We looked at several other venues and chose Bentwood because of the serene beauty of the grounds. The reception area has beautiful wood tables and a stage with a lit dance floor. Stage area set up for DJ or Band with lights strung throughout. There is a wonderful walkway down to a pond area with an alter. There are 4 rooms that come with the weekend package. 1 with bunkbeds, 3 with queen size beds. The grooms area was set up with a pool table, dart board and refrigerator to keep the boys occupied while the girls got ready in a beautiful bridal room. Other venues we looked at gave you a couple of hours before and after the event to set up, have the ceremony and then clean up. We liked the fact that with the weekend package we could set up on friday, enjoy saturday and clean up Sunday. They have several packages to cover almost any need. We have been to several weddings this year and I have to say that Bentwood was by far the best venue.

On the day of the rehearsal, my foot fell through a rotten plank of wood and they immediately remedied that which was amazing. Our advisor was very kind and helpful throughout the experience and answered our endless questions. The day of the wedding, however, our advisor was not scheduled to be working, so he was not there and the only staff who were there had not met us before and, due to a language barrier, had a very tough time communicating our needs. Several things went wrong the day-of like no electricity in the ceremony space, tables and chairs incorrectly laid out (several guests had nowhere to sit), and those ceilings were still unfinished (also wasps live in the insulation and attacked one of my bridesmaids). We brought up these concerns to our advisor and never received a response. Like, for weeks. We followed up. Nothing. Then, we get a check in the mail which IMO was not for enough money, but still no communication. It's like the customer service relationship immediately ends on the day of the wedding. Just bizarre. If they ever fix these ceilings, I'd say book it and ensure that your advisor will be working the day of your wedding.

I asked why the child is not able to ride the horse compared to the other children. They said because it's too big and I said too tall or too big size because we can weigh it out And measured the child's weight, but then I seen another child come to the horse and ask why the horse is standing around and I said the same thing to my friend Child. I said they said that the children cannot ride this any longer because the saddle is broken and then after that, they let someone Ride the horse with knowing that the saddle is broken. I did not have a good feeling about that, so I took my child far away from the horse just in case something was going to happen the bunnies, the ducks, the little chickens. The goats were very cute. Children tried to pick them up. Man said no do not pick up the animals, but the way he said it it was in the little rude way the child started to run and come to its parent at that point I came up and I said please don't speak to the child this way because mine also is playing with the animals. I spoke to one of the coworkers and said how long have you worked here and is it a good company because I have others who want to use the company for a birthday party for the children and they said yes but it's my first day so therefore I have a lot of questions because I came to this job thinking I was trained and there is no training and now I am having to tell children not to pick up the animals and they're unhappy because the parents said that they can't ride the horse so the children became very unhappy because the party was cut short. Sounds like the people who are working need more training and need to be able to know that if the saddle is broken, you need to fix it before bringing it to the party and please don't vape or smoke any other electronic cigarettes at the party because that was very concerning as adults have seen you And you are working for one of the families. You should know that there is no smoking at a child's party so your boss should've trained you better and you should know better as adult. I was very concerned when I seen the man smoking electronics at the birthday party and I have spoken to one of the parents about it and that was not allowed that was not in the contract that was signed and verbally spoken about also Safety. Concern of a child is very important. That is something that's going to be spoken about to others.
