I feel sick. Currently it is 01:43am on a Saturday morning. I have never used yelp, nor do I ever plan to in the future. If you are reading this review in 2017 you will realise I am a man of my word.
There used to be a fish and chip shop which went by the name of the blue lagoon in a small town called Dumbarton about 14 miles outside of Glasgow. In typical small town fashion the people if Dumbarton enjoy the cuisine of chips and cheese, pakora and sweet and sour chicken amongst other westernised dishes. The blue lagoon shut down, it was that bad. In a country where deep fried food is king, in a small town of diabolical culinary taste it closed, It really was horrible.
Being honest, I was unfortunate to experience the blue lagoon in Dumbarton so when I was walking from the pub tonight to the train station it beggars belief why upon seeing a blue lagoon in Glasgow that I entered the premises. Surely it is coincidence? Surely this place cannot produce such shite as it's namesake from out of town, many years ago? Curiosity got the better of me. I ordered a supper, what kind is irrelevant surely.
I wandered to the station, with each bite I questioned surely it'll taste better with the next, surely it cannot remain this bad. I was wrong. It was horrible. I'm now lying in bed feeling sick. I've downloaded the yelp app and created an account solely to warn people of how horrible this chippy is. Even if I can get my message across to one person and divert their cash to an alternative fast food provider my work will not be in vain.
There are other blue lagoon establishments throughout the city. It worries me that they may be owned by the same people. Surely not? Although you can be rest assured I'll never set foot in another blue lagoon again, unless it is an Icelandic geothermal spa. Even then I'll have my reservations based on past experiences.
A horrible, horrible take away. Eat your money, it will be far tastier read more
