My new eyebrows and eyeliner.
Daphne C.

Super happy to find a local spa that provides great Eyebrow Microblading service. Eva is very experienced and professional. I was so impressed with her skills and very satisfied with my new eyebrows and decided to get my eyeliner done on the same day. Highly recommended Eva! 三年多前在台灣做的繡眉,都快掉光了,又沒機會回台灣,終於在Palo Alto找到專業繡眉師Eva, 做了"霧眉", 還有"美睫眼線",超滿意的,我覺得比我在台灣做的還讚!大推!

I've always been a little hesitant to try something new, but last year I was having some major health issues and a friend encouraged me to try acupuncture. I was introduced to Yaping, the owner and we discussed my issues as well as my hesitation and nervousness on trying acupuncture. She was very patient and attentive and it wasn't long before she settled my nerves and we tried a few needles. I soon realized there wasn't anything to be afraid of and within hours of treatment I could already feel a difference to my health. Since that first visit, I've gone back to see her several times for different health issues: allergies, blood pressure, anxiety, menopause and gastrointestinal problems. I've been amazed at the results and feel so much healthier and am now a true believer in holistic therapy vs taking medicine, having a bunch of tests run that may or may not give the right answers or being told that surgery is the answer. Yaping is a wonderful acupuncturist and really cares about your health and helping you to feel your best and the environment there is very tranquil. With the gentle music playing, the quiet peace and the heat lamps ( optional), I am transported into a meditative, relaxing state. It's a truly tranquil and positive experience.

For starters, she dove deep into my medical history/records, ensuring she captured all the details correctly and missed nothing. I was surprised she remembered every small detail I had told her, given that my issue is a 7-year-old neuropathy + CRPS combo. Due to the complexity of my condition, she tried different Chinese medicine approaches and strategies. I have no doubt other practitioners would have dismissed me as a patient (and they actually did) because of not seeing quick results. Instead, she proactively consulted mentors and trusted colleagues to get feedback and other perspectives on my condition. Thanks to Amara's not giving up and her continued treatment, I can now enjoy a lower pain level phase and just have an easier day-to-day life. It makes a huge difference to my family and me. On top of my chronic issue, I once woke up with very scary tunnel-syndrome-like symptoms in my good limb. I really freaked out because I could not afford to lose any more function or tolerate any more pain. Fortunately, I was seeing Amara that same day. To my astonishment, she got rid of the issue in that one session. Boom. Symptoms fully gone the morning after. I really could not believe it. I thought I would need to embark in another never-ending healthcare nightmare. Had I known Amara when my neuropathy + CRPS first started, my last 7 years would have been so different... All of the above would already make an outstanding healthcare experience. However, what definitely sets Amara apart is that SHE CARES. As a patient, I never felt like a number, a checklist, or a protocol sheneeded to get over with. It does make a difference to her if I am in more or less pain, if something in my week flared up my symptoms, whether my camping trip impacted my pain, and so on. And she'll do whatever she can to help me. I am so grateful to Amara. I just hope that more people in pain out there can get to her practice much sooner than I did.

I don't often write reviews on Yelp, but after consulting with Dr. Wu a couple of times for old…read moreinjuries left over from my days of competitive tennis, I feel compelled to leave a review. Over the years, as an ex-athlete, I've tried both Western as well as Eastern medicine to keep my body in tip-top shape for competition, and overall health. In my personal experience, Eastern medicine combining chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and thermal healing has tremendously improved blood circulation as well as promoting accelerated health (think Wolverine healing prowess). While there are merits to Western medicine for certain things, I'm still a firm believer that Eastern medicine is still the most effective. Now onto Dr. Wu. Unlike any chiropractor or acupuncture specialist I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot of different ones over the years, let me tell you), Dr. Wu focuses on the source and root cause of ailments; as opposed to what is PERCEIVED to be the area of discomfort. There's also never any forceful movements. His approach to healing is gentle, not brute force. Think soft-fist technique as opposed to potentially introducing more pain, just to cover up other areas. A lot of other therapists will purposely cause pain elsewhere, so you forget about the originating discomfort; and is a trick to make you THINK they've resolved your problems. That is, until the coming days, when you realize the old problems are still there... Case in point: I've had an annoying golfer's elbow on-and-off for years on end. Even with adequate rest, stretching, proper warm-ups, and strengthening regimen on the side, pain/numbness just would not go away. That is until I consulted Dr. Wu about it. Surprisingly, the culprit was not in the muscles, tendons and ligaments surrounding the elbow itself. Those are just the irritated areas CAUSED by the root problem, kind of like collateral damage. The real problem resided in pressure points in the chest/pectoral area, most likely caused by sleeping positions/patterns and bad habits built up over time; plus repetitive motion during tennis. Over time, this obviously takes a toll, and my body was crying for help. After just a hour-long session with Dr. Wu, my years of frustrating elbow discomfort were purged by 90%. Now of course, there's no such thing as immediate full recovery, since there's scar tissues, etc. and so it'll still take some time to COMPLETELY heal up. But let me tell you this, even after just half a week, I'm able to add another 10-20mph to my serve. I average about 100-110mph serves, and I'm only 5'8" relatively scrawny guy, definitely not a body builder or anything like that. It was my parents that originally introduced me to Dr. Wu after their shoulder, back, and hip pains were relieved, after just one or two sessions. Appointments with Dr. Wu is money well-spent, let me tell you that. That is, if he's not too busy to schedule you in ;) Albeit, I've personally never had any problems with scheduling. He's quite accommodating when it comes to appointments. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

What makes Sachi so exceptional is how thorough and attentive she is. She keeps track of all the medical information I share with her, remembers the details, and thoughtfully adjusts my treatments based on exactly where I am in the process. She supported me throughout IVF - from preparing for my embryo transfer, to the transfer itself, and then all the way through pregnancy. My doctor recommended I receive acupuncture before my embryo transfer. I wish I had started during egg retrieval. Interestingly, the one time I went through an embryo transfer without seeing Sachi, the embryo did not implant. When preparing for my next transfer, I compared what I did the first time that worked. I kicked myself when I remembered that during my previous successful pregnancy I had weekly acupuncture treatments with Sachi. I immediately went back to routine visits with her ahead of the next transfer. That next embryo worked, and I now continue seeing Sachi throughout my second pregnancy. I am incredibly thankful for the healthiest, happiest first baby and a smooth pregnancy and very easy C-section delivery and recovery at my advanced maternal age. I know my treatments with Sachi played a huge role in my outcome. She was also such a reassuring and supportive presence throughout the entire experience. Sachi is knowledgeable, meticulous, calming and caring, and genuinely invested in her patients. I will always be grateful for the role she has played in helping me grow my family. I recommend her wholeheartedly, especially to anyone going through IVF, from egg retrievals to preparing for an embryo transfer, or looking for support throughout pregnancy. Added bonuses : booking is a breeze, location is very convenient, very clean and hygienic, and serene environment in a beautiful building.

It started within a week of starting a job in Sunnyvale and kept going for years. Every six weeks, like clockwork, I would get a sinus infection which then turned into a cold / flu / whatever that kept me sick for two weeks and out of work for a few days. After seven bouts of this in twelve months, I was getting super depressed and frustrated. I went to ENTs, allergists, all types of Western medical doctors, took all sorts of antibiotics (with their side-effects) and then an acquaintance recommended acupuncture, which saved me (and my sanity). I went to her acupuncturist and I didn't get a cold (or this strange sinus infection - very similar) for almost 18 months. Then I lasted another 15 months before I got a cold. Then my acupuncturist retired and I went to the woman who took over her business. I saw her three times and within two days, all three times, I came down with the two-week sinus condition. Every time. I say "she pushed the right spots, but she pushed them the wrong way". Needless to say, I stopped seeing her. After whining about how miserable I was, my chiropractor recommended Dr. Weiss, who I saw and who saved me from those dreaded sinus infections happening every six weeks and has kept me in such good shape for well over ten years - closer to twenty. No more sinus infections, rarely even a cold, definitely not the flu. I see him every month and get a tune up and I swear by him. He has helped me with headaches, a bad back, IBS, all sorts of aches and pains and ailments over this long time. Some things are resolved and disappear right away and others may take a few treatments, but whatever is going on, he lets me know if he can help or not. Acupuncture works but you need the right person to do it. He is the right one for me, for sure. Everyone I have recommended him to has been very, very happy.
