I want to start by saying, the venue is beautiful, the preferred vendors are great to work with,…read moreand the venue coordinator is very responsive and helpful leading up to your wedding. Our world shut down in Texas 3 weeks before our wedding date. I am giving The Union 1 star due to the fact that they were not willing to refund out deposits. I had to cancel my wedding due to Covid-19, as my fiancé's side is all from New York. On April 2nd, 2020, everything, including The Union, shut down. Based on the contract, this should have fallen into Force Majeure, for which I should have received all monies paid. However, I because I decided to hold onto the last large lump sum of my remaining balance, I "broke contract" and they will not be giving my any refund. Thank God I didn't pay the remaining balance because they would have kept that too. To be fair, The Union did offer to let us reschedule the wedding date at not cost, but given the current state of the country and travel restrictions, it's not worth the risk of endangering my loved ones. We would have considered rebooking when/if things got better, but the venue does not hold the same feeling it once did.

Having worked hundreds of weddings as a coordinator and staffing specialist, I was very excited…read moreabout this working at this new venue. It's location is a stretch but the architecture and scenery is beautiful BUT beauty does not make up for personality. The lady in charge, site manager - Tina was just awful from start to end. She did not return calls, was defensive about every single question or concern and was right out rude from planning to the day of. I have no earthly clue why the owner would want someone with that sort of attitude promoting weddings and events. I will never ever coordinate or work a wedding there again after my experience with her last weekend. She was horrifically mean spirited, rude and furious and just about verbally assaulted anyone she spoke with on the day of the wedding I coordinated there. I did everything I could to change her tune, make her happy and just keep the bride and groom sheltered from her grotesque nature. She was in my face all night complaining constantly about very silly things such as 'diapers being in her trash cans', 'cups being left in the bridal suite' and even told me that the attendees and wedding party were 'trashy and disgusting'. This party was calm, respectful, fun loving and also friends of mine. Speaking about your clients that was is just unheard of. For those of us in the industry - weddings can be stressful enough on a couple, having a coordinator and good vendors make all the difference on creating a fun and memorable day for them. But when you have someone like Tina parading around during their wedding complaining and threatening charges on every single mishap- it can really cause a bad vibe. I am not one to get angry easily but her raising her voice, yelling at me over the tiniest and silliest things I was just in awe of how angry this woman must live her life. I stayed 3 hours after I was paid to help her out and clean up every tiny piece of trash while she sat and pointed/complained. And then she complained some more that it was taking me too long. I showed up early on in the day to get set up and introduce myself and her response was "You need to leave my venue and sit outside and wait until 2pm, I have a life you know". Woah. That woman has no business booking weddings, taking care of that venue or even being in any sort of sales/personnel business. She was just awful, so much so I wanted to let others know to STAY AWAY from this mess. Don't spend your wedding fighting with her, dealing with her drama on your big day - it can sincerely ruin the vibe. Do not let the beauty of the home (venue) detour you. There are hundreds of venues in the greater Austin area. Avoid this one like the plague, unless they fire Tina. She claims to be best friends with the owner so that is unlikely to happen anytime soon... Good luck Villa on Lake Georgetown, your reviews online and verbally are horrific due to one bad apple. This business is not going to succeed at all. After my experience, and not really wanting to 'bash' anyone- this all had to be said to save prospective brides from booking with her disastrous attitude and way of operating this place!

There really was something for everyone one to enjoy..from the babies to the grown peeps! And the Reunion Ranch staff are so organized & kept things flowing so smoothly..even with over 400 attendees! I also really liked how the RR staff would announce over the loud speaker what activity was about to start. Activities Reunion Ranch offered: -tug of war mud pit..yes, complete with a real MUD PIT!! -volleyball courts -canoe & paddle boats -man made little sand beach -maze -horse shoes & washers -miniature golf -zip line -wagon rides -pony rides -obstacle course -teen tower -dunking booth ect ect ect And so many more activities but tooooo many to name & I'm not trying to get carpal tunnel ;) Another thing I give kudos to Reunion Ranch is the food serving line..they have about 6 different serving lines w/ RR staff making the plates & even w/ over 400 people in attendance the wait time was super fast. We had all you can eat barbecue plates & all you can eat Bluebell ice cream cups! There also was cotton candy, popcorn, & snow-cones for everyone to enjoy & for us adults..the libations offered were...sangrias, beer, & wine!! I was a regular at the sangria station!! ;) Reunion Ranch really is a cool place to have a team building event, reunion, or a wedding. The venue itself is so pretty surrounded by lots of trees & just has a different vibe to it. For sure I totally recommend Reunion Ranch!! They get 5+++++++++++ stars in my book -Rebecca out

The tall windows…read morespanning half of the walls brings in all the magical natural light and makes the actually decent sized space feel giant and open. My husband and I are already interested after one visit in checking out pricing for possibly renting out the space for an event of our own. The bathrooms are gender neutral BUT when you go in there the different stall doors have only one label, guys or gals, on the door which is very confusing to people entering the bathroom or waiting for stalls and thinking maybe the guys labeled stall only has a urinal or something but they're all the same toilet. It has a very classy, purposefully dated look but was extremely cleaned and well maintained. They also have free guest Wi-Fi. The cocktails are a little pricey for the area, but the venue space and the quality of the drinks were well worth the price. They actually have a quite expansive menu of drink options as well. Definitely needs more seating options for the drink window area if they plan on having more open hours days for people to randomly come in and enjoy a specially crafted drink. I can't wait to see what this place turns into!

I had the opportunity to attend a wedding at One Eleven East recently and was blown away by this venue. It lent itself beautifully to a 2020 wedding- with such an open, airy aesthetic that you feel compelled to throw up a pic on your IG because you're suddenly at 'influencer-level gorgeous' standing against these white bricks with that fabulous golden-hour lighting. Let's talk about logistics. As a guest, Hutto is definitely not right near Austin, but the Lyft ride wasn't bad at all and the wedding had set up a shuttle bus to get folks to the Austin hotel after the wedding. I'm not sure how many Lyfts or Ubers you'd find if you went searching at 11pm, so the shuttle back was a big plus. The venue itself had two large spaces (one presumably for the ceremony and the other for dinner), with a bar space and an outdoor area (cocktail hour vibes). I didn't see a kitchen, but this wedding had dinner set up as a buffet in the now-empty ceremony room, catered by a BBQ food truck out back. There's an upstairs area for the bridal party to get ready, which presumably has a bathroom (I didn't get up there. I was a +1). The bathroom sitch for guests included a women's room with a couple of stalls and shared sink/mirror space and one single men's room (which caused a bit of a line, but not terrible). Overall, if I was an Auton...ite? Austonian? Anyway, if I lived in Austin, I would absolutely consider this venue. It's minimalist, historic vibe allows you to forgo the unpleasant hotel ballroom pipe-and-drape decor, and you can add a few bits of greenery and call it a day with decor. FABULOUS!
