for a garage vent due to the part not showing up. When the project was done for the day the site manager spoke to my wife where he apologized for the dumpster and even said that it was full day 1 and should have been collected already. He mentioned how they had been trying to reach the company to move it since Thur with no luck. I explained we were supposed to be going out of town for my wife's bday and needed the vehicle but was told there was nothing that could be done. No offer from the company for any correction or fixing of the situation. Sat went by with no update or movement of the dumpster. Sun and there was again no update or movement. I then reached out to the company again who told me the dumpster company said they would "try" to get there Sat (which didn't happen). I explained to them some sort of arrangement was going to have to be made so we could get to work etc. I was finally able to get ahold of the dumpster company myself who alleged he was not notified to pick up the dumpster until 3pm Fri 8/15. He told me I could do what I needed to do (as in towing it myself and I could bill G&G). The tow company then came and retrieved the dumpster on Mon 8/18. After all this I took the time to walk the property and found some of my wife's plants were taken (cleanly cut/taken) despite her GIVING them some for free beforehand. As well as material bags/trash near our pool enclosure and the cable cord from removing our dish just freely hanging at head level where they clearly didn't want to use a ladder to cut it from the soffit. We had a tire that was punctured by a left nail. Also was told by the inspector that they covered my dryer vent and they had to forcefully open it as in the state it was done there was a risk of a fire/clog.  Due to all this, I contacted the manager Jamie. Jamie came out himself and tried to right the situation and offered kind words. Jamie then advised he would look into some compensation or reimbursement via taking a small amount off the final bill which was originally 18,710 (500 was paid at time of signing and 18,210 was outstanding). When I got the invoice it was showing 18,310 out standing as they had extra material used. I again contacted Jamie who then adjusted the final invoice to be 18,181 which ended up being just about the same as what WOULD have been due. I informed them I needed certain documents that insurance requested prior to payment (like final inspection, wind mitigation etc) and took multiple follow ups over a couple of weeks. Once I got a response I was told they needed to come back out as the photographs that SHOULD have been in the system was not on their end. They would then be in touch to get me the requested forms and I would give payment. A couple more weeks passed and Once received, I explained due to all the circumstances I did not feel the wrongs were righted and paid my invoice (October 27th) Overall the work looks great and the price is competitive. The initial estimate/estimator (Justin) process was by far the best of the other company's we had come out. But the other circumstances and lack of responsibility or accountability makes me drop what otherwise would have been a great (5 star) review.
