Recently, we had an issue with some lights in our strata. Another electrical company told us that we needed to replace three outdoor lights at a cost of approximately $1,500 each (total $5,000.) This did not sound right to us so we called Friesen Electric who came to investigate. Richard found that they did not need to be replaced at all. He even showed us how we could change the bulbs ourselves. He didn't even charge for the service call! Friesen Electric is a company you can trust.

We reset our breaker but unfortunately no dice - nothing changed. Our neighbors had no issues, so we knew we needed an electrician. Being close to Christmas, we were a concerned about availability and cost. We were pleased to find out the "Swiss Guy" had availability the same day. Aaron arrived on schedule and was absolutely awesome to work with. He quickly diagnosed the root problem, which was a bad/loose connection with one of our smart light switches. As soon as the connection was tightened up, all lights were back. Since we were fed up with our smart switches not working well (they are kind of overrated), he swapped them all out with regular switches. This was all done in under an hour. Once that work was done, Aaron was 100% willing and able to fix a laundry list of other stuff we had been putting off: A partially dead electrical socket, a loose light switch plate in the bedroom, a ceiling fan with intermittent lighting, and a new bedroom light fixture we needed to put it. He did everything quickly and efficiently over a couple of hours all while being incredibly personable. A good quote I recall from him - when I asked him how much time he had (worried he may need to go), he said: "I'm done when everything is fixed!". To top it off, his pricing was an absolute bargain compared to competitors! In conclusion, we were thoroughly impressed with Aaron's service. We highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work! :)

It took longer than I had liked to get a response, but I did hear back from them. I was told to call the office or send an email; so, I emailed them a short description of the work with a picture. The entire process of getting an estimate took 2 business days. I requested an estimate via Yelp Sunday afternoon and received their bid Tuesday afternoon. I decided not to go with Bode's Electric because their estimate was on the higher side among the several estimates I received. In fact, their estimate along with a few others were significantly higher than a couple of bids from other companies in town (more than double).
